We are indebted to Jawaharlal Nehru for making India a vibrant democracy. Our nation could have easily turned into a failed state after independence. But he didn't let that happen. That's why he is, to me, greatest statesman we have ever produced.
At the same time we should agree that he was a human being, and not god. And humans sometimes tend to commit mistakes or error of judgement. But that doesn't take away their greatness and credit of their good work.
