We’ve faced 28 shots from fast breaks. 10 more than any other club. It’s a shame Nunes can’t play CDM as he seems quite speedy; top speed 35.4 km per hour
If you do not have the players to match the tactics then you must change tactics. The high line is setting us up for disaster every game we play. We have not really been good with this particular expression of high line all season.
Zubimendi is the one. We need someone like Rodri because that's how our team plays, and Zubimendi is the closest one to that, we saw it at the EUROS. If he doesn't wanna join then that's too bad. I still think it was a mistake not going for Guemarez in the summer, I was screaming "trigger that release clause" he was the perfect player that I would've happily paid 100M for him

I think too many people are overcomplicating everything, including Pep. Our biggest issue is our defense and a lot of that is due to how Pep is setting them up. To stem the leaking goals and because we dont have a ready made solution for the midfield, why not go back to what worked so well in the treble season: fortify our defensive acumen by playing a flat back 4 and dropping our absurdly high backline a bit? We did it to great effect vs RM at the Bernadeau and throughout the season when we played great counter attacking teams. Doing so would take some pressure off Ederson from having to save us all the time; help increase the confidence of the defense and potentially the midfield too so they wouldnt be second guessing themselves and more prone to mistakes. I would also posit that doing that could also help out attack too from a mental perspective bc they wouldnt be so anxious about what happens if they miss the shot like Haaland in that missed pen or a few of the missed sitters he has had. I think fortifying our defense with a flat back 4 and a lower backline could the whole team wonders as it could help really increase the confidence of every player for the reasons mentioned. We know this works, just look at the treble season. We also know not doing it problematic, just look at all of last season playing too high of a back line with WBs which allowed nearly every team we played to counter us down the flanks or even look at this season so far: counter us down the flanks or the center bc our midfield is non-existent and our backline to too far up the pitch. Am I wrong in this?
I've said the same for quite some time but recently I've been looking at our stats and while we've conceded the most fast breaks (Which must be fixed) out of all teams, We've actually only conceded 1 more goal than we did last season same time, but we've scored 15 less. We're not creating enough chances, Nobody is taking risks and we're underperforming on XG, which is unheard of when you talk about us. I'm afraid this problem is alot more "complicated" than just our defensive errors and lack of legs in themidfield. Last season and in the first half of the treble season we were struggling in the defence aswell - Difference is nobody remembers it because we scored goals. Alot of them. I think letting Alvarez go and mixing that with a Foden out of form and a injured kdb might have a way bigger influence than most of us would like to admit - those 3 players provided with over 80 g/a last season.
@@HerbalMCFC I agree with a lot of that, but I really wonder what kind of deleterious effect our inability to defend is having on the rest of the team? To your point, it is like they are terrified to make a mistake and lose possession bc when they do, the midfield gets overrun and the defense, too high up the pitch, is caught out and then there is a distinct possibility to concede a goal. I would also think that during the 1st half of the treble season, the rest of the team was not terrified about missing chances or losing possession, which probably aided in their ability to score so much. Remember, the pressure NOT to make a mistake is far different than the consequences of actually making a mistake, especially, when there is trust in your midfield and defense, which I would argue, the attack has ZERO confidence in. This all brings me back to Pep being the root cause. We all know that we do not have the players to execute a 3-1-6 formation, yet Pep continues with it, so much so, that he now has 4 straight losses playing it and slight variations of it. For me, until Pep, at a min, fortifies that defensive structure and drop the backline a bit, we will continue to struggle all over the pitch and drop points. Now, IF he goes to a back 4 and drops the backline for a few games and there are fewer defensive chances given up for goals BUT we still have a major issue scoring, then we could assume it is really not a function of the defense, but something deeper. I agree with you too about not bringing in any backup striker to Haaland. Idiocy at its finest in my eyes. TBF, i think the recent transfer windows have been poor in strategy and I hope they will now course-correct. How are you feeling about Sat vs Spurs? If Pep doesnt change anything, and given how good Spurs are on the counter along with how poor we have been, it could be a very long day. Praying Pep makes a few adjustments
We’ve played our best football with Dias/Stones, Rodri, KDB, Haaland. All 5 are struggling with injuries, so we’ve completely lost the spine of our team, once we get that back (with a substitute for Rodri) I don’t see why we won’t go back to playing our best football
Lavia and Liam Delap were already made backups for those crucial positions. We should trust our academy more because now they seem like ready made PL players
@kumarbhargabkalita6798 couldn't agree more! I think that was what made him move and seek first team opportunities else where, and Delap is going to be some player, what a well rounded striker who can do everything.
