Hey Liszthesis, just want to say, thank you so much for creating this and putting it out here. I literally adore this piece a lot, and fell in love with it as soon as I discovered Leslie Howard's performance of this piece years ago. Before this, I looked everywhere for the sheet music, for years, and it was something I could never find; your creation of this was literally the panacea for all my troubles regarding this piece. Right now, I'm proud to say, that - using yours and mendes' video as a guide - I've almost finished working on this piece, just 30 seconds away from the finish line, at the pure octaves section... (though getting it to performance standard is another thing altogether!). Looking back, this was the hardest (and painful!) piece I've ever tackled in my life!! And I have played pieces like Chopin's Ballade 4, Alkan's 30 ans and Festin d'esope, Liszt's Robert le Diable etc, prior to this...My hands literally got calluses from learning this piece, and were even bleeding along the way, but all this was worth it. It's a wonderful piece and it will always remain special to me. Thanks a lot for working on a project like that, and putting it right here!
Good luck on attempting to perform this such crazy and extraordinary and insanely difficult work!!! I'm very glad to be your inspiration :D May I and everyone have a chance to see your performance if you finish learning this piece? It would be very nice! And yeah this piece is a freaking hell complication of craziest techniques every written for the piano repertoire lol: crazy jumps, restless octaves, hand crossing etc., this piece litterally was written to kill pianists lol :P please don't injure yourself hehe
