sir, what if the segement is overlapping how to calculate them? how do we place the result of the fft/dft of the overlapped window on the spectrogram?

If the segments are overlapping then shift the window according to your choice of overlapping section only. On spectrograms simply stack the DFT outputs as you do for non-overlapping case
