Can you imagine the end of the series a fully operational Deathstar appears over the Planet and Fires, "sky cuts with voice over" to be continued.... in Space Engineers 2
I had an idea last night re: building a fleet of X wings. If you blueprint one and build a welding tunnel/garage, it could spit out X wings by the dozens. Then you could program them to fly on their own and make the station come to live with X wings flying around all over the place. Would be so cool!!!! Also Y wings and TIE fighters
there was a moment when i saw the huge tanks that you were going to make something look like a great big pink thingy, but what you did make is super cool, loved the docking arms
A Idea for the buttracing, @4:17 just above the + cursor, the space between would be a good place for a glass wall, then you could have sunlight into the soon to be docking bays
Putting highly combustible gas into a closed environment is a great way to blow an asteroid (and your entire rebel logistics crew) in to cosmic space dust. If it explodes in space. Nothing happens but the loss of gas. Which is inconvenient but he has an ice planet to get more.
I’m not sure if he plays with hostility on but yeah as soon as you put an antenna on notmally you get ‘interest’ and they would love some gas canisters on the front porch. :)
That is a nice multi-ship arm :) You might want to consider docking the green ship at it's side eventually so you can use the landing pad for a miner or drone/fighter.
Skye thanks to you, I have gotten hooked on this game. I tried this game a couple of years back and quickly stopped playing after an hour because I didn’t have a clue what I was doing. But watching the series I have learned so much and I now have my own mountain base. Keep up the great work.
Be sure to have the living area separate from the fueling and industrial area, as refueling sometimes results in unplanned explosions. The storage area should also be isolated from the other two areas as well.
Daily positive comment I see a lot more positive comments lately. You've build a good community Skye. Hope i can give you a smile sometimes. Will continue my comments always ❤ Also remember to pet Picture 😊. Havent heard her in a long time, say hi from me.
No time left? Sir, you have all of the time in the world! 😱😁🤣😂😅 Great video! You have fired up and inspired me. Thank you very much and a GREAT JOB! 😇🫡🫡🫡🫡
Skye, on the big green ship add a secondary connector so you can park it from behind like the rest of your ships. When you eventually build the "Core" you should add a massive power generator in the middle of the S.H.A.G.G.E.R. H.A.R.D. just like the Death Star.
I noticed that you were struggling to get the correct alignment for the blocks. One thing I found useful is to change the keybinds to 4-9 on my number pad. You could also bind them to other keys and have them rotate like your character.
I've been enjoying the series overall, but after your last video of mentioning the vision for what you're doing I love it even more. *Edit*: Meant to add, with the drilling rig you can use blue prints, projects, and welders to automate the expansion.
I wonder if the square piatons are straight? Pop multi-directional connectors on the ends of the pistons so you can orient your ships whatever way you want?
Looks fantastic. You could put thruster on the asteroid to make it look like could move about , even if it can't. Also maybe rotor and hinges on some of the docking ports so you can adjust to different ships.
If you’re gonna use the prospector like that, you should set your welders up like your drill ship in a big rectangle and reverse out like you’re doing, but in third person and it’ll be easier and faster for you. It’ll be a ship based printer.
I might be wrong, but having a hinge on the B60 (green) ship so you can park it parallel to the dock and other ships and can pot it back flat for a flat docking ship. Just an Idea. Loving the series, has made me fall in love with the game.
Loving the vids Skye!! An idea you could use with the docking pistons is to use sensor blocks so they auto extend when you put the ships in like a designated parking area!! don't know how well it will work but it might be cool! much love.
On the runway section to get to the hangar after getting off the ship, you could use the middle as a walkway/access to equipment and put glass in the gaps you left on the roof and then the people walking on the runway have a bit of glass flooring that can see a little bit inside at the inner workings of the dock and it could extend all the way to the end bit.
Personally I like the idea of a maintenance tunnel going through the middle of the docking arms, rather than cap it off maybe put a door there to have easy access to the insides to repair the internals if it were to get damaged in a raid.
