I love the hunter marathons and to see you try different tricks with hunters, specially Leo. It'd be nice to see you play them on rank rather than 5v5 so there's less 4k slugging (3ks are quite enough, plus 5v5 players tend to be quite bad) and we can appreciate even more how much you're improving at every hunter. I'd love to request you to try patroller naiad next marathon, I promise it works even if survivors run to corners as long as you run left to right against them (I use it quite a lot, creates small pools for them to gain big stacks, just like with chair camping).

It used to be punished more, but IdentityV built the game around it there are alot of survivors who can stun long amounts, prevent pick ups, teleport survivors across the map, some can fly, some can repeatedly stun the killer while having a speed up and a jump boost, etc etc (the 'rescue' survivor category specifically are survivors made to counter camping, along side with the 'tide turner' perk being a must have for them) point is, its been years known that you will lose if you dont know how to camp and proxy camp survivor mains and killer mains both tend to make fun of new IdentityV players whenever they complain about camping, its probably the only thing IdentityV survivors and killers can agree on (the amount of "I hate camping" noobie jokes thrown around and art is ALOT)
Dead by daylight is very different from IdentityV due to both killer and survivor abilities being more 'out there' than dbd (ex priestess spamming portals during kite, people dont suggest playing priestess for this reason-her portals make it easier to kite and thus never teaching you) I play both, and tbh I tend to have more fun playing DBD because I get bored sitting infront of chairs, I base my builds on no camp bloody queen and evil reptillian but its still pretty difficult to win against survivors who know how to play the game especially when there are survivors like prisoner who can connect two ciphers together and do both of them at the same time
There's different category of hunter/killer in IDV. 1. Camp hunter, 2. Pursuit hunter, & 3. Map control hunter. Even in IDV, camping the chair doesn't mean you'll win. Camp hunter lack pursuit and map control.
Chair camping is more accepted in idv and is treated as its own separate mechanic. Usually hunters with good camp tend to suffer in other categories such as chase or map pressure such as Guard 26 who has some of the best camp potential in the game, but he usually gets ties due to his lack of map pressure. That being said, even with Guard 26, there’s always characters like Mercenary or Forward that CAN guarantee rescues. Of course, there’s hunters who are a little more well rounded such as Naiad, but there’s also survivors like Priestess that are a Jack of all trades. It’s just a matter of balancing both sides and giving them ways to counter each other. Also it’s just the fact that tunneling is the best way to secure an elimination. You could try and play more aggressively and chase a new target, but it’s just really risky and it’ll just get harder to win once you hit those higher tiers. The only exception I can think of is probably Percy, but that’s only because he can’t chair survivors.

yea the games are different. if you try not to camp in idv i can guarantee you. you will lose all your matches against half-decent surviovors
