i have same rig with an i7 7700, i installed windows 11 just fine, i disabled csm also, works well as a light gaming rig with a low profile rx6400, 32gb ram, 512gb samsung nvme
@@beckysgotback1574 i literally did nothing, just used the Microsoft windows 11 usb creation tool, but rufus can be used to bypass the processor and tpm module
Installing Windows can either be the easiest thing to do or just ruin your day. I eventually had to buy a new motherboard for my pc after I bricked it tweaking the BIOS to make it play well with Win11 😢
A couple things. Did you try flipping the settings in the BIOS from whatever it is (either UEFI or SATA) to the opposite? Another thing you can try is updating the BIOS to the latest. I had this issue with the first Optiplex 790s.

Sweet setup
How did you get around the MS requirement. i7-7700 processor is not compatible for Windows 11, according to Microsoft.

How was the GPU cooling?
@@antoniopessoa6244 i have a rx6400 in mine, the swift version that i have has a garbage cooler, i heard the sapphire version is much better
Install W10 then W11 with Rufus+ISO+Flash Drive. Installed om 2nd,4th,6th 9th gen Intel CPUs.
How did you get around the CPU restriction on this 3420?

I didn't think that bricking a mobo was possible with an OS. I've seen it with bad BIOS updates but never an OS doing it
@@MikeDancy It was definitely just me fiddling with bios settings I shouldn’t have to get TPM working, not directly the OS’ fault.
You are amazing, sir!
They call me Mr. Amazing around here. :)
Do you replace BIOS battery, these DELL desktops do odd things when BIOS battery is dead.

yup. i'm just an idiot sometimes too
Windows 11 IOT LTSC have disabled all restrictions by default.
Do you know if the HDMI output supports 4k resolution?
Yes, but only at 30fps/hz.
windows 11 support only 8 th gen CPU and above, but I think you knew this !
then why is my Lenovo T460s (i7-6600) running Windows 11? It's the TPM module more than the processor that dicates Windows 11
@@MikeDancy i use ruffus to skip tpm and works in 4gen 6gen and 7gen in my case
You can easily bypass that
at least you're not cussing like a mechanic for every little thing that computers like to just decide won't work 😞
I wasn’t? I thought I was.
boot using uefi....
Now someone says something :) where was this valuable input a couple of years ago :)
