Hafsa was a Crimean Princess daughter of Menli Khan from the Giray family. She was also one of the first powerful royal women of the Ottoman Sultanate.
@@mariavi33 Suleiman was the first sultan who married a slave, before that the Sultans married offf to noble and aristocrat families bf thelaw of his great grandpa Fatih Mehmet.
Hey can you made another video of sultanat of women, put all the powerful sultanas starting from their childhood to old age, with this music, Im obsessed with this music. I just love your videos, i can relate them via this video. Plz make another one exactly like this.

Ayse Hafsa Sultan is not a part of Sultanate of Women. That era began in 1530, when Hurrem was married to Suleiman. And you haven`t included Mihrimah Sultan, who was also very powerful. She is the only princess in Ottoman history who acted as Valide Sultan.
Shamima Jahan Yes. His alcoholism likely made it worse. All his 15-16 sons died young and only 5-9 of his 12 daughters made it to adulthood. Its hard to say exactly how many because we dont have the dates of births and deaths for many of them, but 5 for completly certain. 4 others were married, but the born Sultanas were married off very young in this era. His most famous daughter and Kosems favourite granddaughter Kaya Ismihan was for example 11.
Mahidevran Hatun is not considered to be a part of the Sultanate of women. She also did not have much political influence. She is sometimes called ‘the last concubine of the provinces’ because she was the last to follow the traditional path before Suleiman reformed it. The traditional path was: Have a son-raising that son-follow him to his province and rule his harem-have your son become Sultan and rule his harem in the Old palace/having your son die before becoming Sultan and retire to Bursa.
Irony of Ironies, Kosem looked the Most innocent in this. Not that she was a bad ruler, Definitely not, She deserves still after all these centuries, all the Respect that she gets, for she was a Good and Just person, but Innocent, no no no, She Was a Murderess, an ultra dangerous Woman if you cross her, It doesn't matter if you are her own child, she could be ruthless.
Also Ayşe Hafsa, Handan and Halime weren't among the women who actually ruled during the Sultanate of Women. Also another important Sultana during this period was Turhan Hatice, Kösem's daughter-in-law, who hasn't appeared in the TV series yet.

Where is Mahidevran Sultan?
Mahidevran Hatun is not considered to be a part of the Sultanate of women. She also did not have much political influence. She is sometimes called ‘the last concubine of the provinces’ because she was the last to follow the traditional path before Suleiman reformed it. The traditional path was:
Have a son-raising that son-follow him to his province and rule his harem-have your son become Sultan and rule his harem in the Old palace/having your son die before becoming Sultan and retire to Bursa.
