I taped this episode from KOA, Denver on its first air date. However, at about the 12 minute mark, KOA news highlights were broadcast over RMT, both at the same time, so for about 3 minutes it was hard to follow the story line. Glad to be able to replace that taping with the complete episode.
WOW!!!!! I was a soap fan back in the day, too, but NOT to that point. I remember, back during the General Hospital Ice Princess storyline (1981) I wanted to KILL *Victor Cassidine* for killing *O'Reilly* . Well, the ACTOR who PLAYED Victor didn't ACTUALLY kill BILLIE HAYES. So, after a time, I was able to watch the episodes on tape and then DVD and see them for what they were.... FICTIONAL stories.
When the girl started crying and Joe came over. I'm assuming the girl was a waitress and she's crying over Margo that was murdered in the soap opera. That's how this show radio show started But,, getting back to the girl and when she's yelling at Joe,which is the owner of the restaurant It was funny as hell cause Joe had no clue what she was talking about.
I love when the commercials are included. So cool to hear those as well!
She couldn’t tell the difference between a TV show and reality. It’s very common nowadays with people mistake reality TV for the real thing
Any episode with Sam Dann and Mandell Kramer is going to be awesome

KOA, Denver was where i was first introduced to radio shows as a child ;)
I was first Introduced to CBSRMT on KNX 1070 Los Angles
That's cool/crazy you still have the collection recorded lol
Interesting that at least 2 episodes of CBS Mystery Theater dealt with the world of tv soap operas and the blurring of reality
This situation with Irma makes me think of an episode on the Twilight Zone called The Private World of Arthur Harris.

We have a president like that!
You’re a moron
And now your president is a moron.
Sleepy Joe, where his logic, words and deeds defy all logic and reason.
