I have a trach, and am on a ventilator. I've grown this in my sputum for years, and previous Drs. actually treated it. My new pulmonologist refuses to treat it with antibiotics. Of course that new pulmonologist is a quack to me. She won't even prescribe my Normal Saline to put down my trach to thin secretions.