I feel like if this was something in practical use, you might want to have hinges and/or rotors at the end of those pistons to accommodate any incoming port location. That way you don't get ships parking in random directions (like the green ship), and obstructing the path to the large hangar.
Although this is mostly vanilla, there is a Quality of life mod called ‘Production Quota’ it adds the ability to tell assemblers to maintain a certain minimum number of a given component. For example if you set steel plate to say 10,000 and you only have 1,500 in that grid inventory the assembler will auto Q the rest for you!
Hey Skye, first comment on one of your videos. I’ve watched almost all the Timberborn videos all way back to three years ago. Love this series! 36:44 What are your thoughts on color matching the accent pieces around the docking arms to match the ship that you have docked there? That is, if you have a preferred arrangement. Hope you and Picture have a good night!
Im at 18:34 just after you placed the lights. just wanted to add. I think it would look cool if you changed the color of the lights to a light blue for hydrogen then turned them on. It would add depth to the build.
Looking great, Skye! Couple thoughts, Don't forget to add some lights. Depending on how you play and want it to look, you might want piping in specific spots for adding defenses. Do you have the holo lcd from one of the decorative packs? If you might come up with some interesting uses for that on your runway. Really looking awesome.
Given the Skye Wars-related lore, I'm looking forward to the base being armed to repel the inevitable arrival of the Empire ("First Order," you say? Nope, don't remember that from Star Wars. and I've seen all three of the films. ALL THREE, I say!)
I actually saw a space elevator built , I think it was Dragon Nation or something like that. Not sure if he still has any of those vids on his sight or if he still does space engineers, but he used a projector mechanism and timer blocks to project a elevator piece which contained conveyor pieces inside and merge blocks outside(I think) was a long time ago, then welded it, then move his machinery up the new shaft and did it all over again. Rinse and repeat
And yeah you definitely need to add some sort of control tower to it, to control main sections, like extending connectors open hangar door and a much more that you would do
Might be something you already thought of but the hanger below for delivery of hydrogen. Might be worth having removable hydrogen tanks can be done with connectors. So hydrogen tank delivery from plant surface docks with full tank releases full tank then takes empty tank to surface to refill. Could be done on a x10 scale with the size of the area your building.
Hydrogen tanks are usually red which is what i would of done but the paint does look better maybe the inset square connector may be better that docking arm looks amazing you no longer a newbie your classed as a ENGINEER now lol
The B60 looks so cool docked on end like that. Gonna look awesome when you get a few docked up... like sleeping whales. Are you're piston-connector-docks spaced far enough apart to have two B60s next to each other like that though?
Looks awesome. Just to be clear, you've got a base called SHAGGER HARD that has connectors that "extend" out to "couple" with ships. Can the conveyor system easily accommodate the addition of weapons & weapon mounts should you want to add them? Cause you know Darth Klang is going to come looking for you.
I don't know if this works. But it should be possible to mount the welders on a rotor as wide as you need and build long things in one go by just backing slowly backwards or automate it with a piston.
So, no thrusters on the astroid 🤔 Is there a way to build robots? If so, you could automate getting hydrogen to the space station. You should put some kind of lights on the refueling docks so you don't run into them. Almost like a small courtesy light like you would see on tall power antennas.
You have certainly dreamed up WAY too large of several projects for this series. It is going to take you ages to complete it all. I hope you continue because I'm thoroughly enjoying it, but I'm getting the feeling that this is "draining" you already with how much time it is taking to get everything done.
i have a suggestion for the docking connection that is place a sensor that would automate the extension of the pistion upon sensing any apporaching ship..... if any ship is docked then it won't come back and stay in its place.
Just a thought but shouldn't there be some guardrails along the edge of the whole platform as well as the docking pier? Fair enought it's in space anyway but I think it would support the idea that people might fall of to their doom if they are not careful enough around the edges. That being said some sort of a catwalk leading to the docked ships would do wonders too i reckon.
