It's a shame that Silicon Knights shut down after making Too Human. I loved Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain, Eternal Darkness and Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes.
They made X-men Destiny a few years after Too Human. If you have an Xbox one or series system, too human has been free and backwards compatible for years now.
Doki Doki Literature Club really impressed me with how great it was and I got very invested in the characters, strangely enough. As for a bad game that I enjoyed, I think I have to go with Tomb Raider VI: Angel of Darkness. That game is an unfinished mess and the controls feel horrendous, yet I still had fun playing it.

The entire world feels coherent and it really did manage to feel like its own thing and not just a rehash of the first game. Also, Lara's outfit might be my favourite in the entire series. Then there was the sprinting, which I really enjoyed and some of the levels were great (although hampered by terrible controls, of course).
Glad to hear that there is potential in Too Human. I bought it years ago because Eternal Darkness is also my favorite GC game, but haven't really given it a proper shot yet. I used to play Incredible Machine with my brother all the time on 3DO. I still have it, but it's been years since I played it. The same folks made Nazo Makaimura on PS1 and Saturn, which is basically Incredible Machine in the Ghosts n Goblins universe. It's also fun. There are also the Mechanic Master games on DS that mimic it very closely. I have too many games I really like that are awful to just list them, but it's a fun topic to hear your thoughts on and explore. Have a great day!
The best worst game ever is Homefront the revolution! It has a fun open world first person shooter kinda like Farcry but worse, but is also has ALL OF TimeSplitters 2 hidden inside an arcade machine!!
I probably definitely watched till the end 😂 For me Dark Void for the 360 was also a good amount of fun despite all the hate for it. It was a bit cluncy, but still a fun cover shooter with jetpack passages and a weird story.

Drakengard 3 for me. The gameplay is repetitive and janky. The graphics leave a lot to be desired. The side missions are an absolute pain. Most of the characters range from annoying to unbearable. The dialogue is laughably bad. The humor can only be enjoyed when viewed through the lens of anti-comedy. The plot is incredibly clichéd. Somehow, even though every single aspect of this game is deeply flawed (except for the music, that is excellent as always is the case with Yoko Taro games), it's one of the most impactful games I've played. The game completely falls apart on itself, and that's intentional. There's this surreal quality to the entire experience, culminating with a final boss that's quite literally a joke at the player's expense, meant to be unwinnable. However, beneath the seemingly self-aware schlock that sets the tone for the entire game, there's this undercurrent of deep emotional sincerity. Nothing is meant to be taken seriously, and yet it is. The worldbuilding and underlying story are harrowing enough to have been played dramatically to great effect, but because it's presented in such an unserious and over-the-top manner, they hit all the harder when you actually "get" it. It's like there's a game beneath this game, one which you only play indirectly. It's a game that plays with the medium of video games itself. It's unironically a great example of video games as art.
I also love Drakengard 3, and have actually covered it on the channel before. It's in one of the Hardest Games I've Ever Played, or Hardest Bosses video. I talk all about that final boss. I'm glad to know that I'm not the only person who loves that game 😁
Dual Blades on the GBA is fun one. It's.. basically a very cheap knockoff of Samurai Shodown and the graphics / animation look like a flash game from Newgrounds. But somehow, I like it. :P
Metalwolf Chaos will be in a future vid for me, I started Prey but never finished it. Just started Too Human but also at some point need to finish it, I get easily distracted by other games lol. Fun vid sir!
Akiba's Trip 1 + 2: Undead & Undressed. The first one was okay but the sequel is my favorite. Nothing like a strip vampires of their clothing till they're dead game. My neighbors always roll their eyes at me when I pull this this game out and play for hours. Although I just got it and about to play it soon, more than a few people I know loved Police Simulator. It's main focus seems to be doing mundane police work like writing tickets and maybe drug arrest here and there. It's not much graphically and NPCs move around like lifeless mannequins but there still seems to be fun nonetheless

