I came to school just in time for my last class, for the third time this week. Listening to music and drawing, look up to see everyone has already gone to the buses. "Oh, HECK!!". I grab my stuff and run down the halls at sanic speeds. I skid around a corner, run halfway down that halway, and collapse, a panting, sweaty mess. But alas, no time to stop! I get back up and start picking up speed, but as I near the doors between school and freedom, the final, ominous bell of the day rings out across the school, and the doors automatically lock, and the lights dim. I hear the heavy mechanisms in the door slamming into place, solid steel holding the doors closed. "Oh... no..." I say between heavy breaths. I lean back against a wall and let myself slide slowly to the floor, my backpack beside me, and catch my breath for a while. Something made me want to look back down that hallway, further into the gloomy depths of the school. I accepted the call from my subconscious, and a chill ran down my spine as I saw him. It. My heart thudded and thumped against my ribs as if it was trying to get out. In the distance, was the dark silluette of the principal himself. He walked down the hall with a slow, confident stride, one foot, then the other, as if he were a tiger approaching prey too weak to walk. I, an injured gazelle. He, a lion. As he neared, I could hear the clip, clop, clip, clop of his expensive black shoes striking the floor with each step, like the hooves of a knight's huge horse in the stone streets of a king's castle, echoing through the tunnel that was surely the place of my demise. Even more clearly I could hear my pounding heart beating in my ears. As he got even closer to me, I could start to see him more clearly in the dim lights remaining on. My eyes swept quickly over a neat black suit with a stone-grey tie as they focused on his face. The corner of his mouth turned up into a devilish smirk. Then, our eyes met. I could see in his eyes his evil delight. Surely, he waits every day for this to happen. A student with missing work, or other acts of disobedience upon his or her consience, to get caught too late to escape. He saw the eyes of a mouse dropped into the tank of a hungry and sadistic snake, paralyzed by the fear of the agonizing and slow demise that was about to catch him. "Well, well, well, it looks like somebody couldn't escape their work after all." He stopped about 10 feet away. I pushed myself further back towards the doors with my feet, and with every foot back I moved, he took another step forwards. He chuckled. "Don't bother. You had your chance to run, and now it's gone. There's no chance of getting away from me this time, and we both know it. I'm sure your friend James would agree." At the mention of James, my fear gave way to a bit of anger, like the sun piercing through some grey clouds. I gasped. "No! James... went to... another school! They announced it... in class! You're lying!" I exclaimed between breaths. "Hahaha, listen to you! A disobedient little kid, claiming that the principal is lying? Why, that's absurd! That announcement was just a ruse. And if you don't believe, you will soon enough!" And I could tell he meant it. I put my sketchbook and pencil into my backpack and zipped it up, before getting to my feet, and slipping the book bag's straps over my shoulders. I could practically feel him tense his muscles, like a cat preparing to pounce on an unsuspecting bird. I took a step towards him. "I should certainly hope you are just coming with me to the main office, young man." I hesitated a moment. An idea occured to me. "Uh... yes, of course!" I walked with him a ways, my heart still franticly beating, but not quite as fierce as before. I slowly slipped my phone from my pocket into my hand so he wouldn't notice, took one last deep breath, and took off running. But I ran around a few corners, looked back, and he was gone. I started to walk and catch my breath. At one point, I stopped. And the sound of my footsteps continued. "Heck!!" I dashed off, but only made it a few steps before a hand clamped down on my collar. The sudden stop caused my phone to fly from my sweaty hands, as well as my feet fly out from beneath me. He hoisted me back up onto me feet, and grabbed me securely by my arm. It hurt how tightly he held it, restricting my free movement like a cop dragging a criminal back to the patrol car. As we passed my phone, he picked it up and put it in his pocket. "Now, for running from me like that, this phone is mine for a long time. I thought we had agreed that you wouldn't make this harder than it has to be." I looked up and the sight of the main office in the distance made me temporarily forget my pain. I was never seen again. Everyone thought I had just "gone to another school". If only they knew... I hope you enjoyed my story!

