He basically wasted all of his time on Namek, while and he and his men got fucked up by the Z fighters for no reason. On that note, there was nothing really stopping the Nameks from gathering all the dragonballs for Frieza, and then wish him something bad on him.

A few others: Calling in the Ginyu Force, since even though it made sense for him to do that, that just lead to Goku getting a Zenkai from Captain Ginyu, thus raising Goku to a point where SSJ1 could beat Frieza. If he had dealt with the problem himself from the beginning, he would have won. Goku's power level was 60,000, meaning even if he somehow managed to turn into a SSJ3 (x800 base, power level of 48 Million), he would have still lost to frieza. Not bringing King Cold with him to Namek, if he had done that, then he and his father would have had no problem defeating SSJ1 Goku and he also would have been able to get more done. He also wouldn't have needed to call the Ginyu force either, thus Goku wouldn't have gotten a Zenkai from that and the Ginyus would still be around after the event for other assignments. Holding back when throwing the blast that destroyed Namek. If he had gone full in to that attack, Goku would have died for sure and he would have escaped Namek. Using the energy Goku gave him to attack Goku with. That didn't work out at all XD Throwing the Death Discs in the first place. It was his own attack that cut him down after all. And of course, in my opinion his greatest mistake, killing Krillin right in front of Goku. Of all the things he did on Namek, he shouldn't have done that XD
SSJ3 is 400 times the base. So it's even less. And I'm not sure but Goku's power level before fightning Ginyu should have been 90.000. So in SSJ3 he would have been a 36 millions power-leveled saiyan.

No one mentions that goku fought beerus in space in normal super saiyan form and vegeta spent a whole episode planet hopping looking for goku on planets with no atmosphere and bardock was in space fighting frieza's men, so I think saiyans can breathe in space.

Beerus having plot power is so true. Beerus' power is pretty much infinite lmfao, at first he was 30% stronger than SSG Goku, but then Goku got thousands of times stronger and Toei just made Beerus more powerful because they wanted to.
Frieza killing Krillin and injuring Piccolo when he came back from the spirit bomb was a huge mistake as well. He had an opportunity to kill Goku (as Goku was tired and no-less weakened after launching the spirit bomb), I still question why Frieza decided to attack his friends first. I would've seized the opportunity to kill the greatest threat and deal with the weaklings after he was disposed of.
I like how Dragonball Xenoverse did their take on Freeza going straight to his final form in his fight on Namek and our character had to help buy time for Goku to heal, this is including the alternate video that was shown if the Time Patroller hadn't been involved to help out.
Goku v Berrus- in space. Bardock literally is near frieza's spaceship, and is not in planet Vegeta's atmosphere at all. Vegeta leaves his spaceship to destroy a small planet before coming to earth. Broly survives as a baby in space with his dad.-noncanon though. I can go on forever.

Silicon I used to think that Frieza could one day pass Beerus too. I don't remember what Toriyama interview it was from, but in it Toriyama states that Frieza can never surpass Beerus. Golden Frieza is the highest power level he can get -- that is his potential. Training anymore would just allow him to remain in the Golden form longer.
Much as I hate to say it, yeah. Frieza has more potential than anyone else in the series. He went from the power level of an unmastered SSJ1 to being stronger than SSJB in four months. FOUR. MONTHS. Which took Goku and Vegeta.. what, 10-15 years? And that was with him training by himself, or with someone weaker than himself depending if you follow the show or movie(not sure what the manga said.) Training with someone at his level(like if he'd waited, and wished back his father) or even stronger than him may have made his training even more effective. If, hypothetically, he trained with Whis for a year, I'd bet he could give Beerus a run for his money. Assuming that, like the sayains, there's no roof on the power level he can achieve through transformation, he could become an unstoppable force if he just put in the effort for awhile and learned to be patient. Except for Zeno, of course, who could erase him from existence because he feels like it. We'll probably never know if the rest of his race or family share this potential. As far as I know, Frieza is the only one we have solid evidence of gaining such power from training. He was called a prodigy though, so I'd assume not.