she always likes it when its ribed 😂😂😂glad to see u change the space from 2 too 3 on the butts seen that was like nooooo u will regret it later 😅been there hrs of redoing sucks ik that story
I'm making pigs-in-a-blanket - and ever since New Year's Eve 20/21, I'm thinking about you and Picture as I make them 😄 New Year's Eve with you guys is the best I can remember, and you had pigs-in-a-blanket (among many other things,) so now I like them even better! 🥳🎉✨️
u can also place blocks while in a cockpit reason some say welding/grinder ships are so op make nuke bombers with simple small ship and do massive dmg for low costs if destroyed 😂
At the 29:51 mark you set up a blueprint of the refueling arm. I'm curious in how you made the blueprint. Wouldn't the blueprint contain the arm and the rest of the base since the arm is attached to the base? I would think one would have to cut the arm free and blueprint it and then reattach it by merge blocks. The only other way, I can think of, would be to build a free standing copy of the arm and then blueprint and build it, but that would be silly because you could just put a merge block on the copy and stick it on the arm.
I always use a mod to remove the frames on the blocks as I also hate it. And it doesn’t any advantage then looks I also like how it looks to have two of the new piston connected to eachother but they need to connect to eachother thru the head which makes it a bit difficult.
FULL SERIES PLAYLIST ► bit.ly/3ZoLirk
i just wanna know if using hangar doors will give you more space.... space in space .... thank you for the Playlist
Lol S.H.A.G.G.E.R. H.A.R.D. missing a picture perfect reaction to that one!!
Not even 15 seconds into the video and I already had a good laugh. Never change, Skye, never change! ❤
I know right? The guy has a talent of making me feeling like he is talking right to me. Thats a rare talent indeed.
True. Plus his love for Star Wars is a huge bonus.
facts🎉🎉🎉😂😂😂
What a name 😂😂
5:55 Your enthusiasm demonstrates that the ribbed surface does in fact bring pleasure. S.H.A.G.G.E.R. H.A.R.D. indeed.
"Ribbed, for her pleasure... EEEWWW!" 😂
Can you imagine the end of the series a fully operational Deathstar appears over the Planet and Fires, "sky cuts with voice over" to be continued.... in Space Engineers 2
Very cool! And I'm glad you explained things in the last episode on your vision.
I really like how you made either side of the H.A.R.D. shaft open so the balls are visible. The new ribbing on the main platform is looking good too.
there was a moment when i saw the huge tanks that you were going to make something look like a great big pink thingy, but what you did make is super cool, loved the docking arms
Enjoying the series, cannot devote the time to games like this but love to see what you can do
In the 90s' there were lego sets with spaceships in black and yellow, the coolest thig ever. Your docking port reminds me of them.
I am enjoying this series so much more than I thought I would! I’ve never played space engineers but now I really want to!
A Idea for the buttracing, @4:17 just above the + cursor, the space between would be a good place for a glass wall, then you could have sunlight into the soon to be docking bays
Putting the tanks outside is like asking for a big boom ;x I would not do that in your place! :)
@@yutti311 A mix of the two is preferred. Gas tanks exposed to space, but with an armored shroud around them.
It'd be cool to turn the round crater below the hangar doors into a small hangar for a docking tug. Space tugboat! 😀
That is a nice multi-ship arm :)
You might want to consider docking the green ship at it's side eventually so you can use the landing pad for a miner or drone/fighter.
looking fantastic, love the use of the lights and blocks really makes it pop
Skye thanks to you, I have gotten hooked on this game. I tried this game a couple of years back and quickly stopped playing after an hour because I didn’t have a clue what I was doing. But watching the series I have learned so much and I now have my own mountain base. Keep up the great work.
That docking arm looks impressive to be sure! And with the way you've docked the ships, the green one (forgot the name) is acting like a giant flag.
A very nice Battlestar Galactica look! Love it. Thx for your enthusiasm Skye! Always a nice time listening to you.
36:40 You can place glass panel on those holes in the middle of the dock with an airlock at the end and use it as one the entrances
Be sure to have the living area separate from the fueling and industrial area, as refueling sometimes results in unplanned explosions. The storage area should also be isolated from the other two areas as well.
Daily positive comment
I see a lot more positive comments lately. You've build a good community Skye. Hope i can give you a smile sometimes. Will continue my comments always ❤

