The vacuous nature of the Prosperity Gospel (believe hard enough and give the Church money and you'll receive health and wealth) is exposed quite readily in the story of Job, in the executions and exiles of the Apostles, of the sacrifices of the Martyrs, and the persecution of the early Church. Don't know how people fall for it. The core of the Gospel is that the one truly righteous and innocent man amongst us was nailed to a Cross and tortured to death.
Everyone is commenting about the false preacher but I'm gonna comment about the Poster! You said I left Religion. I hear this all the time, people say I once was a Christian! What I never hear anyone say is "I was once Born Again in Jesus and now I have deserted him!" Why, because it's not about religion but the Salvation Doctrine of Jesus and the Truth of the Bible! People who say they left were never Saved by Jesus, because once you are Saved (You may fall away and sin) but The Holy Spirit is always there to convict you and bring you back! Stop listening to anyone say "I was once a Christian or in Religion but left it" and Ask them, were you ever Born Again by the Blood of Jesus?
I can agree with that. Me personally I don’t participate in any religion anymore and I also don’t believe in God. But that is my own personal choice and I don’t judge anyone for participating in religion or believing in God. Belief in God did help me through some bad situations and it is helping other people too and I wouldn’t want to take that away from them.
