That Cho'Gath full AP mid seems disgustingly over powered damnnn. I won't be happy if I ever play versus such a monster.
But to be honest I like that a lot of players are discovering some awesome builds and ways to climb the ranks. Also, love to watch em play in their own way.

Dude, the nostalgic feeling you get with Cho is the same feeling I get with Annie. It's weird. She isn't picked so much, so when I hear quotes, I feel like I've heard it from another game, but it's most definitely from league. Annie was my first main for a good year. I made the newbie mistake and bought her with RP 😢

One fun thing about Cho is his Q is stays a flat 50 mana the entire game. It doesn’t scale in cost. Once you get lost chapter you can basically spam it. All it takes is one Q land, W , Everfrost, E auto, Feast to 100-0 most midlane champs.
Bit of interesting tech at 1:55 - Cho throws his Q at the point where the ground 'descends' into the river, and you can't even see half of the Cho Q hitbox. I think that's one of the main reasons Sylas doesn't dodge it in time.

I did go against this cho mid earlier, i was playing sett. He's so absurdly strong especially when he gets ahead you just cant do anything but i still won the game after forcing fights in other lanes. Cho was also easy to kill since we had ashe and sett chase

Back in the day this was my number one counter pick to assassins mid lane. Was tired of Zed and LeBlanc shitting on my xerath lol
While this was fun, as a Sion mid OTP (Sion and Cho have similar weaknesses and counters in some aspects) I can wholeheartedly say you should not pick this one up right now. The highest pick rate champs right now (Syndra, sylas) will absolutely shit on you. Don't do this to yourself.
syndra isnt mobile, cho can take her poke, shouldnt be that difficult, but u really dont want to give your ult to sylas xd
in my experience AP cho gath is either super strong or completely useless. All depends if the spells land, and against some champs is really hard to land his abilities. Where as something like syndra will always be useful even if she loses lane. maybe im stupid but i dont even think he scales well into late as AP, sure he has a lot of health but he isnt actually tanky, his damage feels underwhelming for spending all your gold into AP once it gets to like 30 min + if he snowballs he feels broken but if he loses or even goes even i dont think hes very good. but hey im not challenger so i could be completely wrong.
@@SilverRat-ez2gjAs someone who main him as ap I can support this opinion. Cho'gath's real threat is his cc and if his ability to zone out carries or assassins with the threat of his combo. It only takes one ability to start the chain and quickly finish someone off, provided of course you can hit it. The extra hp is just there for a larger margin of error and staying power against the other laner but shouldn't be relied upon in a team fight. Good peel will usually stop him in his tracks as he easily gets popped late game. His power spike mid game should be the optimal time for you to try and finish the game before the others inevitably catch up.

ap will be hit alot with new season items, no more everfrost and demonic, the stormsurge item will be great on him, but he will lack the everfrost to be able to deal with dashes, might need to build with protobelt always

I've been playing Cho mid for like 3 seasons. I get flamed all the time by enemy laners because of how much i destroy them. I max q. It has a 100% AP ratio. You hit q, you hit everfrost, you silence, and you eat. All squishies are dead.

They need to put respawn timers back, this shit sucks like it is. You pretty much get no punishment for dieing early and most of the times you even get to win lane cuz the enemy lane is fked up and he tries to shove in to fix it.

recently did an entire climb to challenger playing off-meta picks. seriously. in diamond he played AD galeforce blitzcrank and hard carried.
Even if you aren't crazy good at cho, he's really good as a counterpick into some champions who are less mobile or need to channel. like cho into asol is messed up. any time he breathes you Q or scream at him. cho/senna is still as broken bot lane as ever too for those of us lowelo enough for duos

Cho is definitely great, Grasp, Comet, HoB, Predator, Electrocute are all very viable runes on him, definitely think it depends who you face and what you build yourself.

is it possible for you to post 2 games from these types of picks, one vs a ranged matchup and 1 vs a melee how would this go into something like a orianna or something?
You usually play around jungle in range matchups, you only really have kill prio once the enemy laner makes a mistake and walks into ur Q c: range matchups play a lot different than melee

THE EASIEST WAY TO CLIMB. Cho gath mid- or any other tank- is literally the most degenerate garbage. In a lane where most champions can only burst you for at most 400 damage per trade, picking a tank or bruiser with stats that pretty much give you double the health and resistances of your opponent is absolutely braindead. Not to mention that these same champions also usually have a rediculous amount of sustain. Cho passive heals him for 14 hp each cs. Simply clearing a wave means he heals back 80 hp. If you want to torture an innocent league player, this is the way to do it.
This pick makes me wna kms on a regular basis. I just dont understand what the counterplay is. He has 6 sec cd on q lvl 1 and can perma spam constantly full mama. He has wave manip, cc, tankiness, huge damage including true damage and infinite scaling. Its so stupid imo
