Good to see a video from round 1 I ended up breaking my leg in 3 places after lap 1. 2 surgeries a rod from my knee to my ankle a plate and 6 screws were on the road to recovery!! Can’t wait to get back on the bike!
Heal Quickly ! My first hare scramble at 18, got the hole shot, led the race for 1/2 hour until I tried to fly across a 12ft wide river gully. Crashed, tried to crawl into the weeds, but it only took one of the 286 riders behind me to ride over my ankle accidently and break it in three pieces. Thankfully it healed properly and I raced for 5 years after that before retiring . It very rarely gives me problems. Hope your recovery goes well.
A video I got first one, I love your content, you’ve inspired me to start riding, I actually got my first pit bike a few weeks ago. Keep up the great work
Mate absolutely loved this video. Well done! Felt like I was riding it, leaning into the corners ! Loved your commentary. Pity you got hurt, hope you recover quick and get back into it. Keep riding!
Love your videos you hammer down I've watched you for at least 8 years now haha. You and Tom or whoever should do some laid back trail riding sometime I'm sure your busy with all the races tho have fun and stay safe have a great year!!!!
First off, thank god the hare scrambles are back. Second, hope you recover quickly, that is a massive bruise! Thinking your suspension is a little soft for the high speed stuff, looks like a combo of bad weight position and a soft front end sent you packing! Ride safe, ride fast!
Well said, I was going to say that his suspension seems a lil soft in his last video he uploaded. i have the exact same problem with my klx230. absolutely sucks that he wiped out though, get well soon zach!
@@krazed0451 true, i swore he had two bikes with different set ups, one for hard enduro and one for hare scrambles. He also did mention he was “stackin” this winter lmao, weight difference is huge, i found that out when i lost weight!
Zach, I love the videos. I recently destroyed my knee while getting use to my new dual sport bike. It is nice to have something to watch while I am laid up.
Man, I love your videos! Great riding and even better commentary! Do you have a video on your gopro setup? I see on some of your posts on Instagram it looks like your using a hero4 but this appears to have image stabilization. Are you using a chin mount? Great content, dude!!
I always hated the aa start when i spent some time in that class. Everyone is going 110% in the first 10 mins, trying to kill everyone, my arms pump up and then i wont hold pace, rough lol. Last half of the race is where i always made my moves
I had almost the exact same injury in the same way in Nov last year. My big purple and yellow bruise was higher on my ass but basically the same. Took a couple months before I could move normally.
I hear you on the track design. At jday we have 600-800 riders racing all day on a 4-7 min loop. There absolutely is a ton of science designing courses to flow and be wide enough, fast enough, to handle the traffic
My friend is recovering from a very similar bruised left cheek from a wheelie fail on a 01 yz250 ,I told him his butt looked broken there's a big crack in it 😆
Hey Zach, I wrecked in the same spot, I knew there was good grip at the bottom of that mud, like the hard pan, so I would go pretty fast through it, I went through the dip, and caught a little air, next thing I knew my bike was like a frisbee and I was hitting the ground! Knee pad moved and knee hit first, bike was on it's side, throttle wide open. My knee I thought might be bleeding but my hip and lower back was pinching, pain was worse than the knee, anyway almost identical I was telling myself I have to finish the lap and pull off, every bump is killing me, knee was numb, thought about continuing but couldn't. Whole left leg is swollen and black and blue, worked all week on it and now my foot and toes are black and blue and knee is still messed up , leg still swollen, almost 2 weeks now! How's your leg doing?
Glad you're OK man. That looks painful and it could've been much worse. Rayce took a shot like that last year during an event and he still has a small crater in his thigh from where the bruise was. Heal up buddy!
That bruise made my leg tingle, good chance of slight concussion also bro. You where doing great until that incident. I think the change in line you made because of the slower rider may of contributed. As they say... If you don't fall of you're dirt bike occasionally, your not trying.
It does sound just a bit off as you get to wide open throttle especially when you come off the throttle and get back on it in the to end revs try moving the needle Netra Catra black fly coming up I've never been able to feel good at that place
My buddy used to race MX and was telling me how EZ a scramble would be 😆 that bike was dragging him after the 1/2 way point. Sorry you got hurt brother it comes with the territory I guess.
I broke my leg in my last harescramble just a few weeks ago due to my throttle sticking wide open going up a rough hill sending me straight into a massive bolder pile.
Does anyone know if every single one of these videos he talks through? It's like watching motorcycle videos while a used car salesman talks to you the whole time
Almost 100% of the time when my suspension feels like it's beating me up it's because I'm going too slow especially on the 2 stroke. Most suspension demands to be pushed to work well and make the bike geometry do what it's designed for.
Obviously just an opinion. But next time ur racing fast pace stuff. Possibly try going in a few clicks all the way around. Seems on camera anyway. To be soft compression and fast rebound. Maybe just a tad soft highspeed on the shock. Write ur changes down since u like the softer setup for hard enduro. That’s typically my changes for switching back and forth.
By far the best narration of an xc race ever !!!!!
😂😂😂😂😂
Keep the harescramble videos coming! Glad your ok.
Zach is not the fastest diet bike racer, but he is the best dirt bike you tuber.
i love that you messaged that guy to ask if he was ok, and if it was your fault…
you’re a good man 👍
I love hare scrambles so much more entertaining then hard enduros imo
That 4 stroke comment just killed me. You had one of the top 4 stroke race bikes there is. Great video Z
Man, you guys were FLYING!! Love the channel. Great videos!

I'll salute anyone who enters an NYOA race on a 1980's honda XL
Yoooo i got a 1986 honda 250 fourtrax i wanna race that at seneca highlands
As always... Great video and narration. Better luck next race.