@@adrianbennett3761 even during their time with the EDS it wasn't hard to tell that they are PL quality. The EDS and Academy have been dominating England's Youth football. McAtee, Delap, Lavia, Lewis, Bobb, Palmer, Trafford were all part of those teams
Mediocrity and a lack of pace in the 6,8,10, positions are blunting our attack and leaving our defence naked. This video, and valuable stats, were right on point.
I won't complain about the future work that Hugo, Ferran and Pep will do... this is certainly certain... with the exit of Txixi and the entry of Hugo we would be different regarding the various future horizons on the market coups that we will sign... We will be more flexible... and we will give more importance to the youth sector... filling it with future hidden gems!
We don't know for sure if the club will make any transfer moves... if we sign already in January... the actual restyling... we will implement it at the end of the season... during the next summer transfer window! Zubimendi, Ederson and Ricci are excellent players... I can say in this regard that I know the last two well... knowing Serie A well... both are crucial for their respective teams... Atalanta is an ambitious team for several years now... and with the philosophy of their coach... Giampiero Gasperini... and their president Percassi... they have managed to build a perfect machine in Italy and also in Europe... every player there. .. makes a leap in quality... Torino... is a growing team... also inspired by the Atalanta model... in recent years they have managed to make new talents explode (Bremer today at Juventus, Buongiorno today at Napoli) and is strongly cultivating Ricci and Coco... in my personal opinion... all three are ready for a big leap... Ederson with Brazil and Atalanta in Europe... Zubimendi with Spain and Real Sociedad in Europe... they are more ready than to Ricci... although the one who gives me the most vibes is precisely the latter... who is a cornerstone of the Italian national team of the present and future! For the rest great quality as always buddy 🩵💙💪👊... you always manage to make yourself unique... keep it up man 🩵💙💪👊!
Backups needed for Haaland and Rodri (who might not be back to his best for possibly 18 months). A fast CDM or defender is needed if we continue to play such a high line. Really missing the goals of Alvarez, so another young prospect that can score goals would be ideal
@ We’ve conceded 11 goals while Liverpool and Forest have conceded 6 and 7 respectively. Keep going behind and giving ourselves a mountain to climb. It’s OK when you’re scoring goals for fun but we’re not.
At this point, we better off parking the bus and counter-attacking, like teams do to us. Haaland, Savio, Nunes and Doku all have pace and would have a field time exploiting those spaces and scoring goals. At least, we can prioritize defending, playing this way. Teams are punishing us way too easily with this ridiculous highline, which is why our defenders are so injury-prone with this current system. @johnhudghton3535
we have already signed a young prospect that can score goals, Echeverri is coming in January, he's also a great playmaker which would help haaland alot
I love these player stat comparison videos that you do. Amazing work. 🔥 Can you do one on Doku vs Vinicius Jr cause ai saw some stats which showed Doku had overall better stats than Vini jr last season
Kyogo and Ricci would be good buys for City. I feel like if we go for the likes of Zubimendi and Ederson we will be paying more in January as both are crucial players for the respective sides and have already been linked with the likes of Liverpool
If they are quality players, I don't think we should be bothered about paying more. We can't be signing bums just because we don't want to spend additional 20m or so
This is absolutely not the time for the club to be stingy with the money. This is an urgent matter that needs to be resolved and we need to be targeting high quality players. Not bang average players
these players are in different teams, under different managers, with different game plan, playing different tactics, so the main focus should be a player who will fit right in the Pep style of play, who can dominate that midfield, gives City something going forward, quick ball recoveries when we lost position.
