After reviewing your last 8 posts. I did not see any Christmas decorations. With the exception of a few lose trees and one at the preserve. Do you see any at night?
I rarely venture out at night here. Driving after dark is too much of an adventure but I'll probably have some shots of what is here soon in a future post.
Great video...I've never heard of the canal...is it man made? It appears so, I'd love to see drone footage of Mavic skimming at 40 ft following the canal. Did I mention I broke down and bought a DJI Spark? Slowing down that gimbal speed is like priority #1, eh? I find a lot of inspiration in how you transition from handheld camera to drone, well done.

It's also a matter of practice like most things but I also use different settings such as tripod mode and Cinematic to get certain shots. Gimbal adjustment will surely help too. The reality is the more you practice and use it the better and easier it gets which goes for cameras and drones. I still have a long way to go.