Maybe he needs a set of hare scramble springs to compliment his hard enduro springs, lol

Great video, thank you, be careful, that's going to hurt for a while.
This track was amazing and love seeing the harescramble videos
Hey you gonna be racing tomorrow at broom Tioga??
Nice ride💪
Zach, I love the videos. I recently destroyed my knee while getting use to my new dual sport bike. It is nice to have something to watch while I am laid up.
Was glad to see you lined up hopefully you hit more this year
Braaaap ! Thanks for the video, brings back memories of racing thru the woods 45 years ago. Back then hs was more extreme enduro than cross country.
Great stuff, Zach! Heal up well.
Great video. Your commentary is awesome. You're a riot!
@3:20 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Im doing this hare scramble sunday. first timer. great video
PI want to see you ride across creek that flooded a couple years ago! Snow is fun to ride in! But there is no berm, because the snow slides away!!
Looked like a brutal crash at speed! Glad no serious injured from it. Nasty bruise!!!
Hi thanks for a awesome video sorry about your leg looks bad but it's what keeps you going
Wow that crash was a suprise, glad your Ok in the long run. Awesome racing, hope to see more soon. 😃👍
Glad your back racing them

i race harescramble in Canada and in 2019 i made the change from 2T to 4T...best choice i made even if i didn't like it at the begining.

do you plan on coming to the black fly harescramble at catra in new york this weekend?
i just got the new 2022 kx 250x and its awesome!! I definitely recommend it
Heal up, Zach!
I wonder if you would be more comfortable on the bike if your dropped the forks in the triple clamps a few millimeters
Jeez, that course is FAST.
Ouch man that's a gnarly bruise
That is a monster bruise!
My friend is recovering from a very similar bruised left cheek from a wheelie fail on a 01 yz250 ,I told him his butt looked broken there's a big crack in it 😆
Watching your videos got me to do some nyoa races. I love the speed and flow compared to the netra single track

Miss these vids!
Suspension is set up for hard enduro I am thinking so not so comfortable in the high speed sections.
Glad your ok that was gnarly! That being said NETRA/CATRA black fly is sunday???!!!!!
Glad you're OK man. That looks painful and it could've been much worse. Rayce took a shot like that last year during an event and he still has a small crater in his thigh from where the bruise was. Heal up buddy!
NETRA Enduro in Assonet/ Freetown MA coming up 05/22. I know Tom has raced it previously, if you want some tight rocky stuff come on down
That bruise made my leg tingle, good chance of slight concussion also bro. You where doing great until that incident. I think the change in line you made because of the slower rider may of contributed. As they say... If you don't fall of you're dirt bike occasionally, your not trying.
Nasty bruise! At least it wasn't an impact directly on your hip joint.
Great video mr atk1
On that crash Zach: dang you were doing so well! Sorry that happened! You were ripping up until then...
Glad you’re ok. 4 Strokes came to EAT!
I cracked a couple ribs last Monday on my Honda, I know the pain
It does sound just a bit off as you get to wide open throttle especially when you come off the throttle and get back on it in the to end revs try moving the needle

Is the video jumping or my internet? but love watching your videos.
What is this race called I live in upstate New York and I want to try this
New York ?!?!?!
The happiest day of a Floridians life is the day his neighbor moves back to New York.
LOL
I broke my leg in my last harescramble just a few weeks ago due to my throttle sticking wide open going up a rough hill sending me straight into a massive bolder pile.
4 Stroke Nation!
Get a TM300 4-stroke and tell us how it is. I would love to own one but I think it's better I stick with the 2-strokes
SHERCO 350
@@crashalexander7232 Sherco has a 300 4-stroke
@@MichaelAbramo oh you didnt hear the news?
Come back for round 2
That's the kind that soon as you stop and cool down it's way worse
Man I would love to rip my 2018 390 RRS on those trails!
I'm like it cant be that bad I'm sorry ouch!!!
You need a 350 xcf, hardscramble monster.
Does anyone know if every single one of these videos he talks through? It's like watching motorcycle videos while a used car salesman talks to you the whole time

Ouchy! Mom!
Will you be racing the ne24hr race?
Well I can’t unsee that!LMAO
bro that was 1 hell of a bruise
i was the kid on the suzuki that passed you before 16:46
begging you to race round 2!!
Yay!! Hare Scramble video! :)
boo! You crashing :(
Oh man! That’s an angry looking bruise! Looks like you got kicked by a horse…a very big horse.
it took t long t start i left see you next race
Do you run a stock carb or a lectron
That was me stalled out in the creek 😂 sorry about that 🤪
@18:29 all I could think of was the United colours of Benetton 🫤
Just from the videos it looks like at the higher speed your rebound is a little fast for the whoops
"I'm good...aaaaaaaaah"
Suspension looks hacked

You need to go ride with Brandon Price
Number 13 that passed you at 11:30 is on a 125 in aa
Nice riding until "it" started to swell up. Lol. I think you had a little too much throttle in slippery whoops, kicked bike sideway when wheel spin .
Someone tell Charlie his horse got out
Go to IMI Motorsports Complex in colorado
I loved it xD 🥂🧐🤨✋😏
Time for a 350 xcf 😜💪
350 OR 390 RE CALL IT A DAY...
430 IF YOU CAN HANG ON AND 480 IF YOU JUST LIKE PAIN.....
I've had 450 and 350. 350 imo is the money spot for power and usability. Love it
Suspension looks too soft.
You need to try get yourself to the Roof of Africa. You would absolutely love it.