Musiala or Wirtz are needed in the summer but what about the possibility of Wharton in January he's young and his ceiling is sky high but i said during the summer they should have just have paid whatever the release clause was 80 million £ i think for Bruno G. considering the position City are in now hindsight being 20/20 I'm sure they regret not paying the transfer fee
It's hard to get a player from palace. Especially at January. No one expected in rodri getting injured 🥲. I don't think bruno coming as rodri backup. He is Newcastle captian now
Common sense should have made them to know that Rodri was definitely being worked to the ground. It was only a matter of time for an injury to occur. Besides you should always prepare for such a situation
We need speed at the back a good young dm some one we can mould to our dna but means pep would need to commit to at least two more years I think he might go for that it would be like starting again
Side note but if Walker, Foden and Grealish aren't fit then why on earth are they off to play 3 pointless friendlies for England? And if they are fit then why haven't they been playing like it all bloody season? Really really disappointed in those 3
Pep turned down the signing of Kyogo because he prefers working with a smaller squad and doesn't want the club to waste money on unnecessary signings according to a podcast on the City channel. Now we are paying the price with all these injuries.
Pep is tired, of winning of course. Allow him to rest off field than on the bench as he seems to do. Pep and a number of aged players have won every thing there 8s to win. Its not only the hunger thats missing but the energy as well.
Our biggest transfer issue is not knowing Pep will sign more than a one year extension. I think most players would want to play under Pep but at the same time will feel that choosing to play for Pep at City for just one year might not be the best option especially if they don't know his replacement.
I think if we go for speed and fast recovery in our transfers, that’s us adjusting to our rival’s tactics, we should invest in what gave us our previous success, intelligent players that understands and can execute PEP’s instructions.
Gorviol rodri kovacic to the midfielder with debruyn playing behind Holland, doku on the left and Bernardo silver on the right, that's a more active team i think
City needs to sign Wirtz, Kudus, Lukeba, Diomande, Ricci & Zuibamendi and sign another striker to challenge Haaland for his Spot Gyorkeres is perfect but Rafa Leao is also ideal both strikers in great form
To be honest Zubamendi is like a Sergio Busquet and under Pep he become even better Just look how he plays and he could play alongside Rodri with 2 Defensive cover in Midfield think abt it City Fans
When you get beat by Bournemouth & struggle against Wolves & Southampton you know theirs a problem going on in the Team, plus were are so predictable in play
Seems to me nunes is the perfect partner to have with either gundogan or kovacic because they’re not very good at defending while nunes is and is also very fast. I’m not sure why pep has not tried that
I honestly think that city should get pep to extend for 1 or 2 years and the hire the replacement manager as the assistant so there’s a smooth transition
Hey, a Manchester United fan here. Yeah, I support Manchester United. However, I hope you accept me and don't judge me only because of the team I support. I would also like to give out some suggestions about Manchester City's transfer window in January and perhaps maybe even the summer. So, obviously, halfway through the season and Manchester City are NOT looking good so far. In the Premier League, they have played 17 games where they have: won 8, drawn 3 and lost 6 and by Christmas, they sit 7th in the table. The Champions League isn't looking good for them either. 6 games in the league phases played and Manchester City have: won 2, drawn 2 and lost 2 and they also sit 22nd in the table, struggling to maybe even qualify for the knockouts. It is pretty obvious that Manchester City need some quick signings in January to try and rebuild their form back. I will be going through every single position in Pep Guardiola's system and picking who he should buy, keep and sell. GOALKEEPERS: Currently, Manchester City have 3 goalkeepers. They have their first choice goalkeeper in Ederson, their second-choice goalkeeper in Stefan Ortega and their third-choice goalkeeper in Scott Carson. I'm not sure about the summer, but for at least January, Ederson should be a keep. I know for some occasions, Pep Guardiola has chosen Stefan Ortega over him in the starting line-ups but I think we all know Ederson is still the starting goalkeeper for Manchester City. I believe Stefan Ortega should also be a keep. When Ederson has been injured, Stefan Ortega has been quite useful and stepped up to the plate. Despite some errors, he mostly makes