DUDE!!! I love you so much! I had a brand new PS3 controller my daughter dropped multiple times, and I thought it was heading straight to the trash!! I found your video and it took me 10 mins to get it back to NEW! Thank you so much man, times are tough right now and it just guts me to buy another controller atm. Have a great day bro!
Thank you for the video. It worked perfectly. P.S. If one of the two white parts falls of while taking out the board, just look at the other one to determine how to put the fallen one back correctly.
@@Fizlo rubber is undamaged I'm not sure about the ribbon. I might have done it accidentally. If that's the case, I hope I can find a replacement, I'm in Costa Rica, and even generic controllers are difficult to find.
It works. Do as in this video. I've seen other videos people (idiots) use WD-40 spray on the controls joysticks & buttons. The idiots do not understand that WD-40 is oil base not recommended for any type electrical (battery) controllers or consoles because it's oil base it collects dust, lint, dirt making it sticky. It's common sense.
Everything was going well for me until I had to put the battery back in the controller and now for some odd reason it doesn't stay or click the wires isn't damaged for me I been stuck on this for hours and I got the pin facing up
Thanks, this worked a treat. Just one comment on the video - that music is annoying and way too loud - why do you even need it when you're trying to talk?
I've done this fix, multiple times. about a year ago my PS3 controller was pressing every single button when i press the X button. i did this fix, and it was resolved. 2 days ago the dpad started pressing itself constantly, tried adding more tape to the tape already there, and the d-pad continued to loop it's button presses for no reason. I added even more tape to the point where i could barely put the controller back together, and then i tried again, this time the d-pad buttons (if they were not randomly pressing themselves) died and would not respond when i pressed them, so now i'm stuck with no other controller and one controller that is half working, what do i do?
Not sure, sounds like a different problem than this one. I'd check out some other videos and check the cables for the membranes, they may need replacing.
big bro i did this even put tried a new circuit ribbon the buttons just go ape shit when i cut it on. i don’t understand what the problem is. any pointers would be appreciated.
Hey there I seem to have a problem and I was wondering if you would be able to help. I can’t seem to unscrew the little screw in the mother board for some reason. Do you know of a way to loosen it?
it might be stripped, try a larger screwdriver maybe. I'm not sure what the problem could be but you might have to look up how to get a stripped screw out.
not sure. I used a double sided tape. I just used the thickest one I could find. you can use normal electric tape, just roll it up so that it will push the cable onto the board when it's pushed back together.
I tried but it didn't work the L2 and R2 buttons fell out and I cant put it back,it worked so thanks for this I guess I have the buttons repaired thanks for the tutorial ✌👍❤
@@Mariospro1969 the hardest part is putting it back together LOL. I have o experience at all and was able to do it. If your controller is spazzing out so bad it’s unusable like mine, then trying to repair it is totally worth it. If you can’t then whatever, it didn’t work in the first place 😁
I just finished doing this a couple minutes ago and it worked! One strip of tape didn't work so I added 2 more (total of 3 strips). Thank you so much!
Man I dropped it on the floor and it’s working perfectly🤣

Tried doing this, unfortunately the last screw it’s stripped and can’t be opened: opened to some ideas 💡

Something happened with the ribbon and rubber piece there
Did you break the rubber or any ribbon cables? If so you'd have to replace those.

Where do I find a screwdriver to fit in there every time I try to stick one down there I’m unsuccessful?
Wow I really thought something was wrong with my controller and it was really a piece of styrofoam. I fixed it by wrapping it in receipt paper

I bought the same Wiha screwdriver bit set 😊
Super helpful! Thank you very much

Hi bro,
do u know how can i charge my ps3 battery without usb?
Will it also work if the troubled button is the PS button? Because the PS Button in my controller is pressing on its own like crazy. Thanks
Same here idk what I would do
Don't have rubbing alcohol. Any other suggestions?
you don't have to clean it. It's just a good idea if you have alcohol

look up ways to get a stripped screw out. I'm not sure

The issue I always have is getting the back of the controller over the l2 and r2
Put that part on first. Get them lined up then you can do the rest of the back
I bit the joystick when I was younger and I pressed the buttons so hard Can I fix it?
Depends on the damage. You should be able to with enough repairs

Hey bro plz tell me that on my ps3 controller how to fix ps button it's pressing on its own

Whenever I use the d pad gets activated will this solve my problem
worth a shot, not sure tho it could be your dpad membrane

yeah it's the same issue, this tutorial will fix it

yea. I would recommend cleaning because it's easy and goes a long way but this is a pretty simple fix.

you can put them back you just need the little spring in the right orientation, there should be other tutorials for that kind of stuff too

Now my PS3 controller is not turning on after reassembling it
Can you tell me the reason??
Is the battery properly in place and are all the wires still connected and not damaged?
Sad when trash third party controllers don't even do this smh. I will be trying this though.

what should i use if i don’t have alcohol
you don't have to clean it

Doesnit have to be double sided tape
no, but it has to be thick. That's why double sided works best
and you don't want it to stick to the cable
Quick and easy, thanks
Thanks you so much 😭😭
