She went back to her roots with some really sophisticated R&B, jazz/blues & soft rock arrangements of tunes from Adele, Chicago, Earth, Wind & Fire, etc... Mao was on piano, Hidehiro (Haruna's drum tech) was on drums, Araken (the guy who composed "Inspire" on Lovebites' first LP) was on guitar, and a bassist whom I'm not familiar with, plus 2 backup singers. She also had 2 special guests - Miho Terachi from the Jazz Avengers on Sax, and Ayasa from East of Eden on violin. I was at both sessions and they were worth every cent !
@@boyzyu Thanks for the report. I saw a pic of her team, and I recognized most of the people with her. An all-star ensemble. Asami really shines on those other styles of music. Like you said... her roots. Glad you got to see it. I wish I was there in the room for it. I know you feel the same way.