Funny thing something similar, but on a much lower scale, happened to me. Okay so me, my mom and sister went to the new school building that my sister and I were set to go to when the year started for a parent teacher orientation sort of thing. The grown ups are talking, the kids are in the other room and I'm just sitting with the kids playing my GBA. When the meeting was over, my mom and sister went to the bathroom and I waited for them just outside, my eyes COMPLETELY glued to my Game Boy. A few seconds after they came out, the lights turned off, and nobody was there. When we finally got to the entrance, the door was locked and we just started pounding on the door yelling for someone to let us out. It took a few minutes because I doubt anyone heard us at first, but someone did eventually let us out and all's well that ends well...although I DID get my Game Boy taken away when we got back home, cause it was way too distracting.

This story had remind me of what happen when I was young. Storytime: I was little, might be 7 years old. When I was young, I gotten sick a lot. So anytime I go to sleep I throw up in the middle of the night. Then from my bed to the spare room, from spare room to my parents. So months later I stop (or started to stop in some nights) of throwing up. But one night, I was really thirsty, I got up and had to.. what I thought was the door, but I hit a wall and I thought "okay, thats wried, but the door should be here" I still hit into a wall, it was pitch black in the room and I'm trying to find the door. but I keep hitting wall after wall. I started screaming, crying and banging on the walls, I thought I was trap in a room with no way out. I crawl back to bed and cried until the lights turn on. My dad bolts in and checking if I was okay, I look around the room and found out I was sleeping in the spare room, but just had forgotten. ^^' At my age now, looking back at it was silly, but as a young kid. I thought I was going to never see the light again. xD

Me and two of my cousins, one also 8 or 9 and the other 13 or 14, went to the basement to hide, but no one saw us go down there. There were no windows in there (duh, its a basement), so it was nearly pitch black. Luckily, my older cousin had his phone with him and had a flashlight on it. He used that and we got out. Thats a story that happened!!

I thought, we were having gym classes outside but...we weren't... So in the lunchbreak I got over there so I would be early and could change in peace (that means without al these horrible screaming around me). So I wasn't really surprised that there was no one there. I got in and changed. Then I saw on my watch that it was time for gym class so my classmates could get here any minute. But they didn't. So I thought maybe the gymclasses for today were cancelled and I packed my stuff to get out. But then when I tried to open the door, it didn't open. I tried pulling the other way bujt nothing happen. I was locked up. Suddenly my mind got very clear and I started thinking of my options, wich weren't many:1) Screaming for help. (the gym basement was on a really big terrain and anyone outside wouldn't be able to hear me so that was really useless. I did i anyway.)2) Calling somebody. I forgot my Phone so I had to search for another Phone. There was nothing but some alarm thingy locked up behing glass where I didn't hold the key form... So that wasn't doing either. 3) Trying to activate some sort of alarm: I did turn on the alarm in the toilet for handicap people so I wouldn't have to scream anymore and could spare my voice. It was really loud and a thing that saved me in the end.4) Finding something to break the glass so I could break out. I found a broom, but it was like double glass so that didn't help at all. 5) Thinking about what happens if I stay. It was on a Friday sooo... I thought there wouldn't be sport classes in here till monday. That meant I would get locked up here for at least 3 nights. I had water and toilet acces though so I would have survived.After I tried all of that there was time for panicking. I screamed until my voice was so raw I had to stop. Then everything turned deadly silent. So silent, I could hear my own heartbeat. I started imagining that voices from upstairs and asked I they could hear me. The basement had no first floor and it wasn't untill after that, that I realized I heard gosts talking up on the roof. When I was a kid, I culd hear the gosts when I was homealone. I heard them walking on the stairs and wishpering. At first I always got scrared and thought there were burgulars in the house, but after time I got used to it. Well, back to the story: So I sat there crying under the horrible sound of the alarm for three hours when I heard someone unlocking the door. I stood up and ran to the door straigth into the arms of a complete stranger wich was part of a group old people that came to play cards here. They were really nice and comforted me while they unlocked another where I had seen a Phone earlier. They called the school and I rode my bike into freedom. The moral of this story... NEVER FORGET YOUR PHONE GUYS!!!!
