- David Muench is one of the first great colour landscape photographers. With a huge back catalogue of publications, he has influenced a generation of photographers and has created many of the places Americans now call icons. Tim Parkin and Joe Cornish go through the book “Nature’s America” discussing its influence on Joe and the assets of the photographic skills shown inside. We hope you enjoy it (apologies for the video quality - hopefully it’s good enough for the purpose.

Great video! I have followed the Muench's for many decades. I grew up in Arizona and David is one of the truly iconic "Arizona Highways" magazine photographers. Like you Joe, his work along with others became the inspiration for my love of landscape, nature and later nature photography. Nice to hear that he is one of your favorites as well. Thank you Tim and Joe!
Absolutely inspiring
I have this book, one of my top 10 favorite photobook and the definitive book by David Muench.
Muench is the ORIGINAL color landscape photographer who pioneered super wide landscape imagery. Almost all 4x5 color landscape photographers are heavily influenced by Muench.
Man, 480p resolution?
This was recorded in 2011, so technology has changed a lot in the past 12 years.
@@on_landscape Oh well, that makes sense
The petroglyph is NOT a double exposure. It is an extreme wide close up of a rock wall looking through a gap in the wall to distant mountains. C'mon guys, this isn't that difficult.
How many times have you used a large format camera a film? There are a few fundamental issues with capturing this in a single frame .. can you tell us what you think they are and explain how he might have overcome them?
