There have been Several great suggestions for people who can help, even if you have the machinery (which you should based on your projects), they can help you figure out how to use them and how to construct the doorframe. We all love a crossover collaboration with our favorite TH-cam channels. Personally it gives me joy to see the people I follow doing joint projects.

If it’s what all the craftsman in the area charge it’s not “over the top pricing” it’s call the going rate for a craftsman service. They’ve already purchased the expensive equipment you’re talking about and are experts at doing the work. That’s why it’s expensive.
Dan at Chateau Charmont(Escape to Rural France) has the equipment and is making his own frames for his renovations. Billy Petherick works with a skilled carpenter.
Dan at Château Charmont had his tools sponsored, it might be worth reaching out to him. He’s also learning how to use all of these machines, you guys could probably make a great video together for both channels if sponsorship inquiry’s don’t work out. Just an idea

Ceramic tile is rarely completely flat from my experience, but it can still turn out beautiful, and no one can tell the difference. It is always best to get all walls and ceilings primed after having sanded them, as the porous nature of the taping cement will absorb ambiant moisture and produce unwanted shrinkage. You’re doing a fine job of it all.
Oh what a conundrum, but all things considered, you must keep the original door! I am sure you will find a way! ❤😊🇦🇺 My contribution will be watching all the ad's all the way through 😉

That unevenness just happens with large format tiles. It's called lippage. That's by installers lay them on the running bond or 1/3 to 2/3 layment. It lessens the lippage. The leveling spacers help too.
Im not used to laying big tiles like that and your point makes sense - they seem fine where I’ve layed them so I’m still happy, I suppose next time it won’t shock me!
@BordeauxLife research the offset installation. Lippage is a trip hazzard but, I prefer the look of the way you installed them. That bow in the edges middle is just inherent with the large format tiles.
To go with a new door would not be the end of the world. This is only a rental. I could understand it if it was the passion project. Don't stress about a fancy blue door that people are asking for. If you can't afford it, you can't afford it. We all have to live and work within our means. And it's tough for everyone at the moment. Keep up the good work. I can't wait to see what you come up with next. I will never forget when you showed us this house. I thought you had lost the plot. I should have known better. Your work is meticulous.
As what many others are saying, this is an investment property, to either rent out or sell. Whilst that door is beautiful, he could sell it and install a cheap one, even painting it the same shade of blue would look lush. Paying for top of the range tools is not something i'll be doing.
You can basically use a plunge router with a jig to completely substitute a planer. Also the planer in your buymeacoffee page has very short in- and outfeed tables which makes it hard to get the wood 100%.
People watch these chateaus and their owners working hard for different reasons , some of us are learning, some are intrigued , some are lonely and you allow us to enter into your homes, whatever the reason is we all know that you support these projects with the viewers is TH-cam. This is hard work to make a living and we should be respectful and understanding.

It is a big heavy door. You would need at least one if not 2 helpers, 2 tall ladders. A means to get it to the house to get everything level and true so door will swing and close easily. Depending on cost, I would go with a good contractor. Floor looks great.
Festool is one of the top of the line woodworking tools. A tablesaw, planer, router table, and Hepa vacuum sawdust extraction system are four of the most needed tools in a woodworking shop. The festool chop saw (1500.00$ US) is also required in the shop. Festool domino jig for assembling the door frame. Numerous clamps, festool clamp/work table, misc sanders, sustainer boxes/kits for various power/hand tools..... my 60 years in homebuilding/remodeling Bosch was my choice as a- top brand. At 80, still have 10 inch portable table saw and 12 inch chop saw. Very reliable and less than half price of Festool. Always wanted Festool brand , not something that I would use out on jobs. Definately shop tools of high quality. As to the doorframe, it will be interested in watching videos of woodworking, and your increasing knowledge of woodworking/shop use. From Oregon, USA, go with the blue door!
Dan Preston has lots of machines. Phil has lots of experience. Billy has had a lot of windows and doors done. What do they suggest (Im sure youve asked I just want to know their suggestions.
Dan Preston has a lot of interesting machinery at Chaumont I wonder if you asked him maybe he would help you build the frame for your door maybe he knows how to and can help you build it. He has all kinds of specialist equipment it would save you the cost. It's a thought He has friends you could stay with I am sure take a few days. Otherwise the only other is Chateau du Theil in Ussel has a few brilliant talented folk over there sure if you asked they might help you they have all kinds of equipment and skill sets. Another channel that may be able to help is ' Broad_Maker' and they are closer to you in Bordeaux. I am sure you can learn it on your own but making new friends is sometimes useful if you supply the materials. The floors look great I think it will settle the bumps maybe it's the cold weather and no heating inside makes the tiling grout funny or the heating elements. Will you be using this tile for the splashback in the kitchen or something else? Look forward to seeing the end results of the floor hoping they will settle on their own. Well done Edd and Anna :)

It’s a two way street. Many of the channels do indeed provide a level of reciprocity to each other, Ed would probably excel at such an arrangement.

Rent the machines don't buy. Look for trade schools not a individual. Call Stan on Muckey Mansion bet he could do it.

@elizabethjohnson4006 all Ed needs us the tools and Dan has them. Ed could travel to Dan's with the door and the measurements and probably knock it out in a day. It's a community of ex-pats. And when the time comes, Ed may be able to help Dan when and he needs with the interiors.
