Really appreciate the interview. Helps me see that Adam is a genuine person who has all these crazy concepts and lore in his mind that help him produce such a good game. As crazy as he is, you can’t argue his work.
Great job Bra. Other videos I've seen from different creators are so boring that even Poots gets bored with the interview. You could tell Adam was enjoying himself and wanted to continue. L9ved Gen Con blinking the lights on you and giving a "Last Call"
Great job Bra! So many interesting lore questions. I know he couldn’t answer everything, but good to see that he appreciates all that the community has picked up on.
Once again I catch myself flirting with acquiring KDM. With all this extreme secrecy, open design paths to explore, and lore connections that can only be done by hunting snippets anywhere that is not within the game boxes (got that impression from another video), is it even possible to enter KDM at this point? Wonder if there will eventually be a point where it could make more sense, like waiting for a new KS, or a KDM 2. I might have enought content in other boardgames to roll without KDM for 2-5 years, so I could wait. Side note, Oathsworn and ATO have been my favs from the past 2y. I super enjoyed the narrative aspects and the discovery, the unveiling of the secrets. There's also some narrative structure to it. I keep wondering if KDM is so lose that I would reach the end of a campaign and still not know anything meaningful about what just happened. Thoughts? Video recommendations? Help? :)
Sorry for the late reply. Hmm, I made a lore primer video that discusses how Poots wants the lore to feel. Poots would rather the player experience lore via the perspective of the survivors. It will always be possible to jump into KDM. The core game (1.6 at this time) offers so much. You can pick them up on the main Kingdom Death shop still. Waiting for another KS might be 2-5 years, you are correct. The two games you mentioned take large inspiration from KDM. I still find KDM to be a better game than ATO, but that does not mean I do not enjoy ATO. ATO is hard to translate to videos, as the journey phase is mostly just reading a book and making reactive decisions rather than proactive ones. (That is just how it feels to me.) Oathsworn is much more linear in my humble opinion. KDM is a true sandbox. When you reach the end of the core campaigns story, you will not have ALL the questions answered, you be left wondering what is till out there. (This is by intent as KS2 (with the new core version of the game) added a new ending to allow for expansions.) That answer is a new expansion. The ending you get after defeating the monster 80% or the way through (the old ending) does feel complete and offers a nice ending. Expansions all offer their own isolated stories. Thus the true sandbox nature of KDM. Tossing in a expansion monster is easy and fits into any existing game. You will then see the life cycle of that monster as you engage with it. Owning everything is not necessary. Gambler's Chest seems to be a true KDM 2.0. It is a expensive expansion, but not needed. I will start live streaming that very soon. From what I can see, that seems to be much the same as KDM. You will get a conclusive ending that leaves you wonder what else is out there, but you do reach a finale. Think of it as a old western movie. You have a conclusive ending to the story, but characters do ride off into the sunset leaving you to wonder what else they get up too.
@@BraMithra Thank you for taking the time to answer! :) It's really good to hear that at the core campaign conclusion there's both a sense of I know a some of what's going on mixed with I walk towards the sun. I'm again between that urge of "I must get it now!" and "I can wait for the perfect time to join", bc like I said... I have 2-5 years of campaign gaming accumulated to play (Kingdoms Forlorn, Herakles, ISS, Etherfields, Primal, Isofarian, Tainted Grail, Kings of Ruin, just to mention a few). Considering this... I think it makes sense to hold on and find the perfect timing to jump in. I'm not shy about the expense, it's more that I probably wouldn't table it in a while and when I finally manage to table it in some years having a 1.6 copy won't be the best answer... it would be more valuable to acquire later, with further iterations. One thing that I feel it might be extra exciting to wait for is Campaigns of Death.
@@knightsilver7549 Poots mention in the interview that bringing it live events is the best thing to do. Thye may find another better way in the future.
I think he might have let slip that some sort of “scalping” is coming to the game (even though you said “scouting”). However, I might be reading too much into this.
Didn't I say I wanted to see a Goblin Guard cosplay? Goblin Guard is something straight out of the old Dark Crystal movie. That would be so cool to see. These were also community questions and this video was made for the KDM community. Fans wanted to know what cosplay to wear to GenCon. KDM players enjoy Also, Lucy is a beacon of positivity.
You did a great job Bra. Poots is just a bad interviewee imo. "It is.... but it isnt.... it's somewhat!" Seems to be his answer. Looks like his style is to figure it out as he works on it.
Poots is so fun to interview lol. The interview technically started while I was still setting up my camera, that is why it starts with "Well we are already recording anyway, and no proper intro."
Thanks for the hard work Bra, and for sharing an interesting talk with Poots.
I am glad you enjoyed it and equally appreciate all your hard work in the art department!
Awww :3 so happy for your first interview :) I would be nervous as hell, so amazing job! Keep going! Thank You for hard work putting into this!
I am glad you enjoyed it. Next time I will be more laser focused!
Deeply appreciate you taking the time to add the questions to the bottom. Hype for more Astrology Knights aa
I shared all my questions in the Lantern's Reign discord as well. Maybe next year we can get more!
Thanks 4 putting this together. Finally an interviewer who knows what he is asking :)
I am glad you enjoyed it. Next year we will get some answers!
thank you so much for putting this all together. Your work is greatly appreciated.
I am glad there are more Poots interviews for everyone to enjoy, I know many awaited this all night lol.
Thank you for this interview... its been a while since we seen poots.
I am glad I was able to do this for everyone!
Thank you for doing the interview. It is greatly appreciated.
I am glad you enjoyed it!
Best interview with Poots I’ve seen, well done Bra
I am glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for putting this together!
I am glad you enjoyed it!
This is fab - thank you! You look giddy with excitement throughout :)
so cool!! i really appreciate having someone so knowledgeable ask these questions, thank you Bra!
I am glad you enjoyed it! I loved your Dragon King vid! Nice find with the alternate art founding stone!
Cool interview Mr Mithra, appreciate you making the trip and doing this.