an all-round well performance. Despite his age, I think Scott Carson should be a keep as well. Most teams have this third-choice goalkeeper who is homegrown and lovable like Manchester United with Tom Heaton and Liverpool with Viteszlav Jaros. EDERSON - keep ORTEGA - keep CARSON - keep CENTRE-BACKS: Currently, the centre-backs Pep Guardiola has at Manchester City are: John Stones, Ruben Dias, Manuel Akanji and Nathan Ake. People say that the defence is the problem right now at Manchester City. I think John Stones should be a keep. We know that John Stones can score these crucial goals from set pieces when Manchester City need it, like when they beat Wolves 2-1. Although his defending has been recently questionable, I do believe he still deserves his spot in the Manchester City squad. Another central defender I believe should be a keep: Ruben Dias. Despite Manchester City currently struggling defensively, if I'm being honest I believe their best shot-stopper and their best at preventing attacks this season has been Ruben Dias but I believe his problem is definitely match fitness. I believe Ruben Dias could bring a lot to Manchester City's defence when he's available but that is exactly what the problem is with him. However, despite all of that, I believe Ruben Dias should be a keep. With their regular starters already being kept, I believe at least one of the centre-backs should be sold. That means I think either Manuel Akanji or Nathan Ake should be sold. If it were up to me, I would choose Manuel Akanji over Nathan Ake. Nathan Ake hasn't really done much for Manchester City both this season and last. He didn't have much memorable moments last season while Manuel Akanji was known for having a great campaign at the previous EUROs and has arguably been Switzerland's best player in the competition. With Ake out of the way, I believe Manchester City should sign a centre-back that could be a regular starter if they want their defence to improve, I believe this is a realistic signing as well but I think they will sign him: Benjamin Pavard. I think Benjamin Pavard will be a starter with Manuel Akanji being a definite back-up. The hard decision is choosing Pavard's main partner; Ruben Dias or John Stones? I believe Ruben Dias is better defensively and if Manchester City are going to have 2 centre-backs who can do a great job defensively; their defence will massively improve. DIAS - keep STONES - keep AKANJI - keep AKE - sell FULL-BACKS: I believe there needs to be a lot of tweaking done for the full-backs. Manchester City currently have Kyle Walker and Rico Lewis who play on the right-hand side of the pitch as well as Josko Gvardiol who plays on the left-hand side of the pitch. I believe every Manchester City fan has noticed this but Kyle Walker's form has massively declined and people could say it is because he's aging. During Manchester City's losing streak, Kyle Walker was one of the main men to blame. However, especially during pre-season, Rico Lewis has been looking promising. I believe Manchester City should sell Kyle Walker and sign a world-class right-back as I don't see Rico Lewis being the main starting right-back. This is a big name but I think Manchester City could sign him. His name is: Jeremie Frimpong. He could bring a great asset both offensive and defensive. I believe he could be a great add to Manchester City. On the left-back side, the only natural left-back Manchester City have right now is Josko Gvardiol and sometimes he has been shifted to a CB so we saw some odds like Matheus Nunes playing as a LEFT-BACK in the Manchester Derby. I believe Manchester City should sign a LB that can be a back-up for Josko Gvardiol and I believe Pep Guardiola has to play Josko Gvardiol as a LB regularly now. This player is a LB for Fulham and I believe he can be a great back-up for Josko Gvardiol. His name is: Antonee Robinson. He is a natural left-back and when Manchester City need an extra LB, he can be the man. WALKER - sell GVARDIOL - keep LEWIS - keep MIDFIELD: The midfield is where Pep Guardiola needs to strengthen in January. With Rodri out injured for the rest of the season, Manchester City now do not have a natural CDM. Players like Ilkay Gundogan and Mateo Kovacic tried to play there but it just did not work out. The midfielders Manchester City currently have right now are: Ilkay Gundogan, Mateo Kovacic, Bernardo Silva, Matheus Nunes, Kevin de Bruyne and perhaps even Jack Grealish as Pep Guardiola found out that he plays his best football in the middle of the pitch. They have Rodri as well but he is injured for the rest of the season. Manchester City desperately needs to sign a defensive midfielder that can get used to starting games but can get used to sitting on the bench over Rodri for next season. I believe they should sign this midfielder from Italian club - AC Milan. His name is: Tijjani Reijnders. He is absolutely crushing it with AC Milan