I must admit, even tho I rated him, I thought his price tag was unwarranted. Never been so glad to be wrong about something, he is worth every penny.

I remember thinking a year and a half ago Rice was what we were missing in midfield but thought he'd go Chelsea because of the price tag. Rice and Partey together could be one of the best central midfield pairings in football - Shame Parteys injuries are stopping us from seeing it...

@@kunimitsune177 He was really undisciplined at the time. However that was during the time where Arsenal were at their worst and were stuck at Mid-Table. When Arteta came in, he sorted out the problems like terminating Aubameyangs contract, letting Ozil go and many other problems. Also Xhakas mentality seemed to have changed and he improved as time went on.
Imagine this guy and a fully fit in form Partey in our midfield. That would be a sight to behold
That is my dream midfield, with Ødegaard in there.
I wonder when will we ever see all our best players playing together. We didn't see that often even in last season

He's not perfect yet but he's a hell of a player and could legitimately develop into the best holding midfielder in the world. He just needs to become a touch more press resistant and pass a tiny bit better and he's there.

The fact we've seen nobody even question the price tag since he joined tells you all you need to know. I love the fact that Arsenal are acting like a big club finally. They saw a player who could have a huge impact on our team and literally be central to building up from where we were at the end of last season and we pushed harder than City to get our man and got him. Absolutely love what he brings to the team and has barely put a foot wrong since he joined.
What I love about Rice is when the team is losing or fighting for a winner he steps it up and leads the team forward. It was a quality the West Ham players credited for their premier league survival
one of a kind type of player.. so hard to beat if he had the ball.. he look slow but he's fast.. rarely injured.. strong in the air strong on the ground.. we got a gem..

One of the best signings in our clubs history, I don't think anyone has mentioned his price tag since he'd played a few games for The Arsenal. He's such a hardworking, dedicated, talented and intelligent player and to be honest, I think we actually robbed West Ham!!

Can see why Arsenal were determined to get him at whatever the cost. I think if we paid an extra £20/30 mil it would still have been a steal. He’s genuinely one of the top midfielders in world football.
him and Saliba actually have very similar techniques. Both are very physical, calm and both exactly know every step that they take. Always focused in for 100% and in total control. Bcs of them and + Gabriel6 we conceded less than anybody in prem so far.

I think about all the times as a kid my friends and I would try to find the perfect DM for Arsenal to finally fulfill that Vieira mythology, of all the players we "discovered" and disappointed that Wenger didn't sign them, none have come close to what Declan Rice has turned out to be for Arsenal. Everyone knew he was good, but what Arteta has done is masterful, era defining signing.

It's weird there were some standout players last season but Rice topped all of them apart from Saliba... Imo we need some better players around that midfield... Its our weakest even with rice
the way he drive the ball and carry the ball, he's so good with that. even if he lose the ball, he get the ball back.

Sincerely speaking am amongst the fans who disapproved his worth but watching him and seeing his hardwork and passion for the team. He has turned out to be one of my favourite Arsenal players.

People are usually very happy with the kind of player who contributes with a 7/10 performance every week but this man is normally a 8/10, if not more. He's got everything a midfielder needs. There's nothing you could say ''uh, maybe he could get better at this or that'', all around a fantastic player.

I think Thomas Partey need to be sold for some reliable fees he's gradually becoming a liability with his injury records. Rice is the perfect replacement for Thomas but still need that Xhaka replacement in Zubimendi cos Kai can't be that guy.
