    I love how transparent you are, Penny. We appreciate your knowledge and experience pro and con. I have lots of devices and only consistent with my RLT. I have the NuFace microcurrent and Lumo RF/EMS. I like the Lumo most I guess because it is multifunction and it is recommended for use once or twice a week, so not a daily conductive gel requirement. I also think ai am a little lazy! lol.

    You look beautiful, Penn! Thanks for the scoop. Would love to hear more about your sculptra journey. I’m considering it but reading some reviews on realself has me spooked! Lumps and chronic inflammation horror stories give me pause but for those whom it works, it looks like a real fountain of youth!

You are so well-researched and knowledgeable, and I recognize that you do NOT have to share this personal information about your routines/procedures with us, but that you do means so so much!!! I am curious if you have any thoughts on any of the serums or supplements to delay gray hair? It sounds like you don't have a ton of gray hair, so I'm not sure if that is just genetic or if there is anything you have done to help in that area. Any advice you might have any is much appreciated! I'm starting to see some grays and am willing to invest in preventative treatments, but they are pretty pricey so also do not want to waste my money. Thanks in advance! :) Keep being amazing and beautiful, and please keep your wonderful advice coming!

    Thank you, Penn! I love these videos, and appreciate your transparency. I am struggling with my hair, and am trying to give it some TLC, but also struggling with feeling like I can’t actually do anything with it. What is your approach for using extensions without them causing more damage to your hair? I’ve been considering them, but I’ve heard they’re quite damaging. I’m in this catch 22 of how to care for my hair & not do more damage, but also want to be able to feel confident in its appearance. 💜

    • @PENNSMITHSKINCARE
      @PENNSMITHSKINCARE  4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      So it REALLY depends on the type of extensions you get.
      I used to teach hair extensions to stylists and I always said that the more points of contact the more damage. I have hand tied beaded row method so there are only like 20 points of contact max. Comparing that to individual extensions (strand by strand) or tape (lots of contact) it’s the most gentle method. I have no shed from these extensions….when I did tape I would lose hair every time we took them out and reapplied. Same with strand by strands.
      So it all comes down to the method!

    What an amazing thing to offer for us! Thank you so much.
    My question may not be something you know about, but thought it was worth a shot. You did something to your lower face that firmed it up over a span of months. Can't remember the procedure, but you did a nice interview with the lady, she's in the Portland area. I am also considering doing a clear and brilliant laser treatment, or perhaps a CO2 laser down the road. It would be two different dermatologists doing these procedures, and they don't a recommendation on which to do first, and how much time to allow between procedures. Do you have any sense of which one should do first? Thanks so much!

      So the treatment I did was Agnes, it was October (2023) and then again in January (2024, this year) 💙
      I did it at skinwiseRX by Lani Doser.
      I think if you were going to do both of those that you’d do the clear and brill first. But if you’ll do a CO2 do you think you need a clear and brilliant?

    • @rubyalanaharris
      @rubyalanaharris 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @PENNSMITHSKINCARE hi! Thank you for the response 😊 no, I would pick one (either the clear and brilliant or the CO2. I'll see see what the derm says. Very interested in the Agnes! However, I'm on a weight loss journey. Got another 50 pounds or so to lose. You have had your own wonderful weight loss. I'm wondering if you have any thoughts on whether I should wait til I'm done losing weight? I've always had a very full face, even when underweight. I love the idea of a lowly losing weight and the Agnea slowly taking effect, and don't want to over-do it. Any input would be so appreciated. Thank you for all that you do for everyone in your life!! 😀

    Please do more of these videos, love it. I use the Photozyme recovery serum every night and my peptide serum. I have a question about which one should be applied first. After I cleaned and toned my skin, I use my peptide serum first then my Photozyme serum. Should your peptide serum go first or the Photozyme

      @PENNSMITHSKINCARE yeah, that does make a lot more sense, by applying that first. Getting close to 50 years old I can use some repair to my skin from the sun over the year. Thank you for answering my question.

    I wish I would have asked sooner before Christmas. I would love a video on skin care ok for teens. I would love to introduce my granddaughters to skin care. They really don’t have acne issues. But looking for ideas that are safe for them such as masks and such for maybe spa days.

    I love when you do these videos! I so appreciate your transparency! So this is a selfish question because I don’t think it applies to you, but, wondering if you have any advice. I’ve been using a hair growth serum (minoxidil, finasteride in alcohol solution from Happy Head). I just recently highlighted my hair and I’m almost certain the product is stripping out my color and cashing it to turn yellowy! I have light brown/dirty blonde hair and have added blonde highlights. I’m not ready to have gray hair so I do want to color my hair but don’t know how I can do that if the hair serum is stripping my color! Do you have any creative solutions? Demi permanent color more often? Help!! I’m getting married next year and hoping to have some type of solution. Any tips you may have are much appreciated. I always trust your recommendations! I searched the fb group to see if anyone else has experienced this and couldn’t find any solutions sadly.

    Thank you! My Doctor uses a dilluted layer of sculptra and micro-needles it into my skin. I have two more treatments, one month apart. Have you had experience with this?
    Your face does look chiseled, how much weight did you lose? 😊

    • @PENNSMITHSKINCARE
      @PENNSMITHSKINCARE  5 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      Many years ago we needled sculptra- I do think it was great for my skin at the time!
      I lost over 25 pounds- which for me and my height is a decent amount. I’ve actually put about 5 pounds back on (on purpose).
      I got a little too focused on it so I had to re-evaluate myself 😊

      @@PENNSMITHSKINCARE maybe you can do a video about your weight loss? 25lbs is a lot! Too much weight loss will give us skinny sunken face that doesn’t look good for our age (I’m 48)!
      I always have a skinny sunken face and some weight loss makes it even worse. I finally tried 2 treatments of Sculptra in the early 2024 (4 vials total after 2 treatments), my face looked better but still not enough volume.
      I finally did my 1st Renuva on 10/31/24 and 2nd treatment on 12/3/24 and my last treatment will be on 1/7/25.
      Now it’s too early for me to tell if I have completely restored my facial fat + volume from Renuva until April next year (Renuva takes time like Sculptra but last for 7-10 yrs), but I am happy with the experience so far since I always have doubts about doing Sculptra every year for maintenance (facial volume). Renuva is VERY expensive but in the long run, Sculptra costs a lot more and I don’t enjoy any needle injections on my face.

I just did a little bit in my forehead and not right away after, but weeks later I had muscle weakness and heart palpitations and pain in my extremities.
