This is Likely the heaviest One Yet. Aggression of Asami's Voice the Thump of the Guitar riffage is Pure Heavy Thrash. And then the dissonant scales in the lead work is just brilliant. Heavy AF.
When I heard this song for the first time, I had the same surprises and impressions as you. But that surprise is now a thing of the past. Why? ... You can understand it by listening to "Soldier Stands Solitarily". (I'm looking forward to Miyako's piano solo album, which will be released in June.)
Great reaction guys ! The Ladies of Lovebites getting better and better every new album. Nice old school thrash and heavy metal style. For me it is already the album of the year.
I grew up on old school thrash and this kick ass. Haruna kills it here. Asami's vocals are stronger on this album and work great on this track. As always, guitar and bass are killer.
Like your guy's graphics. All the songs on this new album are good. I suggest - We are The Resurrection, Judgement Day, My Orion, Stand and Deliver, Soldier Stands Solitarily.
Asami said in a recent interview that the songs were deliberately composed to feature the new bassist. But this was well before the bassist was actually chosen. They were already consciously aware that the new bassist would be both under scrutiny but also they were confident that whoever they chose would shine. Even they were not prepared for Fami! She made modest modifications to the bass lines already laid down by Miyako as a guide, but next album I can’t even begin to imagine what she will do because the band as a whole is now two levels of difficulty higher up the musical evolutionary ladder than Electric Pentagram (and one level above Glory, Glory to the World).
They will need to add some diversity to the next album. JD is basically a lot of fast songs. Orion is the only song that has a slower pace. Next would be Stand and Deliver. I like a mix of fast and slow stuff. I like songs like Frozen Serenade. So I hope Lovebites mixes it up on the next one. I like everything they do. I like the fast stuff too, but I prefer a mix of different styles. Lovebites does amazing ballads. I want to hear more.
I suspect the next step in the evolution (note, NOT revolution !) is more prog elements while maintaining the pace, heavy riffs / licks and melodic lines like Dystopia Symphony and Lost in the Garden. This will also allow for more innovative bass playing from Fami. Anyway, just speculation
@@TheCyberMantis the all out attack was a deliberate album choice. There are still 5 songs with great melody. They know what they’re doing. They’re not just going to repeat JD even faster (I doubt even they could manage it). I agree, more prog and probably some direct classical tie ins because Miyako’s contribution always reflects her classical upbringing.
Once Fami starts writing her own bass lines Lovebites will become a tech-death band LOL! Honestly I can't imagine what it will be like. And personally I don't mind a lot of fast bangers. But I too prefer a more balanced album! /Andrei
great to see you reacting to them again, gheorge and andrei. cause I love LB and your reactions and editing are always so good. the new album also is made upon the lovebites-maxime "no fillers, no mediocre or stale songs!". the result: an album full of favourite lovebite songs. and some songs are even better than this one here. stay metal, henry
I wait with baited breath for seeing your reaction to “Soldier Stands Solidarity”. But I will also really enjoy your gradual progress towards it because the album is a masterpiece.
Sure this song has feelings. The feelings of anger at being gypped when paying a psychiatrist to resolve issues of depression caused by listening to Pink Floyd Comfortably Numb. Psychiatrists can't fix that.
@@thewindmillfullovcorpses Even though your question wasn't directed at me, I'd like to point you to the beginning of my own comment (the one below Faisol Hamdi Isa's comment, when shown in chronological order), in which I wrote that music-wise, this song crosses the border between Thrash and Death Metal. Asami's vocals are, of course, not Death Metal, but the riffing (or at least parts of it) and the drumming remind me of Death. Out of Death's two albums I'm most familiar with ("Leprosy" and "Spiritual Healing"), I'd pick the song "Primitive Ways" for reference. If someone has a better example, I'm open to suggestions. The sound of "Dissonance" is not yet as brutal as the sound on Death's album "Leprosy", but I'm curious how "Dissonance" will sound live, especially bearing in mind how much heavier the live version of "Break the Wall" from 2020 sounded compared to the studio version.
@@MissLoonasSpeech Oh yeah, "crosses the border" is certainly the way to put it in this case! You my friend, are the epitome of linguistic accuracy hehe. /Andrei
Yeaaaaah, pretty sure that's actually Haruna on the bell of a cymbal, but the visual effect was too fun not to put in the video! While there is an informative element to our channel, that was NOT IT! / George
One of my fav from their new album. 🤘🐺🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Oh damn, we really gotta reach Stand and Deliver and Soldier Stands Solitarily, they're the most requested from the new album. /Andrei

If a thrasher loves it, and us non-thrashers love it, it's the ultimate thrash metal song! /Andrei
Wait until you hear the title of this album "soldier stands solitarily" it's the best track in Lovebites discography.
It's good, but not my favorite.
SSS and dystopia symphony their two best
If this track, make it on "Guitar Hero" your Playstation calls Amnesty International! Lovebites nailed it again! 🤘🐺🤘
The most talented band on earth! Right boys? Just say it...
hehehehe... hehehe... hehe... he... I don't wanna. /Andrei
It's interesting how they react every time :).
Lovebites give me hope for the future

Yes, speed is a feeling. And a kind of drug.
Good reaction . Judgment day album is a masterpiece🤘🔥🎤🎸🥁
Thank you!

We will get to that one eventually! It's hard reaching all the requests. /Andrei
🐺🤘🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
The same riff from 1:12 - 1:32 and before the end of the song , really reminds me Infernal Death
I always enjoy watching good reaction.
I'm a Lovebites fan in Japan🇯🇵, but by all means,
Please react to Love Bites' Soldier Stands Solitarily
🤟
You guys are awesome! Another great reaction. 😂

great reaction! lovebites!!

This song isn't a pure thrash anymore. It has reached the border of death metal.
This makes us (at least) two who think so here.
Is it death metal without growls? It maybe hits the riffage in that direction but the voice and drum pacing is still pure thrash to me. /Andrei

Tere is a slight element an old thash band called DRI. From the very late eighties early ninties. Maybe a little before your time guys.
Never heard of them. Should give them a shot! / George
Soundtrack for the next Mad Max sequel
I suggest you don't play this one whilst driving. Unless you're in a race that is. ☺

Recomended , cover of the Song "Painkiller" of Judas Priest
@@traderjays7632 Also, it's very good
Fami Fami Fami!
We are the resurrection is my favorite track
How about a full album review from track 1, We Are the Resurection
And this isn't the faster song of the album! Thanks.
5:34 🤣🤣
damn.. riff's sounds like black metal!
It could border on that too. Very constant and blasty! Mix is much better than in black metal tho!
Now, Nemophila, Rise!
Getting' there. /Andrei
While Asami is a great percussionist, and could if she wanted to, I'm pretty sure she didn't play the triangle on this track. :)

We're twin brothers! /Andrei
@@thewindmillfullovcorpses I thought so. 😉
To me, this song has a bit of a black metal vibe (musically, not vocally of course).
I don't hear black metal... do you listen to black metal? /Andrei
I could say something about thrash metal, but I won't 😏
I expect it would have been a a pun involving a similar word? /Andrei
