Finale sounds like a parody on Rach 3 Finale with Scriabin Op.8 tossed in

While I was preparing this, the composer came into my dream again and again telling me to study all of Scriabin's Op.8 before even thinking about giving live performance. ...And I gave up.

Rach3 was composed in 1909, which is after Blumenfeld's Ballade. So this is not a parody on Rach 3 Finale (i.e., If you felt like that, my playing was responsible.) Nevertheless I agree with you that these compositions have something in common. In both finales the composers fight against depression and make breakthroughs by frontal attacks.

The common comparison to Scriabin derives from the fact that both composers have a strong Chopin influence and the thick textures of 'Orchestral Writing' that became more common after Liszt. Before Scriabin departed from his Chopin influence and became atonal he blended his writing with a lot of orchestral textures.

No it's the opposite since this was written first meaning Rach was the copy. Please don't spread misinfo.

Thankyou. It took half a year to study this piece. Please visit the original clip in my channel also, if you haven't!