It also helps when you're a huge monster movie fan like me! 😊 Great video! Out of all the games you mentioned, I only played Too Human. It was pretty cool but I think somewhere I kinda just lost interest and shelved from then on. It's definitely better than people gave it credit for.
I noticed the terrible games you mention in these are all modern games. Never once you put any retro games in here. I've never heard of these games you showed today. That's what's wrong with Modern gaming. These games you showed look like a chore, not fun & a lot of 20-100 hours of gameplay. I'll stick with my Golden Axe.
I bought the original Prey on pc shortly after release bc it used the Doom 3 engine. Had a lot of fun with it, especially piloting the small ship on that one stage late in the game. Memory is vague but still have it somewhere around here.
Onechanbara z2 chaos on ps4. Just finished it this weekend. Its not a good game but once I got into it, I needed to keep playing. Loved the hack and slash play style. 😂
Prey wasn't a xbox exclusive. It was released on steam, then taken down/delisted. You need to have an activation key through a reseller now, but it still exists on steam if you can get one of them. ( I own it ) Also, Non-Euclidean geometry is a HUGE word, the shortest base of it is being able to a point to point shape that does not map out on a 3d/2d surface representation, and be able to traverse that line without changing the plane you are on (like if technically you could dig on the inner side of a sphere would be changing the plane of travel) and being able to distort 3D space with Non-3D travel (the same with distorting 2D space with 3D+ travel) It gets real funky, Euclidean/Non-Euclidean are technically a 3D space thing, and can be short of simply when the level of Space you are in (2d/3d/etc) is being accessed with extera levels of space than you have, leading to 'impossible shapes', and travel/space that just does not abide by our current space that we have. It is possible to state properly how mind bendy it is, and where hackey (stuff like 2.5D, used in our games) and real external dimension interact with ours differ and tell the real difference of. We can see the 2D space hackery of 3d, and what real 3d is.. because we are 3D... but we couldn't do the same for 4d+, and 3d hackery. It's a really weird shape that genuinely makes shapes and the universe many fold more complex.
To be honest I am terrible at Ratchet and Clank on the PS4 and PS5 I never was able to beat this game in the hardest difficulty I made pretty good progress I died allot after the defeating the first boss fight
I beat Mike Tyson in Mike Tyson’s punch out it took me so long to be the winner I first played it when I was 9 years old and for now I played it again this time around 19 years old in June 12th afternoon I was playing it on my iPad pro with a PS5 controller aka DualSense controller
Just play it on the original Nes or Clone system like a Nes with a Nes Controller or something similar clone one & most importantly play that on a CRT tv. You'll find the game way easier.
Never liked visual novels tried a few and they just did not grip me. However I did take a chance many years later and tried one and really enjoyed it (Steins Gate pretty well known in the genre but at the time I had never heard of it). Its still not a genre I go that deeply into but the few I have enjoyed I have enjoyed a lot. I usually just stick to books (easier portability, and access to absolute masterpieces from the ages for very cheap) but I dont shy away from the genre anymore. Will have to give doki doki a look sometime. Nightmare Creatures or rather the first level in Nightmare Creatures was one I kept coming back to as a child. Terrible game with really no redeemable qualities, bad level design, forgettable music, poor graphics, poor controls, Instant death sections that could only be avoided with advanced knowledge etc but for some reason that first level really hooked me in and I had a blast just replaying it over and over again. Then again its less terrible game thats great than terrible game I obsessed over the first level for some reason. Only just started it (about 10 hours in) But I think Shadow Madness might belong on a list like this.

@@RNGGamerYT Yeah I heard the hype after I played so was lucky to go in without that colouring my perception (I literally knew nothing about it going in) and was also lucky enough to go through it before the anime and elite version and 0 came out. I did personally love the story but greatest game ever well no lol its not even a game its just a piece of digital entertainment (like most VNs). Ill have to give Doki Doki a go. I think I might have it on switch already.
Well while we're sharing dirty secrets; Duke Nukem Forever is a better game than people give it credit for, it's a good solid shooter with a lot of variety in level design.

That’s so random you mentioned TIM. I was telling my wife about that game just a couple days ago and how my little brother (11 at the time) figured out every single level and did so very quickly. I remember it blew my mind because I certainly hit a brick wall at the higher levels.

I usually don't like Simcity like games but Transport Tycoon caught me as a teenager. Especially because you could cheat by building a massively large tunnel, that an integer overflow for the costs resulted in several millions income 😂

So glad you covered Papers Please. If people judged that game without playing it, it would absolutely be atrocious in their mind. But it is such a great game and you feel really compelled to do the job well and keep your family alive. On the other hand, metal wolf chaos. Scott assumed he was going to love and only thought it was mediocre at best. I feel like RPGs have ruined him and every game has to have an amazing story and that one was a little bit crazy.... I mean it sounded crazy in a good way to me but I didn't play it. I have felt the same way about Doki Doki literature club and I'm wondering...... Do I need to just play it now?
Play Doki Doki! You're doing yourself a disservice by not playing it. I feel similar to Scott, but instead, I feel like RPGs are losing me. The stories and characters are all the same... and it's rare I can get into them now.

I bought a lot of bargain bin terrible games when was younger instead of buying something critically acclaimed. Because it was what I could afford. I don't regret it, you deal with the jank and maybe you'll find a crazy unique experience.

