Agree. I smoked cigarettes for many years and finally quit. Been cigarette free for 10 years now and let me tell you. It was a struggle. When I gave up the cigarettes, I stopped drinking as well because they both went hand in hand with me.

Please everyone know that my father worked on the 3 to 11 shift at a Phillip Morris menthal plant application back in 1988 ,when they had a chemical leak they had a bird in a cage that died and there was an obvious problem all the 37 some people working shift died with youngest dying last in 1995 .My father died a year later in April 25th of 1989. I didn't know what had happened until the youngest guy on the shift told me what had happened. It was kept quiet. The plant was relocates to Winston Salem N. C. My family had no way of knowing what really happened and the statue of limitations for wrongful death by a manufacturing Co. Is 2.5 years. If it killed the entire shift of Black employees from a concentrated leak of chemicals then obviously the chemicals are just as deadly as the tobacco. BE WARNED IT'S WHAT THEY ARE PUTTING IN THE PRODUCTS TOO.

@@addajjalsonofallah6217 There are actually hundreds of bills and programs all being tossed around at the same time. There has actually been investment in trade schools and getting the homeless back into the workforce. None of these issues can be solved by magically snapping our fingers.
I remember when I was in high school, New Port and Kool cigarette van used to park down the street from my school and hand out 5 cigarettes in a pack and a lighter and a key chain water game, we thought that was so cool, I'm 61 and I just stopped a little while ago, thank God, they set us up, we got to remember if they give you something for free it still comes with a price.

@@DropBox-jx6yr we were told they were more dangerous than regular cigarettes as they have more chemicals. But, some places sell menthol drops that you can squeeze on the filter before smoking it.
@@DropBox-jx6yr the government also said it's easier for kids to smoke menthol flavour cigarettes. The ban has backfired a bit because there is more kids than ever vaping. They'll eventually just end up with a different kind of lung cancer

I smoked for 15 years. When I learned how they were marketed to Black people, it was one of the biggest reasons I worked hard to quit. I stopped smoking in 2009. Menthol and all flavored cigarettes are banned in California anyway, so keep banning those shits everywhere! Ban smoking, period! BTW if you go to the UK, cigarettes arent even allowed on display. I've read a lot of articles and watched a lot of videos about studies on banning menthol cigarettes and other smoking products. I've never heard them say "we're doing this for black people." I've only heard us talking about how this is really something that needs to be looked at. This kind of stuff doesn't just fall out of the sky. People have been pushing for this to be looked at for a long time. If we're being honest over the last couple of decades, we've seen more and more anti-smoking information out there. Everything is not a conspiracy. The cigarettes companies have pushed about against a lot of things in the past, and certain regulations still pushed forward. Just like with oil, Biden is probably not the person we need to worry about most being on the side of the cigarette lobby.
Quit smoking. It aint easy, but I did, and I feel good.

Menthol cigarettes have been banned in California for a couple of years. If you want the taste of menthol. You can purchase a menthol-flavored card and place it in the cigarette pack. Wait about an hour and you will have the taste of a menthol cigarette.
