Prodigy were one of those bands that were featured in Kerrang mag and people were happy about that (I was at least) and then also did creamfields and everyone was happy about that. They were just amazing on every level. Spoken as someone who has been to both creamfields and download so my taste is varied..

My absolute favourite Prodigy song of all time, they made some of the best banging tunes ever. Use to listen to these while in the gym, driving my car, at work or best of all in the nightclub in the 90s. Liam Howlett does not get the credit he deserves & was devastated when Keith Flint left this world way too soon & when you saw them live it was a hell of a hot & sweaty gig but a fucking awesome experience.

The Prodge pioneered something genuinely new, which crossed over with metal fans, among others, and influenced the Matrix soundtrack. Like Public Enemy, they took the existing form of a genre, in this case acid house not hip-hop, and pushed it into a heavier and heavier form, with more grit and distortion, until it was something metallists could relate to. This was at an earlier stage in that innovation, before the developed form on Fat of The Land. All their albums kill, honestly, including the more recent ones that casual fans might not have noticed.

Have a go on Future Sound of London - Papua New Guinea, original mix either 7" or 12" (obvs 12" is better because it's a bigger number).

That cover (the cat) is for the song Charly. If you were 50ish and from the U.K you would understand from the sample in the song.

The rest of the world need hear them. I promise you , you won't be disappointed. Original music. Great channel by the way 👏 👍
