I can't describe how much I enjoy this show. The sheer fact that you get to listen to your favorite skaters' life stories is just mind-blowing. Amazing!!! The Haslam! Chris from the Richmond park!!!! The sickest dark slide the other day. Wow. Chris flowed me so much gear, pants, wheels, etc. He was a figure at our skate park. He treated the kids with utmost respect. Boarding house!!!!! River road!!! Stu is awesome too! Love you guys! Met your parents a few times too. Class acts. Epic.

I went for dinner with the indy team once in Bristol (Grosso, Steve Olson, French, Stu Graham and others who I cannot remember... Dressen maybe?) anyway Haslam was on this tour also and we all went to eat at Wagamama, which is a pretty nice Asian/noodle/japanese type joint and a really nice place to eat.. Haslam went off on his own and bought a Subway instead.. True Story....

I love how Wizard master Haslam calls his tricks "Moves".
It's funny that he mentioned Pizza Hut, back in the late 90's my friend lived near the Pizza Hut on Wonderland in London, we used to occasionally skate a gap there and one day he was there and a dude showed up that had moved from somewhere to go to school, and was ollieing it with ease. I think he may have skated with him another time as well. I ran into Chris at Slam City 2001 and got a picture with him (shaved head period) and we chatted a bit about the area (he had lived in Byron right beside London) but I never put together the Pizza Hut thing till later. I'm guessing it was him though. A couple of the London homies had heard stories of Chris doing stuff like 360 flipping off the Vic Park stage barefoot, sort of an urban legend in those days lol.

I'd love to see Chris skate a mini ramp.
He snapped his board when he filmed in my college in China about ten years ago , he gave it to someone and that guy sold it to me. Remember there was a shinny huge Indy round sticker at back, and it’s a 8.2 deck I think, I was skating 7.5 then. And every time I did a trick I got to check if the board was okay. I skated it for two months. Best time.
He skated really well at RDS indoor park, the Crackpipe, the Westbeach Ramp, and Richmond Skatepark on River Road. He was really good at all those, plus Bonsor!!

I Was a mongo pusher for a few yrs, took a while to push correctly, bout a yr and half to 2 yrs til it felt natural. my switch pushing looked better than my reg.

i feel you but i never pushed mongo thanks to the tony hawk trick tips videos i started skating goofy but my older brother skated regular and told me thats how to skate so i switched but because of that i can skate and push switch easily

Haslam came to Kamloops BC Canada in his "Tear away" days. One man demo with a couple of shop kids back in 2003 or 2004. The crowd were asked to call out tricks, and one kid called out a 360 flip tailgrab...Yeah right. Haslam drops in on a vert wall quarter pipe towards a kicker to kicker setup. He was going so fast he cleared the second kicker to flat 15 ft 360 flip tailgrab first try. I couldn't believe it. Truly can not understand the raw talent until you see this guy rip in person. Absolutely incredible ledgedary skateboarder.

I’ve had kidney failure before...my piss looked like black coffee. Ended up spending 2 weeks in the hospital.

Jersey Devil it makes the board flip faster . He is just used to that, the time he started skating 7.75 and even 7.5 were very popular so it’s just what he’s used go
In his aii sports board setup he said the board he had was an 8 1/4”

Funny how we all got used to kids starting to skate at 7/8 years old. Back in the day everyone around me started skating at 13/14.