Actually it’s the other way around. Frieza messed up by wiping the Saiyans out before they were even a threat to him. Most Saiyans at this time were either Low Level, Low Level Elites, Mid Level or Mid Level Elites. There was no Elite Saiyans yet. Frieza should have waited another ten years.
I can think of two more that Frieza Messed up. After Zarbon defeated Vegeta during their 1st encounter in Namek. Why put him in the tank and restore him back to health knowing that he will betray him at that moment getting those Dragon Balls?? Frieza should be focusing on Goku after he survived his spirit bomb, but he took out Krillin instead and that's how he made Goku a Super Saiyan a form that he would never wanted to face.
I think I have one. How about his decision not to kill Dende when they crossed paths close to the Grand Elder's place. Time spent training might have appeared to him to be more rationally spent doing other things, like collecting planets and learning about where dragon balls are, just as imperfect cell spent his time absorbing people and looking for androids rather than training.
Jody Cameron buu was the same thing, because he ate people, was super strong thanks to absorbing gohan, and then he decides to attack goku and vegeta without training

Let's be honest though.. Sure he was an alien.. probably maybe .. capable mentally of waaay much more as far as processing, as a human. But if he never trained a day in his life when he fought Goku, even before Super Saiyan. I'd say Frieza not having training, and literally having 0 combat experience other than blowing people up, and then never having to fight so hard he has ever had to transform.. I just don't think his fighting would have been so dominant. The big reason I say this, is because he never has a moment where Goku's hits have the same effect as Janeba's on Gogeta. If he had just killed him first, THEN killed the others, he never would've gone super saiyan, and so on. I mean technically if Goku's pod was close enough to Earth such that he could see/know what Freeza was doing, if Freeza did attempt to blow Earth up from space Goku could whip out his newly acquired shunkan ido and stop him from firing the blast.
My personal #1 is killing Krillin and causing Goku's transformation into a Super Saiyan. If he just shot at Goku again after shooting down Piccolo he wouldn't have had this problem. Instead he toyed with Goku by turning Krillin into a living firework. That said if Goku was the one who died. Gohan may have awakened his true power as a Super Saiyan much much earlier. But would Gohan have what it takes to defeat Frieza? Probably since his hidden potential comes out in full force in response to his emotional state.
Resurrection F was an abomination. Freeza DID train and practice his powers as he displayed on Namek. He uses goku as a target dummy for a variety of attacks that would require long training and practice to master. The energy ball technique that immobilises foes and detonates The telekenisis attack that moves massive objects and hurls them at foes The arcing slice attack that cuts like some sort of light saber The energy balls that destabilise tectonics and cause eruptions The energy disks that cut him in half Even his beams are precise and deadly, going to tell me he just knows how to fire those? Freeza did train, he did teach himself powers and techniques that made the namek fight so varied. If he never trained, he'd be able to do energy beam and balls of energy at best. Immortality was the most important thing in Frieza’s life at that point so why did he not have all his best troops on Namek right away? The Ginyu Force would have been decisive if they arrived earlier.
He also messed up with Broly. As soon as he met Broly he put him up against Goku and Vegeta right off the bat. He should have tested Broly first to see how powerful he was and got him trained to use his power correctly before throwing him in battle without even knowing if he could even go super saiyan or not.

Assuming that, like the sayains, there's no roof on the power level he can achieve through transformation, he could become an unstoppable force if he just put in the effort for awhile and learned to be patient. Except for Zeno, of course, who could erase him from existence because he feels like it.
We'll probably never know if the rest of his race or family share this potential. As far as I know, Frieza is the only one we have solid evidence of gaining such power from training. He was called a prodigy though, so I'd assume not.

Actually it’s the other way around. Frieza messed up by wiping the Saiyans out before they were even a threat to him. Most Saiyans at this time were either Low Level, Low Level Elites, Mid Level or Mid Level Elites. There was no Elite Saiyans yet. Frieza should have waited another ten years.