Thank you for mentioning the OG Prey! I had a blast playing it back in the heyday of the Xbox360. I loved the storyline of being Native American and beaming up into an alien ship to fight your way to find and save your girlfriend. I was confused when a new "Prey" released but had absolutely nothing to do with the original. A lost game that nobody talks about.
I loved Prey, I played it a few years ago and Ioved the gravity defying levels...so innovative and fun! Paper's Please...I thought I could play that game, but I kept starving my family to death...it was really hard to keep the money coming in. :P
RIP Too Human, never got the sequels, it was supposed to be a trilogy I think lol. I played the hell out of it, though. I bought it full price, I was hyped for it ever since the demo back in the day. I got all the legendary (?) armor sets for the classes, farming the same things over and over... Nice to see it mentioned, no one ever does.
Prey was an under rated game for it's time. I always related it to Quake 4 as a shooter that is story driven and has all the first person shooter tropes for it's time. The game I like that is almost universally hated is Snake's Revenge on the NES. You can absolutely tell that it wasn't made by the same people at Konami. I got through the janky parts and had a good time with it.
I loved the original Prey. I had it on PC, but only just hit the minimum specs, which meant I could probably only play the first couple of hours before my PC was like "nope" and the game crashed. It was such a fun time up until that point though!
Lords if the Fallen for me. I wasn't a Souls person and when I heard the gameplay was terrible. And after playing games like Code Vein, Immortal Unchained, and Asterigos that I started appreciating LotF.
I loved The Incredible Machine. We used to play it all the time at school. Then my parents bought an old computer from their friend and it had it on it, could play it whenever I wanted.
One that immediately springs to mind was ninety nine nights. It was so mindless and there was no real challenge but I played it so much, especially the level with the river battle. It just called to me.

The original Prey was a true successor to Half-Life, honestly I prefer it because the level design is unlike anything else.

Just found Prey at a used game store, after seeing Civvie’s video on it, I bought it at a glance.
It's really a lot better than everyone made it out to be
But freaking RNG Gamer Too Human was my first 360 game and I freaking loves it!

Prey wasn't a xbox exclusive. It was released on steam, then taken down/delisted. You need to have an activation key through a reseller now, but it still exists on steam if you can get one of them. ( I own it )
Also, Non-Euclidean geometry is a HUGE word, the shortest base of it is being able to a point to point shape that does not map out on a 3d/2d surface representation, and be able to traverse that line without changing the plane you are on (like if technically you could dig on the inner side of a sphere would be changing the plane of travel) and being able to distort 3D space with Non-3D travel (the same with distorting 2D space with 3D+ travel)
It gets real funky, Euclidean/Non-Euclidean are technically a 3D space thing, and can be short of simply when the level of Space you are in (2d/3d/etc) is being accessed with extera levels of space than you have, leading to 'impossible shapes', and travel/space that just does not abide by our current space that we have. It is possible to state properly how mind bendy it is, and where hackey (stuff like 2.5D, used in our games) and real external dimension interact with ours differ and tell the real difference of.
We can see the 2D space hackery of 3d, and what real 3d is.. because we are 3D... but we couldn't do the same for 4d+, and 3d hackery. It's a really weird shape that genuinely makes shapes and the universe many fold more complex.

To be honest I am terrible at Ratchet and Clank on the PS4 and PS5 I never was able to beat this game in the hardest difficulty I made pretty good progress I died allot after the defeating the first boss fight
I've only played a little ratchet and clank. It's a series I've been on the fence about for a long time
@@RNGGamerYT Ratchet & Clank is an ok game. It's not a game I would recommend. However it does feel different than most open World 3D scrollers.
I beat Mike Tyson in Mike Tyson’s punch out it took me so long to be the winner I first played it when I was 9 years old and for now I played it again this time around 19 years old in June 12th afternoon I was playing it on my iPad pro with a PS5 controller aka DualSense controller

Just play it on the original Nes or Clone system like a Nes with a Nes Controller or something similar clone one & most importantly play that on a CRT tv. You'll find the game way easier.