this season and would be a great add to Manchester City's team. If they are looking to SELL any midfielders. I believe Kevin de Bruyne should be a definite keep as I think the attack looks better with him in the starting line-up. Ilkay Gundogan has just returned back to Manchester City and if I had to choose who was doing the best at trying to replace Rodri, I would say Ilkay Gundogan. Bernardo Silva has been doing alright as an emergency winger. Despite Manchester City's struggles, Matheus Nunes has been looking solid in the midfield so I believe he should be kept. We're starting to see Jack Grealish play good football again in the midfield however I don't think he WILL be a midfielder as Pep Guardiola has recently played him as a winger so unfortunately, I think Jack Grealish should leave. If anyone else had to go, unfortunately it has to be Mateo Kovacic. He had his moments at Manchester City but I think his time is already up. RODRI - keep DE BRUYNE - keep GUNDOGAN - keep SILVA - keep NUNES - keep GREALISH - sell KOVACIC - sell WINGERS: With Jack Grealish being moved to midfield or maybe even being sold, Manchester City do not have much wingers. The wingers they have are: Phil Foden, Oscar Bobb, Jeremy Doku and Savinho. Oscar Bobb is currently injured and is too young to start many games for Manchester City and despite having an amazing campaign last season, Phil Foden's form is also starting to decline. I think Jeremy Doku and Savinho should be the starting wingers with Savinho starting on the right and Doku starting on the left. I also believe Oscar Bobb should be the back-up RW for Savinho and that Phil Foden should be the back-up LW for Doku. I don't think any of these wingers should be sold neither do I think Pep Guardiola needs to sign a winger. BOBB - keep FODEN - keep DOKU - keep SAVINHO - keep STRIKER: I believe Manchester City desperately need a back-up striker for Erling Haaland. Before, Manchester City had Julian Alvarez who they could use to play games and rest Erling Haaland which is why he was successful back then as he was rested and used for the biggest games. Now, Manchester City do not have a back-up striker and Erling Haaland's form has started to decrease a little. I still believe Erling Haaland should be the starting striker for Manchester City but he definitely needs a back-up. This man has been doing it for Ipswich Town this season and has played in Manchester City's academy before. I think it is time for Manchester City to get Liam Delap back. Liam Delap is capable of scoring goals when his team needs it and can be a perfect back-up for Erling Haaland. HAALAND - keep NEW A-TEAM: GK: Ederson RB: Jeremie Frimpong CB: Ruben Dias CB: Benjamin Pavard LB: Josko Gvardiol CDM: Rodri CM: Bernardo Silva CAM: Kevin de Bruyne RW: Savinho LW: Jeremy Doku ST: Erling Haaland NEW B-TEAM: GK: Stefan Ortega RB: Rico Lewis CB: John Stones CB: Manuel Akanji LB: Antonee Robinson CDM: Tijjani Reijnders CM: Matheus Nunes CM: Ilkay Gundogan RW: Oscar Bobb LW: Phil Foden ST: Liam Delap (Please give me feedback as this took a lot of time and also hope you accept me despite me being a Man United fan.)
Its not speed that we need from our defensive midfielders, but rather a system that keeps defenders in their positions except for occassional forays upfront during set pieces. Watch and copy Liverpool and Arsenal defensive play
Love this channel. Tactical break downs are super helpful. I agree, the fairweather fans calling for Pep's head are delusional. Every team goes through ups and downs, especially after such prolonged ups. I've only been a city fan for 5 years or so and I would never even dare say some stupid shit like that. I also don't understand the people who turn on the players and talk shit to them on instagram after one or two bad games. Some fans are brutal. That being said, I think we as a team need another player that is like a young/fresh Kyle Walker. Someone aggressive and fast af. I would LOVE to see City go after Antonee Robinson. I think he could REALLY help us in transition and be a great safeguard at the back against that counter attack that we're so vulnerable to usually. If we got him and another defensive midfielder then 5 in row would almost be a certainty.
Your saying about the midfield mate which is fair enough but i go almost every week home and away but the defending has been awful bud...we never killed the game off in the first half either
We are not using Erling's best ability, in counter attacking and attacking transition football can increase his chance to score. ❤ From 🇮🇳, always a sky blue (I know Pep won't change his tactics ofc)
I'd pick Ricci. We need an anchor at the moment and he is the man. Strong in 1 Vs 1 tackles and the more defensive side of the game. That will strengthen us up on transition. Tbh the big replacement we need is KDB. When he is out Haaland simply doesn't score. We need a creator in chief.