They seem to have really nailed with GCE, and I look forward to next year and speaking with him again, and not cutting out GCE spoilers.
That ending. We are playing people of the stars for the first time, and we just pulled the Goblin this last saturday thanks for renewing my PTDS lol.
What question? I forgot how this ended.

I shared them in full in the Lantern's Reign Discord.
The ending lol
What happened? I forget?
Great interview. Very interesting topics.
I am glad you enjoyed it!
Well, that lore talk went exactly as I have imagined it would :D
Thank you for bringing the interview so fast to us!
I have posted the questions in the Lantern's Reign Discord. I tried!
What a fun interview, thanks for the KD content!
I really enjoyed it! I am glad I was able to take so many community questions with me.
Great stuff Bra, keep it up! Quick ?, is there a PDF of the Gambler's chest rulebook you are aware of?
Not that I know of.

Thanks a lot for the content and bring some of the KDM GenCon flavour for us afar from it 🥰
I am glad you enjoyed it!
The end was great! IYKYK
I am glad everyone enjoyed it!
Good job! An interesting and engaging interview.
I am glad you enjoyed it!
Yes, what about your questions regarding the Goblin?
Did I ask one, the end of the interview is kinda hazy.
Excellent interview dude, really great stuff.
I am happy you enjoyed it!
I would love an Astrology Knights campaign. I've actually had a few ideas on this so I'm super happy that more are coming.
I have 1.6 and gamblers, I could hardly keep up with this conversation. I wish I knew more.
We do speak kind of fast lol
20:40 so... no chance of Death High characters getting Isekai'ed into KDM then?
I guess not. Amy is our only shot at a school girl in KDM.
Let's gooooooo
Indeed! Let's go!
Well done Bra Mithra.
I am glad players have this, Poots interviews are so rare!
We’ll thought out interview
I am glad it was enjoyable!
What about the questions of the goblin Bra! What about them!?
I blacked out and woke up at home.
Great Video!
I am glad you enjoyed it!
what do you get for trading in your king's coin?
I did not trade in a coin, but I heard some players did so for a pre-order of a Butcher Bust.
OK, thank you. Do you know if there will be other stuff to trade in?

WHAT WAS THE QUESTION ON THE GOBLIN!
I forgot, maybe next time!
Awesome interview when are you gonna go live with card sleeving
I tried to get started ASAP, unfortunately I had some capture card issues, but we got there in the end.
Adam Poots looks like he’s getting older 😢
It happens. Such is time.
Damn goblin
Goblin deez nuts
What about the Goblin? Did I ask about it?
Did he fix his teeth?
Was there a issue?
@@BraMithra mostly messing with him, but yeah in previous interviews they were ghastly

I'm sure the bone eaters will be scalping people out on the encounter board.
Scalping monsters would be interesting lol
Cringe when you’re talking about the girls. Go out and touch grass etc.
