Not having any chance to issue his Ave Maria in 70s in the USSR the
composer Vladimir Vavilov had to hide himself behind Caccini. It`s
proved 100% the music is his own. Such approaches in music couldn`t
simply exist in principle in the middle of 16th century.

Loved the music version of it at the start. The countertenor seems like half a time he sing so effortlessly. Scary to realise the strength of his voice. Truly amazing!
...stop giving false statements. The work belongs to the USSR composer Vavilov. It's about time we paid tribute to him. He simply took the melody of Caccini for his composition. And that's it. If you know a little bit about music theory, you can immediately hear from the harmonic chords that we are talking about the 20th century and not about the late Renaissance.
Vavilov did not take anybody's melody, this Ave Maria is completely his.
V. Vavilov took not melody but the name of Caccini the barocco composer for his Ave Maria that first he attributed to "anknown author"/ He also took the names of F. da Milano (Canzona and Dance), N. Nigrino (Ricercar) , V. Galilei (Suite for lute - Pavana and Galiarda), Jean-Antoine de Baïf (Pasturela), Denis Gaultier (Gavot) and many others....
he didn't even take Caccini's melody - it's more of a ripoff from "All the Things You Are"

Необычное исполнение . Слушала прежде в исполнении хора мальчиков (Les Choristes) и девичьего хора ( Meninas Cantoris Petropolis). Спасибо Вам, что рассказали о Вавилове (он не родственник другого гения- Вавилова, ученого - генетика, погибшего в 30-ые годы, "Зубр")?

Composer is Vladimir Vavilov, not Caccini at all. It is well known mystification.
It's unprofessional to use composition without giving any credit to the true author Vladimir Vavilov. They should of put his name on the title and write attributed to Caccini... sorry, it's dislike from me

Przepiękne wykonanie. Wyjątkowa dbałość o detale. Dopasowana aranżacja orkiestry i świetnie poprowadzona i wykonana. Płynność wokalu i jak rzadko akompaniament-orkiestra jest dla solisty i jemu służy. Prowadzenie orkiestry, by doprowadzić do piana wokalu. Na żywo prawdopodobnie chór jest bardziej słyszalny, ale w nagraniu stanowi wyjątkowe tło. Brawo

Beautiful performance. Exceptional attention to detail. Tailored orchestra arrangement and well conducted and performed. The vocal fluidity and, as rarely, the orchestra accompaniment is for and for the soloist. Leading the orchestra to bring the vocals to froth. Live, the choir is probably more audible, but in the recording is a unique background. Bravo

Autorem nie jest Caccini, ale radziecki gitarzysta Vladimir Vavilov. W 1970 roku nagrał album „Lutnia XVI-XVII wieku”, na którym podpisywał swoje dzieła nazwiskami innych kompozytorów.

@@NachoMist Caccini is a wonderfull barocco composer: th-cam.com/video/q5Hz-X-IBzU/w-d-xo.html and he himself is not to blame as he died in 1618 ( 450 years before Vavilov wrote his masterpiese Ave Maria and for the first time in the world registrated only the melody AM in Melodia State Studio in 1970 as "anknown author" and in 1972 he gave it to opera singer Irina Bogachova attributing it to Caccini. Thus she started performing Ave Maria "by voice" and in 1975 made the first disc where Ave Maria for the first time in history was united with Caccini's name/

Not enough ring in that voice sorry. Singing placement not fully in the mask and higher as most issues with countertenors and that hootiness comes out and a not so even vibrato. Small voice.

Same chord progression as FLY ME TO THE MOON by Bart Howard written in 1954. So, it isn't by Caccini and it isn't by Vavilov. It is by Howard.
If this is from Caccini as it is rumored. Than he was there long before Howard, don't you think?

What an absolutely awful counter tenor!!! Forced tone, itsy-bitsy tiny voice and totally without musical feeling. Of course, the terrible orchestral arrangement doesn't help him in any way.
