Little backstory info
Sora was born and grew up in a small town that was mostly traditional and basically run by religion. Dresses were normalized as female clothing so it became unacceptable for boys to wear dresses or skirts. The island also hated pirates so when Sora decided he was going to leave the island he left nothing important behind, wanting to find a true family and to gain the freedom he longed for, which he found in the faction isles.
Sora has no problem with wearing anything, he likes dresses and he like pants. It doesn't really matter to him.
