She is ok, definitely not a legend. She has a big body of work, she is above average but definitely not "that" good. She is current, that's basically it. Just listen to the cover of this song by Anuradha Paudwal and you can see that Anuradha sang it at least 100 times better than Shreya but even Anuradha Paudwal is not considered a legend. That is too big a word. Shreya Ghoshal is an above average Bollywood playback singer who uses her head voice too much and can't do much with her chest voice. But definitely not a legend in the Indian music industry.

This is a great performance from Shreya =D the original was sung by Lata Mangeshkar in 1962! it's really a classic song that many Indian artists will cover. One of my fav covers of this song is by Sanam ^^

Another international recommendation would be Cakra Khan of the Philippines with his covers of Tennessee Whisky or the orchestral version of Iris from the Goo Goo Dolls. I think you'd enjoy them fully.
