    Francisco Filho is the greatest karate fighter of all time kyokushinkai. The Brazil and all who love martial arts owe much to this sportsman who raised the level of karate throughout the world with his memorable fights ever and ever in history. THE BIGGEST BRAZILIAN FIGHTER OF ALL TIME MY VIEW. OSS

      +Celio Lima I can't say that he's the greatest Brazilian fighter off all time, but for sure he's one of the greatest. He makes me very proud to be Brazilian. OSS

    This is the classic method of training. The start is aimed at basics, then working combination's.

    The guy is a bloody legend, I saw him in Japan, he is definitely not fat, he is so big the suit he wore almost busted out, his legs are like elephant legs, dont fancy getting hit by this man...

    Those jumps at the end hurt like hell. Unless you're super trained of course, which I wasn't when I had to do them XD
    I would love to have such a good teacher as this. Especially on the combination drills, as you can tell he knows his shit. The one I trained with sucked terribly, but still I miss it (haven't trained in months, I don't have as much free time as I had before)

    It's voice of Max Dedik - he translated words of Fillio into Russian.
    He said - "Only you can want and do something for youself. If you don't wont - nobody, even your sempai can do it instead of you"

    What are 'lock-out movements' and when are they used in Kyokushin,how many people do you know that have become crippled through training in Kyokushinkai ? .

    @mohamedsamurai They're sharp. You must remember that a Shodan is the BEGINNING of actually learning Kyokushin ;).
    No doubt what Filho was showing was something they haven't been practicing.

    The weakness with Kyokushinkai is that it's traditional side is absolutely pathetic. I've trained in the style and I think it's a good style, the problem with it is that it uses traditional techniques that does not help the style that well. The lock-out movements are common in Kyokushin and those are the reason why people become crippled.

  • @whateva1983
    @whateva1983 16 ปีที่แล้ว

    yes? I've seen that many of this kicks are practiced at a hegiht you feel comfortable with to develop correct technique. Filho is indeed kind of overwight but he was (and I'm sure still is) an awesome fighter and he has never been slow WTF!

  • @iroscoe

    Also to degrade the art again are the kicking exercises over the arms. They are meant to be 'kicks', you're not kicking the persons chest, you're aiming for their head. Filho also looks fat and he's always seemed like a slow fighter.
