Hope you enjoy this little unboxing, and swatching of the Derwent's line and wash paint pan set. I couldn't wait to use it and share it so my review isn't as in depth as it could be, but hope you get a pretty good idea of the colours and see how quick out the box you can use them. Also happy thanksgiving to my American viewers!
Natasha I have just got this set myself and it's really lovely in reality,I think it would be a great addition for your travel kit. I have all the inktense pan and graphitint sets Derwent have realsed so far and I really love them and they are great for mixed media work. But there are definitly some "Natasha colours" in this set for sure. (matt)
Love your channel which I am subscribed, have remembered to hit the 👍🏻 and have the bell notifications turned to on! I just want to say keep up the amazing videos! You fill me with inspiration and I to say thank you for sharing your artistic talents! Well wishes for continued success and keep the wonderful videos coming.👩🏻🎨🎨💕
Great video Mel, and just what I needed to sit down and listen to after a busy weekend, so calming! Your sketches are gorgeous as always! I have a set of inktense paints, I used them quite a lot in my sketchbook when I got them, love the vibrant colours.
Thanks Clare, appreciate that! I saw from IG that you were in Cornwall, hope you all enjoyed your time away too. I really am enjoying these Inktense paints they seem have such a smooth feel to them too.
Great timing with this great little video!,I just got this set myself,I have purchased all the inktense paint pan sets thet have released so far. I love the mix of bright and muted colours in this set and I love they mixed the Inktense and Graphitint in this set. They relased a 24 inktense pan set that has a really unusual set of colours too and I also just got a set of 12 metallic inktense pans set too which has some lovely rich colours in it. The sets they have created in the inktense pan sets feel like they are a curated set as the colour choices are realy unusual. I love that you created a little triptych in your sketchbook capturing the lovely autumn colours in the landscape close to where you live. These sets are a great compliment to the inktense pencils and inktense blocks as well and work well with these too. Derewent do make a better water brusj that has pushbuttons to use it which gives you more control and is weighted well. I think in these pan sets they have colours that are not in the pencils,so you have more colurs in the inktense rnge to work with. These sets are neatly compact and are great on the go medium/tool. These set really encourage colour mixing,as you do so brilliiantly in this video. The line markers are a great addition to this set too and are a great way to enhance the painting you create with these colours. For mixed media work these inktense sets are great. and you showcase so well how this set can work. (matt) P.s there has been a delay with post in my town,so I only recieved a couple of days ago the little date stickers you created for your beautiful calendar, thank you,I loved the card you sent them in and have it up in my studio in a little frame. I hope you wil have recieved the liitle parcel I sent you,as a thank you for your wonderful calendar which I really love and also as a thank you for all the inspiraton I have gained from your realy insightful videos.
So glad to hear Matt. And wow what an investment! I can imagine you have some favourite colours from those sets. I have sent an email to say thanks for your parcel too! It was a lovely surprise to receive and very thoughtful. I did wonder if you used the metallic inktense paints for the work you painted too? Little Luna 3 propped up on my desk!
@@MelanieChadwick The metallics I used in the pieces I sent you in the parcel were actually from my collection of handmade watercolours from various sellers on etsy, I do love metallics in alll mediums. I am using the Derwent Inktense Metallic pan set at the moment in the pieces I'm creating for the "Huevember" challenge this year and also the lovely seawhite watercolour postcards you recommeneded in one of your videos. Thank you for your email too,the concertina sketchbook I sent you was also fom Seawhite.(matt)
Thank you very much for all your demonstration Sketches! I like your artwork (the middle Sketch is ready in 7.20 :-) in my oppinion) and also your filming work on your Channel. There are so many inspiring Sketch Walk Tours. This warm derwent colour Palette looks beautiful and interesting. I think I will buy it with your Amazon link, because I cant find this one in my hometown, germany. Do you know, that Cornwall was also on my Holiday list in 2019 because of your coast path Tours? I visit the beautiful minack theatre and like very much the St.Michaels Mount with this special Garden and atmosphere.
That's really wonderful to hear, and glad that Cornwall made your holiday list for 2019. Those places are beautiful to visit! Thanks for your support and comment too, if you get the palette I'm sure you will enjoy using it.
Thanks Laura! Yes, this is why I was so intrigued by them, I really like using the pencils wet, and the layers you can build, as they aren't opaque, they are producing interesting results and like you say they do behave in a way similar to copic markers.

Thanks Deborah you're welcome. You should definitely in your new sketchbook, take some time out and have some fun playing!
That was very relaxing to watch!
Glad you enjoyed it and it was relaxing!

Just right! Thanks
You're welcome, thanks Deb
Beautiful, Melanie! I thought they would look like watercolour, but I think your painting looks like it could have been done in copics!

I really don’t “need” anymore watercolors but this is a lovely set of colors!
haha! yes, although you could say these aren't technically watercolours!!
What sketchbook are you using here? I'm looking for one that handles watercolor well!
It's a Moleskine, perfect for watercolour and mixed media amzn.to/3PZasVM
@@MelanieChadwick I watched this video over and over, and finally bought the paint set! 😊I absolutely love it!
What sketchbook is that please?
It's a moleskine
Are the line markers black or brown? They seem to be both art the same time😅
They are black :)
