I need these as an earworm right now. So celebratory. Being holed up for going on 3 weeks in the worst COVID19 hotspot planet wide (Los Angeles County) at the moment, I need all the joy I can get.

This is perfect for my depressed self at this moment. Much love! The 2nd is a piece I have been trying to relocate for 15 or so years and here it is!

Although I know Kalinnikov's two symphonies, these Intermezzi are new to me and I've thoroughly enjoyed my first listen to their richly orchestrated and melodic splendour. Couldn't be mistaken for anything other than Russian Romanticism but that's fine by me. As ever, Jarvi conducts with panache while the world class credentials of the LSO are immediately apparent. Thanks for making available two less familiar pieces.

Part of the overture to Tzar Boris is so moving I
      can't explain its effect
upon me. . Everytime I hear it, a new portal
      opens.
      The 2nd divertimento
      has a rousing effect !

      @@debjahdo1889 -- So true....and I feel the same 'frisson' from Glière's 2nd Symphony....Bravo from Acapulco!
