Honestly never watch videos comparing 2 players. Watch videos of best moments from players individually. It’ll give you a better view of what they were capable off. Some recommendations: Messi, c.Ronaldo, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, David beckham, Ronaldinho, Juninho, Ronaldo Nazario, Zinedine Zidane. There are so many more. But those would make for some nice videos. I have just found this channel. But you both look like a fun couple!

Messi has the highest record of 91 goals in one year thats insane no one came close. And messi has the most ballon d'or (the player of the year award) he has 7 of them... 🐐
If you are looking for a complete striker and you have unlimited striker, go for ronaldo. If you want a guy that is the best at small spaces, and play 1vsX (where x is more then one), I would also say he has greater assist and threw balls. Ronaldo have a better shot imo, and he is taller and can jump high so he is a good header. Messi mostly amazing at plazing the ball at the perfect place when he shoots. But then I am a Barcelona fan, and so I hold Messi in higher regards then Ronaldo.
I do however feel like Messi is extremly specialise in what he does, and if your team is not going to have the ball and being on their side of the pitch for at least 60% of the game, get ronaldo every day of the week.
At the end of the day I don't know why we have to compare just watch both of them and realise they are the top of the top.
Messi has better long shots and it take less shots for him to score on average and he has a better goal ratio

Messi can get away with shooting the ball a bit slower (including penalties) AFTER he makes it look like he's shooting to one side, and he sees the goalie moving that way, then shooting the ball "behind" him. At that point he doesn't need the power. We don't realize on video how many fakes Messi does with his body as he's moving the ball forward, but trust me, even he's so quick that players are conditioned to move immediately the fraction of a second they realize he's going to do something, so even a flinch in his body one way can get defenders and goalies to move the wrong way. THAT is something that no other players in history has ever been able to do to that extent; and the reason why he can dribble through multiple players consistently.

I used play in goal and its not so much that the goalies are nervous around Messi so let in those weak shots. It's about being wrong footed because he just goes against convention.
If a striker is approaching from an angle, the convention is for them to shoot "across" the goal.

This is because that "side" of the goal is larger from that perspective. Goalies are primed to jump that way because they know the strikers are trained to shoot that way
so when messi does a shot that "cuts back" , together with feigning as if he's going to blast it, the goalie is already shifting his weight to jump the opposite way. so it then doesnt matter how softly he actually shoots because it takes 1 second to react and then another second to shift your weight back to centre to dive the opposite way
