My favourite verse in Psalm 91 is in Verse 3. Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous PESTILENCE. I remembered you broke down the Hebrew word for PESTILENCE (deber) in your recent sermon and taught that the root word of pestilence (deber) is dabar (which means to speak). Our words have so much power, and I pray that we would begin realising how powerful the words of Psalm 91 can be during a crisis like this 🙏🏻

First Verse & last verse (1&16) are my favourites because in both the verses it starts with Jesus ( as jp says secret place ) and ends with - I will show him my salvation i.e yeshua -jesus . Lisa Ramsaroop Memorise the complete verse. Church often quote the first part of Isaiah 54:17 only. The rest is just as powerful if not more. The words that we speak and that others speak and that we hear are very important. It affects our psyche, and our believing falls in line with what we hear and read.
Indeed there are many voices speaking to us.. so much so that almost as soon as we quote a verse to ourselves we forget in this next hour or so. Words are weapons.
“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.”

Our faith is based on hearing. Rom 10:9,10. And Jesus said be careful how you hear...not what you hear even but how.
So then to hear God , silence the other voices... social media, Netflix, gossip, bad news etc. And believe Gods report...Isaiah 53...This is your inheritance.
Create again through speaking just as Father did in Genesis, the works of righteousness.

What struck me was the word “seated”
The Holy Spirit reminded me that the reason we are seated is because Jesus wants us to Rest in the finished work of the cross! As Christ is so m i😍

I love how you stated that Jesus wants us to rest in the FINISHED work of the cross. It IS FINISHED. He is in control and we are not to fear. He has overcome the world for us. We only need to rest beneath his wings.

I pray Ps. 91 daily. I have been saved and protected from many situations (some I've learnt of after). Thank you Jesus! 🙏
For the past three years I have been overshadowed by fear of bacteria that can enter the placenta and cause deformed fetus.
These bacteria are invisible to the eyes and can be found in raw foods. Before starting a pregnancy program I have to do a test to find out if I was infected or not. and if I am infected, I have to postpone pregnancy.
We lost our first baby in 2017, and already had a second baby in 2018, a restoration baby boy from The Lord.
But my husband and I are still yearning for another baby. And every time this longing arises, I will remember this bacteria.
I always worry when eating meat or eating outside the house.
I have heard Pastor Prince preach many times about Psalm 91, but this time the verse that says "Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness," is like jumping at me and The Lord reminds me that I don't need to fear about this bacteria.
Pastor also said about having to do this test and that test because of fear.
God cares about the hidden things deep down in my heart. I have never even said to Him about the fear.
Now I understand my position in Christ and I believe that I will never be infected by this bacteria or other viruses/bacterias in any way.

Thank you for the prayers and encouragement! It times like this that the coronavirus hit the tourism industry my wife's business went zero income for two months now. It really hard to pay our loans seeing our bouncing checks in penalty. It would be easy to quit in life but the words of God like a sword makes our lives more bearable and see His goodness come to pass soon.
