Pretty standard optical drive stuff... all CD and DVD players will get like that, even the ones for computers... when they sit for a long time, the belts can become wrapped from sitting the same position for years, and grease on the rails, that the tray rides on can dry up... both of those can cause the tray to stick, or not fully come out, or move slow... and, I think that problem with the tray automatically going back in by itself, is cause the tray didn't come all the way out, it's a safety feature, like if something was in the way of the tray, it just goes back in... but, all of the times, the rails just need to be cleaned and regreased, and maybe a new belt too.
Try and fight it with the IRS if you want. Should be able to claim a shit ton of miles which 2 years ago would be 60 or so cents a mile. That's only if you kept track of them.
