    • @HawaYusuff
      @HawaYusuff 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well add the percentage you want to profit. So if you want a 20 percent profit do 35 x 1.20. Keep in mind for employees add 20 percent to their hourly pay because you’ll be paying taxes on that and then add your profit . 35 dollars is a lot for employee so I’m guessing in america 1099 is a subcontractor then ignore that 20 percent add on since they must provide all their stuff and do their own taxes. Just add on the profit you want let’s say it’s a 28 percent profit you want 35 x1.28

    • @carolynarellano

    • @rm6684
      @rm6684 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Nah you're not charging $70 for commercial clients, if you charge that much you're not winning that many bids. Im in Cali and $50 per hour is too much. The corp. Companies charge $30 per hour out here. All though $50 is how much I want to charge, I dont think I'll get a lot of business. So if you're bidding a preschool that's spending 2k per month you're charging 4k per month

      I’m not quite sure where you do business but I live on the East Coast and service/ live in New York and New Jersey. Our going rate is $70 an hour per person for housecleaning. $80 per person for post construction cleaning. Other cleaning businesses around us charge $80-$100 per person per hour. My only overhead are the platforms that I used to run my business (phone system, web site, scheduling platform, crm , the marketing that I do , basic liability and my full-time VA.) we’ve also been in business. Going on six years and have an amazing set of technicians. If I wanted to, I could up my prices, however I’m comfortable where we’re at. Depending on where you are servicing in the country, your cost-of-living and your prices are going to differ. For some more context, minimum wage is $15 an hour and nobody is working for less than $20 .

    When your subcontractors hit the two year mark, what are you supposed to do because I heard you cannot have contractors working more than two years in your business

    • @carolynarellano
      @carolynarellano 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's important to review your local labor laws regarding contractor classification. In some jurisdictions, using contractors long-term can lead to legal issues or reclassification as employees. To stay compliant, consider these options:
      Transition to Employment: Convert long-term contractors to part-time or full-time employees.
      Review Contracts: Ensure contracts clearly define the nature of the work and maintain the contractor status.
      Consult a Legal Expert: Seek advice from a legal expert specializing in employment law for tailored guidance.
      Staying informed and proactive about these regulations can help protect your business.
