  • Honneth's work is located within the tradition of critical social theory (CST). Honneth leaves behind other CST's foundations in Freudian-Marxism and study of barriers to worker/socialist movements, to develop a framework for understanding new social movements of recognition. The first chapters of the book on Hegel's recognition theory are covered. Part 1 of 2.
