  • this is using wsl under the hood you can interact and do copy paste between machines.. this is an alternative to dual booting, virtual box, hyper v,vmware which are not lightweight.
i made this because i need a quick linux machine that is lightweight and support copy paste
there are two files clean-setup.ps1 and install-setup.ps1 you have to run both you only need to run clean-setup.ps1 ones the only modification is the password in install-setup.ps1 make sure it matches what you input in during wsl installation you can switch to ubuntu by changing debian to ubuntu
    i verified with
    lxqt-desktop , lxde-desktop, xfce-desktop,gnome-flashback-desktop,gnome-desktop, cinnamon-desktop,mate-desktop,kde-desktop
    lxqt-desktop , lxde-desktop, xfce-desktop,kde-desktop are good and fast
    this is also using powershell

I really don't like setup. Best is to use linux as the main OS. Wine can do most of the stuff in linux and for emulation qemu is the best.
And if ur using windows for gaming, animation or editing then just don't use linux lol

if you are stuck on windows this one way. i prefer linux my self as main OS.. there is KVM tool like synergy or barrier for multi environments that is if you can afford another machine.
you can use proxmox if you want multiple VM or containers that is if you have a beefy computer
