hello sir, I think i know you that you are the one of our english teacher, in Krisamacan every day english. i like you lesson ,it's very clear. easy to understand
This video is so amazing,as a beginner it helps me so much, at first i was wondering about verb to be I had no idea that i could be expart like how i am now, thank you so much for helping us
I like your lesson. Before watching the video I have no idea how to explain the verb to be in detail to my student but now I can 😍😌. Thank you with all meaning of the word
Thanks! My students have a difficult time with "to be" past/present + adjective. I usually teach Advanced Level, so it gets quite frustrating. I'll break it down slowly like this. Cheers.
Why must we use to be or be before an adjective? For example:- be happy or to be happy. Are they both the same meaning? Can we use it before noun, verb, and adverb?
Andrew ! Thanks for video. Can I use the following sentences 1..... Speaking truth always be a good thing (instead of) ......Speaking truth always is a good thing 2....Two plus two be four (instead of) .....Two plus two is four
Thanks for the lesson and I really love this video .. !! But there is a confuse about how to use "been" and "Being" as be verb, When I google I found some articles, but still I haven't got clear Idea, Could you please Give some real world example sentence how to use "being" and "been" as a "be verb" ? | Subject + have/Has/had + been + Adjective | | Subject + am/is/are + being + Adjective |
It depends on the situation. If you want to emphasize the negative form, you'd say "You're NOT tired". Now, if you're only stating a fact, then you could simply say "You aren't tired".
Hello dear Andro. How are you ? I hope you are doing well.first thanks a lot for your lessons. You teach English very well and complete . I have a question about To Be verb : when we use being in our sentences. Tnx a bunch for helping . Have a nice time . Goodbye
Tx andrew.....just a request can you post more videos bout essay writting...........since its quarantine due on covid 19 it would probably be effective for high school students
Yes, this video explains the conjugations of the verb "to be" in the present tense (affirmative, question and negative) and also past simple (affirmative, question and negative) There are some exercises at the end of the video. Andrew
Negative sentence of simple present is _ sub + do/does + not + v1 + other words And (sub + be form + other words) is also simple present So why ? I am not a good boy Where is do/does
Hello and thanks for the comment and question. In all of the examples in this video, the verb "to be" is a main verb, not a helping (auxiliary) verb. In my next video, I will explain helping verbs. Best wishes, Andrew

Which one is more common in spoken English
1)You're not tired
2)You aren't tired
It depends on the situation. If you want to emphasize the negative form, you'd say "You're NOT tired". Now, if you're only stating a fact, then you could simply say "You aren't tired".
Examples: a) You are NOT tired! you just started! b) You aren't tired as I thought.

And (sub + be form + other words) is also simple present
So why ?

Where is do/does
Smart @ The verb Do is an auxiliary verb for all the other verbs in English, except the verb To Be and a few others like can, etc. Did I explain ok?
Is be a helping verb here ?