Lavia, Palmer and now Delap. Thats a disaster in the making. The board must be questioned for what they have done. They were our best talents and are now smashing the premier league. This shows that the path to first team is blocked for academy players.
the fact u r comparing rodri’s prime to zubamindi is unfair, if u compar rodri prior his arrival to city to firnandinho u won’t ever take rodri as he wasn’t even close to him.. players they progress under the right management and coach..
Football standards nowadays are either win all games with couple draws.. or if you lose 2 games in a row even if you are Sir alex, then you are facing the sack? what is this
Yes brother ya bang on it bro I’m exactly like YOU old school, sick of these so called city fans even saying pep out have they not seen what happens to other teams the should be careful what they ask for, rather have pep than not&belive he will turn it around &I thrust in us with everything going on at the Etihad we’re still growing &belive the prem&champions league a possibility, just have to see how we go as for people coming in if we get decent players in January then go for it but the main transfer will be done in summer&hopefully have echeverri &maximo get a chance still would like a defender &move Gvardiol into Rodri stones roll cos he’s class,as always bro so are you👊
IL just say this it's only been a few games that city is coming off bad understand most players are injured. Same of the city fan base makes me sick . For loosing amd doing bad when the team Been elite for years . Understand they can't keep up the sane level same hunger and energy it's not the same . But they trying. Just have faith whatever the outcome is . But it's stupid how yall get when they have a few losses 😮
We have not tailored our talent with our midfield. Drop O'REILLY in their. You can't have slow old midfielders trying to play first line of defense against speedy attackers. We need a back up striker. Pep can solve the defense issues with a formation adjustment. Anyone else feels like we suffocate our attack by piling everyone from the center line to the other teams 18? We run ourselves right up to their 18 we're there 10 guys in, they're there 11 guys in and then our players in the box are so tight the same 3 on Haaland is also marking Bernado and Phil. We are creating our own issues.
We do not need to buy in January. We have Rico. We were dominant with Rico in midfield vs Sporting. We lost the match because were not clinical in the final third Haaland miss and dubious pens.

I have lived through the Dark Ages a couple of times following the BLUES so the newer fans need to look back at CITY’s history, which is quite unique!

How are you feeling about Sat vs Spurs? If Pep doesnt change anything, and given how good Spurs are on the counter along with how poor we have been, it could be a very long day. Praying Pep makes a few adjustments
Well said Johnny 🩵💙💪👊
This channel is the good thing to be man city support at the moment ❤❤❤❤❤❤
We’ve played our best football with Dias/Stones, Rodri, KDB, Haaland. All 5 are struggling with injuries, so we’ve completely lost the spine of our team, once we get that back (with a substitute for Rodri) I don’t see why we won’t go back to playing our best football
Lavia and Liam Delap were already made backups for those crucial positions. We should trust our academy more because now they seem like ready made PL players
Lavia was a big fumble tbh. We should have kept him and never bought Kalvin.
@kumarbhargabkalita6798 couldn't agree more! I think that was what made him move and seek first team opportunities else where, and Delap is going to be some player, what a well rounded striker who can do everything.
@@JohnnyMckenzie262 Keeping them and Cole Palmer is an easy decision in hindsight
@@adrianbennett3761 even during their time with the EDS it wasn't hard to tell that they are PL quality. The EDS and Academy have been dominating England's Youth football. McAtee, Delap, Lavia, Lewis, Bobb, Palmer, Trafford were all part of those teams
@ it wouldn’t surprise me to see Trafford back at Man City. Selling Palmer was one of the club’s worst decisions like buying Phillips.
Mediocrity and a lack of pace in the 6,8,10, positions are blunting our attack and leaving our defence naked. This video, and valuable stats, were right on point.
Ricci & Zubimendi is best option out here
I won't complain about the future work that Hugo, Ferran and Pep will do... this is certainly certain... with the exit of Txixi and the entry of Hugo we would be different regarding the various future horizons on the market coups that we will sign... We will be more flexible... and we will give more importance to the youth sector... filling it with future hidden gems!