I can think of two more that Frieza Messed up. After Zarbon defeated Vegeta during their 1st encounter in Namek. Why put him in the tank and restore him back to health knowing that he will betray him at that moment getting those Dragon Balls?? Frieza should be focusing on Goku after he survived his spirit bomb, but he took out Krillin instead and that's how he made Goku a Super Saiyan a form that he would never wanted to face.
Agreed Frieza's over confidence in his abilities truly made him down right careless on Namek.

Time spent training might have appeared to him to be more rationally spent doing other things, like collecting planets and learning about where dragon balls are, just as imperfect cell spent his time absorbing people and looking for androids rather than training.
Jody Cameron buu was the same thing, because he ate people, was super strong thanks to absorbing gohan, and then he decides to attack goku and vegeta without training
rom ram well buu destroyed everyone after absorbing people and really only lost to Deus Ex Fusion. Also keep in mind that the ENTIRE buu saga is like 3 days or whatever. Even if he wanted to train it wouldn't have been for long enough to matter (yet again he wouldn't need to anyway since Buuhan was significantly stronger than both Goku and Vegeta) and the thought would have never crossed Kid Buus mind since Kid Buu probably can't even comprehend the concept of "training" since all he ever wants to do is blow shit up.

Let's be honest though.. Sure he was an alien.. probably maybe .. capable mentally of waaay much more as far as processing, as a human. But if he never trained a day in his life when he fought Goku, even before Super Saiyan. I'd say Frieza not having training, and literally having 0 combat experience other than blowing people up, and then never having to fight so hard he has ever had to transform.. I just don't think his fighting would have been so dominant. The big reason I say this, is because he never has a moment where Goku's hits have the same effect as Janeba's on Gogeta. Goku's hits always hurt him, even if not the most devastating of ways.

Talking about when they mentioned Freeza messed up by not destroying earth from his ship, Goku was the only to finish off Freeza in Trunks's timeline, and that's probably why, Freeza tried to blow up earth, and Goku used instant transmission to stop the blast, and get onto Freeza's ship within the amount of time he had without any oxygen

one of his mistakes in my opinion was trying to kill the sayians in the first place. Think about it, if they he didn't try then bardock wouldn't have sent goku to earth and wouldn't have went to namik -probably spelled it wrong so please don't kill me for it- and wouldn't have unlocked super saiyan and kill frieza and trunks or any saiyan would have unlocked ssj and the saiyans wouldn't have tried to unlock ssj because they wouldn't have a reason to try.

My personal #1 is killing Krillin and causing Goku's transformation into a Super Saiyan. If he just shot at Goku again after shooting down Piccolo he wouldn't have had this problem. Instead he toyed with Goku by turning Krillin into a living firework. That said if Goku was the one who died. Gohan may have awakened his true power as a Super Saiyan much much earlier. But would Gohan have what it takes to defeat Frieza? Probably since his hidden potential comes out in full force in response to his emotional state.

Freeza DID train and practice his powers as he displayed on Namek. He uses goku as a target dummy for a variety of attacks that would require long training and practice to master.

The arcing slice attack that cuts like some sort of light saber
The energy balls that destabilise tectonics and cause eruptions

Freeza did train, he did teach himself powers and techniques that made the namek fight so varied.

He also messed up with Broly. As soon as he met Broly he put him up against Goku and Vegeta right off the bat. He should have tested Broly first to see how powerful he was and got him trained to use his power correctly before throwing him in battle without even knowing if he could even go super saiyan or not.

Rashawn Jordan What Trunks? You can't travel back in time if you are never born. Frieza blows up planet means no trunks being born since Vegeta straight up dies to the Death Ball. Iirc the only reason trunks is born in his own timeline is because Goku senses Frieza beating the shit out of everyone and uses Instant Transmission. If Frieza doesn't take 9 million years to torture everyone and blows up the planet then Goku would never have made it in time.
