I admire how you thoughtfully identify what your kids would want/use or Christmas. We fell into trap of giving my son so much stuff that he didn't appreciate most of it and was generally overwhelmed.

You put so much thought into your children's gifts! I do not understand how anyone could have anything nasty to say about that! Another thing I feel like people don't think about is how all the kids will share their gifts. Like with my kids, they will each get a few gifts, but then they will share with eachother and have tons to do together.

Hi Jackie, I don't often comment on your videos, except when we were both pregnant around the same time when you had baby 5. Anyhow, I just wanted to say that I love your videos and have watched them for years. I think your gifts are always truly meaningful. I grew up with a very materialistic parent who still to this day will make mean and nasty comments about what I choose to give my kids for Christmas in front of and around my kids, said person is always telling them they need more. Don't let anybody crush your beautiful heart and spirit, know that people who truly watch your channel love you and appreciate what you do.

Awesome ideas. I put practical stuff in the stockings also, like toothpaste, shampoo, hair stuff and then a small toy.

I don't have kids, but when I stumbled onto your video, I decided to watch it anyway. It was the one where you showed what you got your kids for Christmas. I really enjoyed it, so I came back for this one as well. I'm sorry that there are people out there who feel like they have to be ugly. Christmas is about Christ, not gifts. Keep doing what you're doing, and don't give the haters another thought. They are not worth it!

I love the practical sides of the gifts. Growing up on the farm in NZ my mum gave us "practical Santa" which I can tell you now by no means takes away from the joy and magic of Christmas spirit. Our stockings would be full of things to keep us occupied during road trips and school holidays such as: mini art kits, a colouring book, road games, puzzles, one DVD each, maybe a book - those are just some of the things we would get from time to time. There might also be something hygienic such as a fun roll on Christmas soap, or new animal looking toothbrush, or a sparkly brush and hairties. If needed you could even find a pair of socks or undies. Under the tree was ONE special santa gift each or together which were again either practical OR family gifts. When we were younger they were gifts such as little board games each to play as a family like connect four, guess who, kids monopoly etc. As we got older it would become one gift to share as a family. An example of a practical santa gift under the tree was our gorgeous Winnie the Pooh Minky blankets for our beds, or fun lampshades for our room to go with our book in the stocking - I remember mine being tweety bird haha. One yr as a family gift it was a sprinkler, then there was a trampoloine, another ps2, another waterslides, another singstar etc. All in all while I am listing a lot of stuff here these happened over many years. You had one santa gift and just a few things in the stocking (not usually treats because there were so many to have over Christmas anyway) and then a fun gift from the parents/sibling :D I don't think people need to go over board. Now, my hubby and I as we expect our first have spoken about also implementing practical santa to help us navigate holidays and allow for humble gratitude :)

I feel like you do, you are a wonderful mom, and are such a wonderful example to your children, I’m sorry that there are so many mean people in the world today. Thank you for sharing what your children are getting for Christmas. I hope you start feeling better, also Happy Thanksgiving to your sweet family 🍁🦃❤

Don't let anyone break your joy. Your gifts were awesome and catered to YOUR kids and THEIR LIKES! One of those people that was on your page being rude was on other people's, "what I got my kids for Christmas" pages talking the same crap. Some people are just plain rude and that gives them joy. Listen, Jesus was perfect and even HE had haters! You keep being the great proactive mother you are and dont let anyone steal your shine!!! My kids dont remember the expensive gifts they get but they do remember all the time and love their father and I put into them! All that materialistic stuff doesn't matter when you leave this earth its the difference you make in others lives! So go let her stand in the mall shopping line to get her kids those $300 shoes or games just so they can be thrown to the side a month later meanwhile your kids will be playing with their stuff knowing their worth! Have a wonderful MERRY CHRISTMAS and keep inspiring us mommas

I love the candy cane filled with candy. Growing up that’s what I remember getting and sometimes those chocolate coins. I agree that it’s enough as well. Love how thought out your choices were for all the kiddos!

I just watched your last video and people were annoying me i clicked this one so I won't say something inappropriate 😅. Anyway i think what you do/ trying to do is awesome. I have 4 very grateful kids we make do on so little, anything they get, they are happy with. One year only stocking stuffers. One year one gift and one sibling gift. It varies but they have never gotten more than 4 gifts that didn't include clothes. We don't get gifts from others. Sometimes they get little treats/stocking stuffers from our church.❤

I just found your channel! I am a homeschool mother of five (plus we have four babies in heaven waiting for us). This was the first video I came upon, and when I was listening to your introduction about the bad comments you received on your other video about the Christmas gifts, I popped over there to watch that first. Thankfully, I was too late to see any of the bad comments, but I just want to say I’m SO sorry that that happened to you! You put so much love and thought into all of your children’s gifts! I love that you get them pajamas each year. I remember that when I was growing up that whenever we came home from Christmas Eve Mass, my parents always had our new pajamas sitting on our beds! As much as we could, we always stuck to the three present limit for our children’s gifts. We always told them that if it was good enough for Jesus, it’s good enough for them ha ha. That being said, some of their gifts would have several parts to them (like what you did for your oldest son with his art supplies). But generally we’ve tried to stick to the three present rule ever since they were little. They always get plenty of other gifts from extended family, so they definitely are never deprived! I just wanted to encourage you and tell you that I really am enjoying your channel and can’t wait to see your next video and catch up on your older videos! Happy Thanksgiving, and Merry Christmas! 🥰🎄🥰🎄

I’m sorry you got comments that were unkind!! We don’t do many gifts at our house either and have done it for YEARS!! My kiddos love it! My kids get one gift from Santa, one gift from mom and dad and one gift from a sibling! They also get a stocking but the stocking is from mom and dad not Santa! Then the next year we go on a family vacation somewhere fun and they will get to get a souvenir there. Kids don’t need lots of things to feel loved and appreciated! My kids also get things just because it’s a “Tuesday” so they DEFINITELY don’t go without! I love that you do what is great for your family and don’t let the haters get you down or even frustrated!! ❤️❤️❤️

I usually try add a gift card in each of my girls stockings to their favorite place to eat so they're "buying" it themselves lol. They enjoy it. Also. I usually try to make it more practical items like new gloves & beanies for winter, chapstick. A little candy not a ton, a new set of earrings is a tradition! ❤
Thank you for your Christmas videos. I love it. ❤️

If it were up to my husband our kids wouldn’t get any presents, he’s very against making presents the center of Christ’s celebration. I think I bring a good balance between making Jesus the reason for the season and presents to make it special for our little ones. I’ve really enjoyed your series of Christmas present videos so far 😊

I’m sorry you got flack. I haven’t seen that video or the comments but it’s never okay to be mean about people’s choices for their children. We don’t do a lot of presents (we try to the follow the wear, want, read, need), Santa has only ever brought one gift each to my kids and everything else is always from family. We want our focus to be Christ and loving our family time.

I absolutely loved your gift video! It was a great reminder that kids don’t need a bunch of gifts, they need us! They need our time and our love. Keeping Christmas centered around our Savior’s birth, is the best gift of all! He gave us the gift of eternal life and we should all strive to be Christ like and show everyone around us love like He loves us. I’m so sorry that you had to experience mean comments. We will be praying for those people.

People are so cruel , why do we have to measure our love with how spoilt our kids are. As long as they are save , have a roof over their heads, loving parents and food on the table I will say they are the luckiest kids in the world, people who leave comments like that are just jealous, it’s a pity we can’t just delete them 😂😂❤❤❤❤
