You make great points about wrist roll and raising your wrists. I've been using a lie of 6 for years now and had trouble with handling at speed. I do raise my wrists and roll my wrists a bit but have just picked up a lie of 4 twig to see if that helps me. Lie is important to a degree if you play lower to the ice a lower lie is supposed to help. I guess I'll see today if it does.

Aaron Brandon I tried a Lie 6 and hated it. I prefer my stick handling to be further in front of me and Lie 5 is much better. Pucks would go under the heel of my blade at 6 bc the angle was too strict.

@train 2.0 - Jason Yee Still curious to know where do you cut your stick? i just started playing hockey again after a huge injury 5 years ago (none hockey related) started just going to the rink with helmet, skates, stick to mess around see if i can ever player a game with my chronic pain! i used to be a very decent hockey player. bought a new stick with lower flex since i lost alot of with due to that injury, wich i cut the exact same size as i used to play, i know i haven't played in a while but my stick handling is fine my i seem to be fanning on the puck when i try to do a power wrister. even back then i did it a bit but not as much wondering if i did not cut my stick half a inch or an inch too short!

Guillaume Lemieux you can get a PLUG that fits into the top of your stick and it will lengthen your stick. You can then cut the plug to whatever length you prefer. Start with it long and see how far down the stick you prefer your top hand, then mark it with a Pen and cut it at home. You’re probably standing more upright when stick handling or shooting due to your injury or just being older. I do too

Very good video. Interesting. I still believe it's good to try for a shorter stick as it speeds up your game overall.

Crosby Crevice doesn't care about stick length. 😏

Not all true, sorry young man but different players use different stick lengths for a number of reasons.
