Thanks! One of my big goals with this run is to get as much milage as I can out of CS while still being creative, and i'm glad to say that its performance in this fight is living up to that mission statement :}
Yeah, those Chromatus antics were CRAZY! Yeah, the backwards hitbox stuff, but that ZD off-screen was poggers too. But the most amazing thing to me was the follow-up after the Power Swing for the weakness reset! Just blew my mind 😲! Had me holding my head in disbelief, for real. Amazing work this time fren, ya really outdid yourself with this one =03.
I'm glad somebody pointed out that Zero Divide setup, lol. I highly value the ability to corner steal, so having Heatwave > ZD as an easy "gtfo of the corner" tool mid-combo is very nice to have. It was especially crucial here, since I needed the corner to not be too far away to do my air azure > normal chain after Falling Snow, but I also didn't want to stay in the corner afterwards. Thanks as always, I aim to continue improving :}
Oh my god. He actually did it... the fact that you actually managed to get a 0 to death off that exploit was crazy considering his bulk. That follow up after the Chromatus was clean asf. Christ dude, you truly outdid yourself with this one, haha. Keep up that momentum!
What can I say? The second I saw that Gale Fang dodge, I got *motivated.* The spirit of -Vergil- Gaius pulled through to make this happen. I'll try to keep it moving. At the very least, Odin won't take too long to re-record since that take has been cooking for ages now, but I figure Rideaux II won't take too long either before Victor puts a stop in my tracks lol.
your chromatus phase... you only get better with time Jakkun-sensei... jokes aside that was sick and the reset afterwards is so nutty, i cant even imagine. really you have improved so much even though you were already amazing at Luds LOL I look forward to more from you... the Odin take sounds exciting! Then its Victor time...
It feels nice to still be learning and discovering new things with this goofy game and goofy character, even after all these years. I'm glad said discoveries are entertaining for you guys as well :} I'm one more step closer to Victor... I won't lie, I'm a little scared of the hell I'm inevitably gonna go through. But at the same time, the aforementioned improvements and discoveries are preparing me for my rematch with him. It's like the ultimate test for me, haha.
That's crazy you can just... walk through Gale Fang. Im curious to see if that works in X1 now, haha. Big fan of using normals to realign yourself during CS to keep the combo going (then launching as you revert). Despite you saying you're getting tired of human fights, you made this look hella interesting. 🐐 moment
Something I should add on the subject of Gale Fang is that I was only able to walk through it with Sword Ludger. Hammer and Gun Ludger couldn't phase through him. Idk if any other characters can phase through him, but I'd love to see someone abuse this in X1, for sure lol. Trying to do precise stuff with CS sometimes feels like I'm trying to tame a wild animal, with how it loves to keep moving forward with its attacks and general wonkiness. I'm glad the normals stood out to you, as that was my favorite part of CS to lab. I got Odin next, so I'll definitely get my monster fix before Rideaux threatens to ruin my fun, and Victor...we'll cross that bridge when we get there 😅. I'll continue to try and keep things interesting, let's just hope my mental can hold up through the rest of this arc lmao.
A lot of trial and error. Thankfully RPCS3 savestates came in clutch to make labbing the CS combo actually feasible. When's Bisley? I wish I could give you an answer but I got to get through Victor first before I can even say anything. Let's just say sometime next year, if life/motivation allows.
Look at Gaius flexing as if he did anything. Guess a King always has to have lies in his back pocket. When I see Chromatus combos and I'm already wide eyed. Sucks that it's really only useful for casual play where it's a "No more OVL for you brother" or Azure Edge spamlord ggez damage. May the beast that is CS not cause your future boss combos too much grief www
I sense a bit of animosity towards Gaius in this comment. It's almost like he did something to you personally. Take solace in the fact that he can't reflect your words, at least. 👀 Getting CS to work the way I want it to is equal parts rewarding and infuriating, lmao. The game really wants me to just go full cheese with Azure DP loops or an instant MA nuke, but I refuse. 😤 I appreciate the well wishes, especially since I'll need to rely on CS quite a bit more going forward. Let's hope the funny Power Ranger form can pull through against Victor, because that one is gonna be an experience...
Lore accurate Ludger, awesome combos!!!
This is an absurdly clean combo; amazing work! That Chromatus phase is unbelievable... can't believe you did a reset off of CS Power Swing.

Wow that combo reset after Chromatus was ended was awesome! Amazing fight!
I had that reset in my mind for the past month or so, so I'm glad it came out as perfectly as it did! Thanks for watching!

Its crazy man how can you do that O_O? awesome, when you will bring us the battle vs bisley Solo ?