Woohoo! more Skye Wars!
An idea for the cave 22:18 you should leave a bit of the cave as it is, and have windows pointing into the cave
You could enclose that with glass and on the end put a small door to access the inside for Maintenance reasons. Just a thought
14:20 If you get me laughing really good, I start to laugh like Muttley
The side of the shaft gives me vibes of the side edge of a star destroyer. with all the tanks / greebos
No time left? Sir, you have all of the time in the world! 😱😁🤣😂😅
Great video! You have fired up and inspired me. Thank you very much and a GREAT JOB! 😇🫡🫡🫡🫡

master jedi skye 🎉🎉🎉😂😂😂😂 love the laughs bro more people need to be like u just enjoying there time
I wonder if the square piatons are straight?
Pop multi-directional connectors on the ends of the pistons so you can orient your ships whatever way you want?
For your drills to make the tunnel larger, you could use hinges and adjust the angles as needed
Muttly's laugh always tickled me.

Between the gas tanks could be a maintenance walkway where Skye Lukewalker can fight with his Dad ;-).
Surrounded by highly compressed and extremely flammable gas....
So cool! Your design is really great, Skye!
Thanks for sharing 👍 I liked the yellow. It made it look industrial.
I might be wrong, but having a hinge on the B60 (green) ship so you can park it parallel to the dock and other ships and can pot it back flat for a flat docking ship.
Just an Idea. Loving the series, has made me fall in love with the game.

Skye are you going to make the middle of the hydrogen conveyor docking a service area with a gangway/walkway? 💙 I’m
Loving this so much!!!

Dick Dastardly and Muttley were in Catch The Pigeon and Wacky Races and I bloody loved both cartoons.
Also to add, at 32:50 If you build a remote control block you can extend your docking arms from your ship.
You definitely want a couple of those big H2 tanks on your tanker ships too
Impressive! Looking forward to the rest!
Im at 18:34 just after you placed the lights. just wanted to add. I think it would look cool if you changed the color of the lights to a light blue for hydrogen then turned them on. It would add depth to the build.
Pressurized maintenance corridor down the middle with doors leading out at each docking point maybe ?
Would the spotlight facing the tank look good turned on illuminating the tanks I wonder
Red rotating warning lights for your landing pad. For landing and departures.
Could set up action relays on the base (One per piston) then an action relay on the ships so you can operate the docking pistons remotely.
Looking great, Skye!
Couple thoughts,
Don't forget to add some lights.
Depending on how you play and want it to look, you might want piping in specific spots for adding defenses.

Loving the content. Keep it up. Your designs are inspirational.
Before you add the antenna, be sure to add defences or you will be in for a surprise.
14:30 it's starting to look like the strongest shape 😂
You are so good . Love it

Having an antagonist force would be cool, I know you're going with vanilla but you could load in MES to have a reason to put defences etc. in place?
Awesome work and your silly puns crack me up
How about some defense platforms around the asteroid? Please & thank you. love the episodes.
Hydrogen tanks are usually red which is what i would of done but the paint does look better maybe the inset square connector may be better that docking arm looks amazing you no longer a newbie your classed as a ENGINEER now lol

Are you're piston-connector-docks spaced far enough apart to have two B60s next to each other like that though?
It’s looking brilliant Skye! I don’t like how the one ship docks. I wonder if you can put a docking collar that bends on that ship? Just curious.
Another great video, thought about a walkway down the middle of the fuel dock?
Looks awesome. Just to be clear, you've got a base called SHAGGER HARD that has connectors that "extend" out to "couple" with ships. I like these acronyms 😂
she always likes it when its ribed 😂😂😂glad to see u change the space from 2 too 3 on the butts seen that was like nooooo u will regret it later 😅been there hrs of redoing sucks ik that story
Enjoying the enthusiasm :-)
You should add some view ports on between buttress's like ever other or every 2
Love the yoda voice😅
Now you have to test the square piston and compare to it the base game one.
What about putting a hinge on the ends of the piston docking arms for flexibility?
Considering the inspiration, is it wise having a tunnel through a round installation?
I'm making pigs-in-a-blanket - and ever since New Year's Eve 20/21, I'm thinking about you and Picture as I make them 😄 New Year's Eve with you guys is the best I can remember, and you had pigs-in-a-blanket (among many other things,) so now I like them even better! 🥳🎉✨️
Shift+P use the color of the block you are pointing at.
yeaaaa Sky time
u can also place blocks while in a cockpit reason some say welding/grinder ships are so op make nuke bombers with simple small ship and do massive dmg for low costs if destroyed 😂
What about small docking bays across the front, under the top door cover?
Once you add the Emergency Repairs to the H.A.R.D. base you'll have to change it to H.A.R.D.E.R.
At the 29:51 mark you set up a blueprint of the refueling arm. I'm curious in how you made the blueprint.

Hey bro, try to look at mood - No more edges ..... i think to your creations will be look much more petter, im using this mood always
Very cool Skye.
Umm how about building a capitol ship in the not so distant future =p
I always use a mod to remove the frames on the blocks as I also hate it.
And it doesn’t any advantage then looks
I also like how it looks to have two of the new piston connected to eachother but they need to connect to eachother thru the head which makes it a bit difficult.
