Seeing this live in ‘95… boy, that final throw/interception by Brook was devastating to witness. He had played so well up until that moment. But we all know the happy ending made the tension worth it. When Tommy resurfaced in the fourth quarter, it was like watching a fifth quarter. Crazy fun! Still the most satisfying NU victory in thirty years, including last night’s victory over Sanders’ CU.

That fullback trap play is a thing of beauty when run correctly

So it did actually happen? I’m not imagining it. That’s a relief.

I'm a Warren Sapp fan because nobody can deny that he is among the best to play his position of all time. That being said.....the Huskers made him look like a.7th grader.

Those '90s Nebraska teams were tough! 🏈

Nebraska's great advantage in this game was conditioning, and it continued to be their strength for years. Their defense was disciplined, fast and understood how to tackle. If you have the raw material, conditioning, development--fundamentals-- can turn it into a great team.

Sapp and Lewis and the whole Miami bench were talking trash the first half. Second half Huskers emptied the trash and cleaned out the garbage. Miami looked weak and ridiculous.

I always love seeing Sapp sucking wind in the fourth quarter after listening to the commentators praise him for the first 45 minutes of the game.

The "Black Shirt Defense" (Speed Kills and Strength Punishes) and that massive O line were way too much for Miami!

      His last 3 bowls.

Agree completely Michael M. Nebraska was WAY too much for weakling canes.

And just think, this wasn't even their final form. 🙂

Nebraska's strength and conditioning program was fundamental to their monumental success in the 90's.

I really like watching these arrogant Florida teams being humbled

Only thing I don't like about Pavelka's play calling is when he starts using the "ah" sound when he gets excited. He calls Schlesinger "Schlesin-jah," Frazier "Fraze-yah" and calls the team the "Cornhuskahs." Not quite sure why he did that but it has always bothered me.

He was the worst announcer we’ve ever had, followed closely by Davidson

I grew up with Husker football. Saturday afternoon, my parents would have the game on the television with the sound turned off and the radio tuned into the game. They did this for years until Pavelka took over. After that, they never listened to a broadcast of the games on the radio again.

@@modernenglishman7802 but why? I could understand if they turned it down when he was doing the call

If Costa wasn't such a crybaby he might of been a NFL prospect. NFL isn't looking for drama queens. But then again his long ball is like a jump ball every time, so maybe not.
