I never really played this game, but something about a game such as this discontinuing takes a chunk out of life. The genre is weakening. We need more developers. Appreciation at my best...

I am so angry right now man. i leave the server and not a week later the game is continued? this game had SO much potential. great models, anims and sounds. great art style and some what fun gameplay. so many playables I wanted to play as from the beta roster. I am so angry chicken decided to disconinue it instead of having someone else take the lead.
it is super sad they wasted so much potential but its bc it couldnt be funded plus devs got didnt want to work on it anymore. also seems like chicken rather the game die under ug than give it away.
he didn't just leave it to leave it he discontinued it because they simply cant afford it financially. even if he let another lead it they would probably have the same issue. pretty much every update they were losing more and more money although they were good updates

He dug up his own grave,dinosaur sim hallow and dinosaur sim finale were just continuing his legacy,and he has to ruin it like this,deleting the only 2 games that still received updates and discontinuing his own games,now we have nothing left,and he has no money,this is why I don’t like chicken,just ruined everything for everyone

That's just sad man.. this game was so freshly new and had so much potential.
Man...The game that kept me around on the site is now discontinued... Honestly, with how slow the updates gotten this year, we should've saw it coming. It still sucks to see it all go to waste though... I remember getting this game around the 2021 Halloween event and had so much fun grinding and getting all the dinos and event skins. And then they did their first ee shortly after that! Such fun memories of waking up at 4 in the morning to get all of the new creatures they added on those mini maps, ahhh...the memories... Sad to see this happen..but with how big of a project this game was, combined with roblox's greediness taking alot of their devs money away. I understand the reason, a game like this needs alot of financial backing and with roblox's current state and updates costing them more n more money. This just seemed like an inevitable outcome. Even if they gave it to someone else, the samething would happen. A game like this just costs too much money to be on sites like Roblox. That's why Prior extinction plans to move to some other platform in the near future. Because they're struggling as well.
Alas, thank you UG and ChickenEngineer for making one of the best dinosaur survival games on the site! I will forever cherish the memories this game gave me and many others, and I wish you luck on your future endeavors. See you next time.
Indeed. The way the animations and models just kept getting better and better for new playables, it makes sense why it costs so much money to make them. DA will always be a ROBLOX Dinosaur game I was most hype for!

DS got discontinued, AOK too, and now DA... hope they fix the financial issue they talked about, though.
AoK will not be discontinued until AoK 2 comes out,there will be a final update to AoK which is another April Fools Kaiju. Let’s hope AoK 2 won’t be discontinued

This is gonna be a hard step for all of us, But i’d gladly like to say dinosaur arcade is still in our hearts.
Bummed that the game shut down, but this doesn't really change a lot for me.
Just wished they fixed the dumb bug where dying in the headlessaurus fight prevents you from doing quests until you die (my brachiosaurus has 320 days)
I was just having fun yesterday.. R.I.P DA, Though i wish there were some devs that can atleast recreate the game
I mean they did say they were going to work on a remake of dinosaur arcade, let’s hope they might try something to help DA, the true leader of the dinosaur Roblox games

I mainly got into playing da around 2022(maybe around the summer i don’t remember) I played the events like Halloween and Christmas, and played it with my sister sometimes. It hurts to see the game getting discontinued. Thank you dinosaur arcade for the memories you made me on Roblox.

Not to be insensitive or anything towards the developers, but I see that they could have a way to reward players for discontinuing the game, like leave some EE creatures obtainable through normal fossils

Honestly, it's crazy every game they have made has been discontinued in some way. The longest running being Dinosaur Simulator and AoK. It's sad to see the struggle UG faces, as they will always be my favorite ROBLOX development team.
It's very sad how this game will close, it was fun... for awhile.. yeah the games biggest problem was the gameplayloop, it didin't really give you a reason to come back except for the events i get its sad thats its ending but DA was not making enough money for UG.
Rip best dinosaur game on roblox. Only if chicken started focusing on adding robux cosmetics and gamepasses, better map, instead of ee, it 100% would've been different story... Chickens skill issue killed this game. If you don't know what your doing then sell game to other devs, its still will be better than just throwing it in trashcan
other devs will run into the same issue or even turn the game into garbage simualter that is worse than the original

Due to the spotlight currently being on AoK (AoK 2 is their next project), I'll probably give that game some love. I am making the "Prehistoric Profile" equivalent for AoK which is called "Kaiju Analysis".

Indeed, AG is the worst studio I have ever seen, I understand that there are complications with a project as good as DA, but if they cancel successful projects where people like it and focus on projects that only 40 players play daily, it is one of the worst. Worst decisions ever made. , we will never forget you DA!

Should’ve just stayed with dinosaur simulator, it was so much more successful and had such a big fan base.
At least 80% of Dinosaur Simulator's player base were traders. You gotta think that's why Dinosaur Simulator was successful, because trading can be addicting. In terms of gameplay, Dinosaur Simulator was very lacking. Dinosaur Arcade was far more entertaining.
@@SpaceGodzillaSpaceZilla yet, that's what game developers strive for. The discord server for unhatched games said that dinosaur arcade wasn't making enough revenue. Compared to dinosaur simulator and Dinosaur arcade, da had a concurrent number of players, around 100-200, could've even gone down to 20, but ds had 2k, and for a while, it still had that number of players after da was made. They needed to make revenue, its why people make games. If they had just... stuck with ds, they would be making so much more money and still be updating the game. Da was just such a big & major flop, and that's coming from somebody who played it in the first 3 minutes of it's release. Me.
@@Cyan2Light we was good though. It had better animation, events, etc. I think the reason ds was still bigger is because it was nostalgia. Because be honest grinding in ds is trash. The gameplay is the same. Just fighting.

Unpopular opinion here. Dinosaur Simulator was the best. I tried dinosaur arcade, but it wasn't very fun to me and a bit complicated.

And for some reason they quited improving Dino sim, i'm always confused why? They left 400 players for an game that don't even reach 200+ on an Daily base
@@Bread583 because dino SIM was old and had old mechanics, and too old to properly update and develop in the modern day. So they made da as like an improved dino sim. But for some reason few people appreciated the improved animations and events. I guess they wanted to keep the sliding across the groundwak animations of ds. I still love ds though, but it's way more boring. Grinding is so easy in da. In ds you sit around waiting for dna
@@Mothobius Completely agree with you. DA's models had some of the best animations of any game I have played on ROBLOX! Let's not forgot abilities which actually made playables unique.

It was bound to die, each update the game was getting worse and worse, the lag was unbearable and they didn't pump out updates after MONTHS of "development"
