I'm wondering if a squirrel will go down the black Iron pipe waste stack vent if you have ever heard of such a thing if you can help me with any information about such a thing
Not usually inside of the soil stack. They go through the boot on the roof and down the side of the pipe all the time. But, never say never. Here is a video where flying squirrels were using it. What are pod vents made with? I have plastic ones and they have never been an issue with animals but with my squirrel problems in the last 2 years entering from other means, a subcontractor had indicated that I should replace them all with metal ones. Your thoughts?
Most are plastic or aluminum. If squirrels want there, aluminum won't stop them any better than plastic. Vent covers made of steel are available or can be self-manufactured with wire. Covering the vent is preferable to replacing it.

How much would a job like this cost? Looks like wildlife removal is expensive... and DIY would not be a safe nor cheap investment either
The more animals removed, the more the expense. The repairs are calculated by the material and labor cost. This job is over $500.