I want pep to stay obs,but im excited/intriged about who will succeed him.
I miss Italian blood at city, Ricci can make a double pivot with kovacic
If Pep doesn’t want to continue in a manager’s role, I wonder if he could carry out a role for the CFG similar to Jurgen Klopp’s role with Red Bull.
No, the problem Is the tactics. This season's high line has been a disaster.
Very hard to find a trusted speedy CDM who vacuum the lost balls like Rodri.
we have already signed a young prospect that can score goals, Echeverri is coming in January, he's also a great playmaker which would help haaland alot
We can't be signing bums just because we don't want to spend additional 20m or so
Y'all just wasting you;re time. Pep won't buy anyone. He will rely on Academy players
This is absolutely not the time for the club to be stingy with the money. This is an urgent matter that needs to be resolved and we need to be targeting high quality players. Not bang average players
I would love to see romeo lavia back at city. He played really well especially against liverpool I think
these players are in different teams, under different managers, with different game plan, playing different tactics, so the main focus should be a player who will fit right in the Pep style of play, who can dominate that midfield, gives City something going forward, quick ball recoveries when we lost position.
10 players city should prioritize for the 2 aproaching transfer windows:
#1). Xavi Simons (Am) £100m
#2). Ricci (Dm) £40m
#3).wendel silva (Cf) price 100k
#4).Eze (Am) price £60m
#5).Warthon (Dm) price £60m
#6).Musiala (Am) price £150m
#7).Giorgio scalvini (CB) price £60m
#8).castello Lukeba (CB) price £50m
#9).Jarrad Branthwaite (CB) price £40m
#10).Murillo Nottingham (CB) price £30m
Side note but if Walker, Foden and Grealish aren't fit then why on earth are they off to play 3 pointless friendlies for England? And if they are fit then why haven't they been playing like it all bloody season? Really really disappointed in those 3
Grealish leaving for sure
foden is fit mate
Try out Maximo Perrone
Pep turned down the signing of Kyogo because he prefers working with a smaller squad and doesn't want the club to waste money on unnecessary signings according to a podcast on the City channel. Now we are paying the price with all these injuries.
Believe we can get through this as a team ! Peaks & troughs! Pep will fix it !
Can you find stats for Tijjani Reinders of AC Milan, could be an option maybe. Keep up the good work Jonny.
That midfield needs to be fixed asap
wit *kova - Bernardo & Gundo* combo = 94 yrs old midfields weak/slow & bush wacked easy to mugged on transition
They Also need more attacking full backs that can create chances for Halland preferably theo hernandez
Ricci+Luis Diaz+Van de Ven🤔 not safe to say back we would have the best team
We need to get through Sunday and then hopefully we have a fitter sqaud after the break.
Honestly...i feel we need traditional fullbacks or wingbacks..Walkers recovery pace was one of the major reasons we could play such a highline
Great vid!
Dark place sat in 2nd😂 watched them since 1983 so saw plenty of tosh, believe me if this is a dark place ill take that any day of the week 👍
Gorviol rodri kovacic to the midfielder with debruyn playing behind Holland, doku on the left and Bernardo silver on the right, that's a more active team i think
THE FACT BRIGHTON ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO PLAYING US SAYS IT ALL, PEP HAS BEEN SUSSED OUT
watched ricci and ederson both not as good as Morten Hjulmand
We (City) are still in it.Let us rally behind the team.
If we lose to Brighton, no doubt the "city fans" will start wanting him sacked. Its unreal. Wake up guys. It's the players doing shit. Not pep
Its Pep rather, the genius, who is doing shit with that high line defence
@@HananiNleya-dn1fenah, against sporting we gave away 2 pens that were all the players fault
Pep will stay!!!👍🏾
City needs to sign Wirtz, Kudus, Lukeba, Diomande, Ricci & Zuibamendi and sign another striker to challenge Haaland for his Spot Gyorkeres is perfect but Rafa Leao is also ideal both strikers in great form
To be honest Zubamendi is like a Sergio Busquet and under Pep he become even better
Just look how he plays and he could play alongside Rodri with 2 Defensive cover in Midfield think abt it City Fans
No panic. But the squad needs a full refreshing and Pep on the hot seat.
