I have the 4070 version and i really like it. I did not like the ROG Flow at all because of heat and noise even for office tasks. The PX13 is totally silent for most tasks. It becomes a bit noisy when gaming or 3D rendering but it does not get crazy hot unlike the Flow. Overall, i am extremely pleased. Screen is excellent, ports are good, performance is amazing. Battery life with iGPU is very good. Nice laptop, no doubt.
You can use custom fan curves for either of these machines and fully control which chip set its using and make both MUCH better suited for whatever task your doing. Stock settings are fairly raw and feel poorly optimized.
I have the PX13 with just a 4050 and it's blazing fast for everything. I've even played COD at native screen res (accidentally) and it still didn't skip a beat. Love it.
I still say SnapDragon 2024 is a replay of Cyrix 1995. I'd still choose the Mac over the Asus for creator work in pretty much every circumstance. Thanks for the work on these units Lauri.
I see a rebranding of ROG Flow, That small laptop would burn my table and had F16 like fans. I thought I would use it on travel meetings ,but it just sat on the closet for months until sold to a willing buyer. Building a good laptop is not just cramming in all the latest junk but working out the heat and noise as well.
Outstanding breakdown, thanks, I can't use the keyboard on my 13" Air, too small for me fat fingers, is the keyboard any bigger than that 13" air? Also, I guess I'm among the small percentage preferring diving board track pads, I like the movement, I don't get that on my haptic trackpad. One point, there's no qualcomm CPU that compares in performance to either Intel, amd or Apple, even if we make believe it can run everything, it's a class c beta cpu with pathetic graphics, I can't figure out why MS pushed that beta CPU as hard as they did Finally, it looked to me like the pen has no pressure or angle sensor to increase width accordingly? Do you think the screen supports a better pen that does? And the real "finally": how are speakers and how long on battery, both heavy tasks and just movie watching Thanks for this review!
I would like to see performance results for real-world use cases for the PX13 vs the Macbook Pro M4 Pro. Specifically, Blender editing, viewing smoothness, Cycles rendering, and Davinci Resolve editing, playback smoothness, rendering speed in addition to export speed. Apple fan boys and fan girls always give the edge to the Macbook but I'm not yet convinced.
But you are comparing base 12/16core M4pro with the highest end Px13. Take the 14/20core M4pro and that delivers about 1680score in cb2024 and 1800score in the 16inch version that allows for 46w PL2 as opposed to 40w Pl2 in the 14inch. Cb2024 scores for mac is score*110-115% due to benchmark being x86 biased. So 1680*112.5%=1890 1800*112.5%=2025 Also Redshift and Blender is not a good representative of GPU performance, the 14/20 version easily comes in level with a 100w 4070M
hey im just curious if you have any plans on doing a review on asrock new gpu that came out in july, the asrock radeon creator card that they have both in the 7900xt and xtx version
I think the new ProArt laptops are better and there is still more room to improve with the next AMD 16 cores CPU, if they will put it into the new 16 inch laptop i am going to buy it for sure.
Pricing Vs MacBook It is a shame to include apple upgrade greed to prove this thing price "reasonable" apparently not reasonable Both overpriced and something from a few years later will put these into dust
Yeah hard pass for me. $1700 for a laptop with a rtx 4050 in it?!? Not worth it at all. It looks nice but cmon, all of the existing laptops are just fine for the same workload and you can get them for less with rtx 4070s in them. Your paying a premium for asus branding. And they dont even handle their warranties that well. Not worth it imo.
got the 4050 open box excellent condition from best buy for $1390. much more reasonable IMO, don't forget to keep an eye out! most times local pickup isn't available but can be shipped!
@@frankwong9486 ideally its the same person that would be considering both so it makes sense. To a point you may be right in Asus thinking they are equal to apple when they are not but you have to admit versus any other windows based laptops on the market they are top 2 easily so they are able to pull a premium price tag.

If your in the US, the P16 with the 4060, can add extra ssd and 32 gigs of ram is currently $1599 vs the px13 with a 4050 at $1699

Px13 looks nice 👌

I will only consider buying one when they release a refresh with at least 90Hz refresh rate screen and an RTX 5xxx GPU.
Why you dont show the benchmark based on rendering speed ?
Thank you Lauri.

It's not about the cores, it's about the price. Users usually have a budget😅

Could you test the performance difference of Photoshop, Lightroom between M4 pro vs PX 13 please?
To bad in the USA the Asus ProArt PX13 is not available with the RTX 4070
this would be perfect had they put 120hz
What is the lightest, best 15-16 inch windows machine right now at Christmas time 2024? Photoshop and Lightroom user.
The AMD Ryzen version of the Asus G16 unless you need touch input Then P16
is there a USB to rj45 adaptor
the screen look to be clossy witch i hate , all screen for creator should be matte.
dear asus..please make this a tablet...i'll use my own keyboard, thank you. I'm looking very hard at the MinisForum V3.
will it play Talos Principle 2?
Won't you make a B580 GPU video?
testing it now, my sample only arrived couple of days ago :)
@theTechNotice nice, curious to see how it's gonna perform.
M4 pro, what config? 20 gpu?
This or MacBook Pro 16 M4 Max 48 gb ram?
WORD
Sorry but Minisforum V3 shitted on this tablet PC.

Asus tax + Proart tax
Need to bring in MacBook upgrade greed to made this Asus looks " price reasonable" which isn't
