Nevertheless I agree with you that these compositions have something in common. In both finales the composers fight against depression and make breakthroughs by frontal attacks.
The common comparison to Scriabin derives from the fact that both composers have a strong Chopin influence and the thick textures of 'Orchestral Writing' that became more common after Liszt. Before Scriabin departed from his Chopin influence and became atonal he blended his writing with a lot of orchestral textures.
