Have no words to express greatness of his work. He was one of the best in his field. He understood human feelings and shortcomings of society deeply. That's why his Writting are great.

The magnificent poet/lyricist, who not only revolutionized the Urdu poetry but also glorified composers like. Roshan, Khayyam, Ravi, NDutta, Jaidev etc;
Sahir Saheb is unparalleled in expressing the depth of all human emotions--without exception--to touch the very core of the heartstrings of any listener. Undeniably the sadness he experienced as a child and young man, and the depth of sorrow of unrequited love, is all reflected in his poetry with an intensity. Only other poet that so closely expressed human emotions as him was Shailendra. Sahir stands just a notch above him for greater pathos and cry of a broken heart only because we so closely relate his poetry to his personal losses and disappointments.
Both were revolutionary and belonged to the Progressive Writer's Movement. Both were together in IPTA with the likes of Balraj Sagni, Kaifi Azmi, Jaan Nisaar Akhtar, Khwaja Ahmed Abbas etc. each of whom penned the pain of suffering because of inequity, inequality, unfairness and injustice that prevails in the society. 🙏

एपिसोड बहुत उम्दा बन पड़ा है। कॉमेंट्री बहुत सटीक है, लफ्ज़ चुनिंदा और तलफ़्फ़ुज़ साफ़ है। बीच बीच मे फ़िल्मी नग़में देखने वाले को उठने ही नही देते । साहिर साहब की शख्सियत बहुत ऊंची थी, आपने उनकी सही तस्वीर दिखाई है। बहुत बहुत शुक्रिया। जिस दुनिया में आपके हुनर से लोग नोट बनाएं, वहां अपने दाम खुद तय क्यों न किये जायें। लोग आपकी शायरी की नकल कर फिल्मी गीत बनाते रहे, उससे अच्छा साहिर साहब ने खुद फिल्मों के लिए लिखना शुरू किया, विरोध हुआ लेकिन ये कदम सही था।

No Such A Poet Will Be Born in This World Or Bollywood Film Indusry Like SAHIR LUDHANVI. I have No Word to Say in His Praises it is Very Difficult to Describe About Sahir Ludhanvi Poetry in Words.Suraj Ko Chiragh Dekhane Ke Mutradif Hai. Allah Grant Him High Rank in Jannah Ameen.

Born in Ludhiana (Charhda Punjab) Sahir is a great poet famous globally amonst Indians, Pakistanis, Nepalis, Bangaldeshis and other nations.
A sort of magnetism in his poetry . Maine shaid tumhe pehle bhi kahin dekha hai, ajnabi see ho magar gair nahin lagti ho.... a song from Barsaat Ki Raat always lurks in my memories. Thanks for your narration on Sahir Ludhianvi ji. 😎😎

I was 7 when “ babul ki duwaey leti ja “ 1969 …was out to the world.. mesmerised by the words ( not understanding them ) still became a true fan of the words till now & will forever