😊😊😊😊😊 Wonderful
GOALKEEPERS:
Currently, Manchester City have 3 goalkeepers.
EDERSON - keep
ORTEGA - keep
CARSON - keep
CENTRE-BACKS:
Currently, the centre-backs Pep Guardiola has at Manchester City are: John Stones, Ruben Dias, Manuel Akanji and Nathan Ake.
DIAS - keep
STONES - keep
AKANJI - keep
AKE - sell
FULL-BACKS:
I believe there needs to be a lot of tweaking done for the full-backs.
WALKER - sell
GVARDIOL - keep
LEWIS - keep
MIDFIELD:
The midfield is where Pep Guardiola needs to strengthen in January.
RODRI - keep
DE BRUYNE - keep
GUNDOGAN - keep
SILVA - keep
NUNES - keep
GREALISH - sell
KOVACIC - sell
WINGERS:
With Jack Grealish being moved to midfield or maybe even being sold, Manchester City do not have much wingers.
BOBB - keep
FODEN - keep
DOKU - keep
SAVINHO - keep
STRIKER:
I believe Manchester City desperately need a back-up striker for Erling Haaland.
HAALAND - keep

We need a good RB with a little bit of pace.
LISTEN MATE SEASON TICKET FROM 97 SO I STAND BY MY OPINIONS
Pep will probably find a random player that nobody knows and ends up being a great player
Its not speed that we need from our defensive midfielders, but rather a system that keeps defenders in their positions except for occassional forays upfront during set pieces. Watch and copy Liverpool and Arsenal defensive play
Give Pep a FRESH breed of players for him to stick around longer come on City
If we got him and another defensive midfielder then 5 in row would almost be a certainty.
i would buy both ederson and ricci for squad depth
i'll sign Ederson or Ricci
Pep deffinately is the key he's the pulling power we've got to keep him
Your saying about the midfield mate which is fair enough but i go almost every week home and away but the defending has been awful bud...we never killed the game off in the first half either
Pep said if everyone is fit we will not go to the market
I never understood Matteo kovacic signature
City!!!
Ederson cud be perfect for us if u use him properly
Lavia, Palmer and now Delap. Thats a disaster in the making. The board must be questioned for what they have done. They were our best talents and are now smashing the premier league. This shows that the path to first team is blocked for academy players.
How i wish pep could sign zubmend
Fuck it, just get Phillips back. 😂
Pep is a GOAT as always!
Sign alllll
Jack of all trades and a master of none, is more useful than being a master of one. Thought i'd share something from my school days.
Lets recall kalvin Phillips from loan
Which site is he taking the speed of players🤔
Nunes and Kova would be a perfect combination but Pep won’t 😒😒🙄
RB could take Wan bisaka he's consistent en speed as well
the fact u r comparing rodri’s prime to zubamindi is unfair, if u compar rodri prior his arrival to city to firnandinho u won’t ever take rodri as he wasn’t even close to him.. players they progress under the right management and coach..
Football standards nowadays are either win all games with couple draws.. or if you lose 2 games in a row even if you are Sir alex, then you are facing the sack? what is this
Id get all 3
Yes brother ya bang on it bro I’m exactly like YOU old school, sick of these so called city fans even saying pep out have they not seen what happens to other teams the should be careful what they ask for, rather have pep than not&belive he will turn it around &I thrust in us with everything going on at the Etihad we’re still growing &belive the prem&champions league a possibility, just have to see how we go as for people coming in if we get decent players in January then go for it but the main transfer will be done in summer&hopefully have echeverri &maximo get a chance still would like a defender &move Gvardiol into Rodri stones roll cos he’s class,as always bro so are you👊
just show them the project and the cash and they will come
IL just say this it's only been a few games that city is coming off bad understand most players are injured.
Everything depends on Pep tho..
We don't need Rodrigo
We do not need to buy in January. We have Rico. We were dominant with Rico in midfield vs Sporting. We lost the match because were not clinical in the final third Haaland miss and dubious pens.