The Incredible Machine was the GOAT
It's a classic for a reason! It still really holds up despite the way it looks these days =)
Never liked visual novels tried a few and they just did not grip me. However I did take a chance many years later and tried one and really enjoyed it (Steins Gate pretty well known in the genre but at the time I had never heard of it). Its still not a genre I go that deeply into but the few I have enjoyed I have enjoyed a lot. I usually just stick to books (easier portability, and access to absolute masterpieces from the ages for very cheap) but I dont shy away from the genre anymore. Will have to give doki doki a look sometime.
Nightmare Creatures or rather the first level in Nightmare Creatures was one I kept coming back to as a child. Terrible game with really no redeemable qualities, bad level design, forgettable music, poor graphics, poor controls, Instant death sections that could only be avoided with advanced knowledge etc but for some reason that first level really hooked me in and I had a blast just replaying it over and over again. Then again its less terrible game thats great than terrible game I obsessed over the first level for some reason.
Only just started it (about 10 hours in) But I think Shadow Madness might belong on a list like this.
I played Steins Gate last year. It was fine... but like usual, everyone made it out to be the greatest game ever. Doki doki is infinitely batter.

@@RNGGamerYT Yeah I heard the hype after I played so was lucky to go in without that colouring my perception (I literally knew nothing about it going in) and was also lucky enough to go through it before the anime and elite version and 0 came out. I did personally love the story but greatest game ever well no lol its not even a game its just a piece of digital entertainment (like most VNs).
Ill have to give Doki Doki a go. I think I might have it on switch already.

Prey on the PS4 is one that didn't do it for me and I quit after a couple of hours. I've been wanting to get back into it
@RNGGamerYT so I will admit it is slow in the first few hours, but if you can just bust through that, man the game really expands and opens up and it is a truly unique and fun experience

@@RNGGamerYT Yes that's correct. Trust me he didn't beat that in 1 sitting on his Ipad through emulation lol. When I played it on emulation via the Nes mini (whatever that's called) or the Retron 5, I had to save state a lot & it was still very hard to beat it with save states.

That’s so random you mentioned TIM. I was telling my wife about that game just a couple days ago and how my little brother (11 at the time) figured out every single level and did so very quickly. I remember it blew my mind because I certainly hit a brick wall at the higher levels.

@@RNGGamerYTI played TIM on PC back in the day and got pretty far, but nowhere near the end. I haven't thought about it in a while. I usually don't like Simcity like games but Transport Tycoon caught me as a teenager. Especially because you could cheat by building a massively large tunnel, that an integer overflow for the costs resulted in several millions income 😂

So glad you covered Papers Please. If people judged that game without playing it, it would absolutely be atrocious in their mind. But it is such a great game and you feel really compelled to do the job well and keep your family alive.
On the other hand, metal wolf chaos. Scott assumed he was going to love and only thought it was mediocre at best. I feel like RPGs have ruined him and every game has to have an amazing story and that one was a little bit crazy.... I mean it sounded crazy in a good way to me but I didn't play it.

Thank you for mentioning the OG Prey! I had a blast playing it back in the heyday of the Xbox360. I loved the storyline of being Native American and beaming up into an alien ship to fight your way to find and save your girlfriend. I was confused when a new "Prey" released but had absolutely nothing to do with the original. A lost game that nobody talks about.

I loved Prey, I played it a few years ago and Ioved the gravity defying levels...so innovative and fun! Paper's Please...I thought I could play that game, but I kept starving my family to death...it was really hard to keep the money coming in. :P

RIP Too Human, never got the sequels, it was supposed to be a trilogy I think lol. I played the hell out of it, though. I bought it full price, I was hyped for it ever since the demo back in the day. I got all the legendary (?) armor sets for the classes, farming the same things over and over... Nice to see it mentioned, no one ever does.

Prey was an under rated game for it's time. I always related it to Quake 4 as a shooter that is story driven and has all the first person shooter tropes for it's time. The game I like that is almost universally hated is Snake's Revenge on the NES. You can absolutely tell that it wasn't made by the same people at Konami. I got through the janky parts and had a good time with it.
I haven't played Quake 4 or Snake's Revenge. But I want to try out both of them 😄
I loved the original Prey. I had it on PC, but only just hit the minimum specs, which meant I could probably only play the first couple of hours before my PC was like "nope" and the game crashed. It was such a fun time up until that point though!
You should give it another shot! It gets really bizarre the further in you get.
Lords if the Fallen for me. I wasn't a Souls person and when I heard the gameplay was terrible. And after playing games like Code Vein, Immortal Unchained, and Asterigos that I started appreciating LotF.
I couldn't get into the first one either. Although I had played several souls games by they point, it just never stuck with me 😅

I loved The Incredible Machine. We used to play it all the time at school. Then my parents bought an old computer from their friend and it had it on it, could play it whenever I wanted.
I first played it on the computer as well!
One that immediately springs to mind was ninety nine nights. It was so mindless and there was no real challenge but I played it so much, especially the level with the river battle. It just called to me.
That was the first Xbox 360 game I played! Worthy of making the video for sure!
